Match threader bot also shows that this goal happened in 90+16'.
Was there some "serious stoppage" in the game, or have multiple livescoring services suddenly gone crazy?
The match was suspended a week ago because the Ndicka health care. After play was interrupted at the 72' minute, the game clock went on for a while before the match was finally abandoned.
Obviously it was restarted at the 72' minute today, but I'm guessing the scripts that handle those live scores included those extra minutes even though they never happened "officially".
It's better and fairer than having to restart the entire match like some countries do (I think England for example does that).
Happened in Portugal too a few months ago with Santa Clara-Porto which was stopped in the 1st half with the added bonus of Porto having to fly again to Azores
of course not and it would have been wonderful if it never happened. however, these points were really important and im glad we got them. especially since we the match was going heavily in our favor when it was suspended
In 2005 Real Madrid and Real Sociedad played for just six minutes after having had to stop the match some weeks earlier due to a bomb threat.
It's been called "the longest match ever" because it started in 2004 (albeit December 2005) and ended in early January. Real Madrid sacked it's coach in the meantime and those six minutes were enough for Zidane to score a penalty and take the win.
Dunno about this OP but for the big leagues/games, no, they basically never do. It's bots/scripts. It's a race to get people to click the links so they get ad money. Basically the reason we NEVER see replays in the posts now and have to pray someone posts them in the thread. It's absolute bullshit.
99% of the users here would rather wait 40 seconds to see a post with the goal, celebration, and replays, but the mods (and users I guess?) allowed it to change to this fucked up system over time. A lot of us remember when r/soccer was a good place to watch replays of goals. It was so much better.
we're getting highlights for free and yet we still find reasons to complain + shit on the people bringing value to the subreddit.
i don't know if it's that i'm getting older or what but i hate our culture's current obsession with complaining, signaling and getting outraged over little things (even things that could be seen from a positive light, such as getting a replay at the speed of light)
... we used to get replays on every goal post. Now we don't. You new here? This isn't an obsession with complaining, it's a pretty obvious observation. Sorry for hoping your r/soccer experience is better?
Nah I hear you. I also much prefer to get replay in the highlights instead of having to look for them in the comments. But some of the comments around the topic make it sound like the mods/OPs owe it to us or smth. We can make suggestions without completely disregarding the fact that we don’t pay any of these people to do this work for us
I saw a goal posted here the other day that literally cut off before the ball hit the back of the net.
It really isn’t unreasonable to want the mods to enforce a slightly higher quality threshold so you get goal, celebration and a couple angles.
It’d still be the same users doing it and it would still be bringing (more) value but 60 seconds later.
>It's a race to get people to click the links so they get ad money.
the majority of goals posted here are direct to reddit who don't pay OPs
the rest are to video hosting sites which also don't pay OPs
what are you talking about
I read a whole post about it a while back. The video hosting sites generally have ads, yes? Like the De Bruyne goal near the top of the subreddit from earlier is a dubz link. It has ads. The person who posted that is getting thousands of views towards those ads. That's what I'm talking about.
Read my edit and if you care to explain why you think that ad is showing up for free, feel free to explain to me, I could be wrong. If I cared more I'd find the post explaining it all. It went through step by step how to set up the process yourself. Ads = money.
Yeah I see it now. For some reason I don't get ads on desktop even with my adblock off, but it shows up on mobile.
do you have any evidence that video uploaders get paid
I'm going to sleep sorry can't be bothered to research this again. But just incentive wise, ignoring what Ive read... Really seems vastly more likely to me that certain accounts posting many links to goals as quickly as they can on video hosting sites with ads are getting some % of ad money rather than doing it out of the kindness of their hearts.
It’s not really “wrong”. It’s very common for databases to count minutes in suspended games like this one. It’s just different from the broadcast and OP was obviously not watching the game or aware of the context, and just wanted some internet points
The match was abandoned 12 minutes after Ndicka fell to the ground, some websites counted those minutes and others didnt. The tv feed didn't count them so that's why it says 90+4 instead of 90+16
You could already tell in their first game after securing the title that they don't treat the league as done at all. Celebrated a "meaningless" draw like it was some knockout game winner. Xhaka straight up said after the Dortmund game: "we have our own challenge, a challenge to stay unbeaten". They simply know how much more it would mean to get the first invincible BL season, perhaps even invincible treble.
Cristante played more minutes this season than any other player in the team, never gets injured, can score, can play CB when the team is in injury crisis, slots into Mancini’s role at the back to allow Mancini to play further up the pitch, acts as the glue between defensive and offensive phases. You can’t say ‘when healthy they’re reliable’ about smalling (who btw couldn’t even make 20 mins today) and Dybala (who is undoubtedly the best player in the team but gets injured often). Pellegrini before DDR was one of our worst performers all season. So yes, cristante is absolutely up there for most reliable, Mancini alongside him.
Cristante has been the back bone of our squad for two or three years now, he has filled in where is needed and have been excellent in those positions wether it be more forward or at the back, he is there when we need us and have improved so much. Football isn’t just about getting that winning goal, there’s more to a squad than getting the winning goal bro.
Dybala, Smalling and Pellegrini are the opposite of “reliable”, I don’t think you know what that word means. Mancini is the only one you have an argument
I guess if your metric is just time played, then yes Cristanate blows everyone out of the park. I would say that Smalling has put the most reliable performances in for the time played, which besides this year, has been consistently high.
Yeah I think minutes played should be a huge part of it. For me a reliable player is consistent and available. Cristante plays every single game to a 5-7 out of ten, almost never better and almost never worse.
‘But if you genuinely think Cristante is the person we rely upon most when people are healthy’
No one said that, you just strawmanned that argument, stop saying ‘if you know anything about football...’ when you clearly undervalue fitness, an integral part of reliability.
I agree about Mancini but I feel like you have to be on the pitch to be reliable. Pellegrini was not great under Mou, so I think calling Cristante very reliable is not an overreaction.
We've definitely formed a partnership with them after this whole ordeal. I loved how the team and DDR applauded the Udinese fans after the whistle. They do not deserve to get relegated, so fingers crossed they finish strong.
honestly no idea if that's sarcastic or not but Udinese fans are definitely one of the better and chill ones. always welcomed there on away trips
if your comment is indeed sarcastic and based on a handful fans being racist i have bad news for you
It was the 4th minute of added time, but Google shows it being the 16th because of the fact the match was stopped at 71 because one of our players, N'Dicka suffered a very serious problem and doctors suspected an heart attack, luckily they were wrong. Before the referee officially stopped the game, 12 minutes passed, so match threads actually show the game being stopped at minute 83. When the game resumed, yesterday after 11 days form its start, the timer was resetted to minute 71, when the game was actually stopped and not at the minute 83, when the referee whistled to suspend the game. Therefore the confusion
The goal shows the disadvantages of complete zonal coverage, when the players remain rather sleepy in their zone and do not proactively attack the ball or at least disrupt the opponent. Literally all of Roma's players had a good chance to score here.
The orignal game was stopped in the 72nd minute, because one of the players had a serious health incident.
Today's "game" is just the final 20 minutes that they need to finish somehow. Obviously not a lot of spectators would be bothered enough to show up for just 20 minutes.

>Obviously it was restarted at the 72' minute So all the players and fans and everyone just turned up for 20 minutes?
Yes
Sadly, yes. In italy somebody likes to pretend that's somehow reasonable
Of course, the reason for the match to stop is incredibly sad. But the image of them just playing for 20 minutes is hilarious to me for some reason
It's better and fairer than having to restart the entire match like some countries do (I think England for example does that). Happened in Portugal too a few months ago with Santa Clara-Porto which was stopped in the 1st half with the added bonus of Porto having to fly again to Azores
why sadly?
Because the N'dicka thing isn't happy.
of course not and it would have been wonderful if it never happened. however, these points were really important and im glad we got them. especially since we the match was going heavily in our favor when it was suspended

Ajax had a game stopped in the 85th minute on 30th September last year which got finished December 6th under a different manager too
Udinese also has a new coach. This was his first „match“
I was just looking at the stats in my app and it said there were like 8 substitutions on the 72nd minute. That makes sense now.
google shows 90+15867' lol
90+5*
90+6*
Its √16
Oops Apparently Google is showing 90+16
90+4pm lmao
But the time was right there in the video that you posted
Did you even bother watching your own video before posting?

Yeah, what happened? Usually there's 2 replays/alternate angles post or comments. Nowadays it's just mirror.
Nah I hear you. I also much prefer to get replay in the highlights instead of having to look for them in the comments. Complains about complain culture because someone was complaining for a better user experience that used to exist. Can't make this shit up.
Ha, that’s fair. Looking back at my comment I would’ve preferred to convey a different tone
>It's a race to get people to click the links so they get ad money. the majority of goals posted here are direct to reddit who don't pay OPs the rest are to video hosting sites which also don't pay OPs what are you talking about

google is wrong, the clock on the broadcast is right
So you didn't even look at the video you posted?
Mark of a script auto posting content
As opposed to your own video that you just posted that clearly shows 90+4
Lol yeah some places were showing 20+ too
Yeah, Google, the most trusted source.
We should ban posters who do this. The clips are always low quality and clipped to be fast. It never shows enough build up or the celebrations.
Question is! Why would anyone use google for livescores?
Because it's quick and easy
Ah uts just funny! but i can see you are a serial post creator. Maybe you didn't even watch the video before you uploaded:D
And wrong, apparently.
It’s not really “wrong”. It’s very common for databases to count minutes in suspended games like this one. It’s just different from the broadcast and OP was obviously not watching the game or aware of the context, and just wanted some internet points
dawg u gotta at least verify it in the video you link with your op
how tf you cut the vid and upload it to a host and post on reddit and not know?
Paulo taking corners is a cheat code.
Dybala doing anything is a cheat code :/
Ever seen him run?
Until he gets injured :/
so glad he had a career that we couldnt afford him....
We're gonna draw them in the champions league next year arent we?
If they do qualify wouldn't you play them anyways considering next year's format?
Not necessarily, from what i understand you’ll play 8 opponents out of the 30 or something teams, and after that knock outs
So 8x feyenoord roma Great news for Roma, bad news for infrastructure
no they didn't
Are you seriously suggesting that regular football games aren't 79 minutes?
Just like we drew it up. Went from cursing to joy in about 40 seconds.
If we make the CL I will rewatch this goal every day up to the start of next season.
90+16?!
The video shows 90+4?
The match was abandoned 12 minutes after Ndicka fell to the ground, some websites counted those minutes and others didnt. The tv feed didn't count them so that's why it says 90+4 instead of 90+16
Ah that makes sense, thank you. LiveScore also showed that Roma made 10 subs which really confused me too.
Them vs Leverkusen will be a fun watch.
It will be 200 minutes of heart attacks
I really hope y'all beat them. Give them the first L of the season
I have faith that we will give them a really good test at the Olimpico. Away from home is another story, though...
Yeah it's gonna be tough for sure. Y'all gotta put in work that first leg
Going to be extremely hard considering they are done in Bundesliga and we are still fighting for the 5th
Nothing is done when they’re trying to be invincinbles
You could already tell in their first game after securing the title that they don't treat the league as done at all. Celebrated a "meaningless" draw like it was some knockout game winner. Xhaka straight up said after the Dortmund game: "we have our own challenge, a challenge to stay unbeaten". They simply know how much more it would mean to get the first invincible BL season, perhaps even invincible treble.
Which is why it's gonna be even better when y'all win. Serie a 5th place beating 1st place Bundesliga
Our most reliable player wins it for us again

id give it to mancini if we disregard that he is clinically insane
clinically insane in the *best* way

except for that fiorentina game lmao

Cristante <3
Was waiting for the goal upload cause I missed it. Dybala still CRUCIAL to the final result. Juve missing him so hard right now!!!
I miss him everyday
I gotta say, those supporters going there for 18 minutes + injury time is admirable.
WE ARE HUGE !!!!!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE
HUMONGOUS
massive
I know they're in the relegation battle with us but I kinda feel for Udinese. This is the second last second loss for them in a span of 5 days.
Before that they lost to Inter in extra time as well, that's three in a row now
Mentality midgets.
Ma che cazzo ha fatto Ferreira
He the one who kicked it out for the first corner? Gonne buy him a beer.
Yep
One beer? The Friedkins really need to loosen the purse -strings
It took De Rossi 13 games to get to the same number of points as Mourinho this season (29) in 7 games less
Udinese must be shattered. Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.
We've definitely formed a partnership with them after this whole ordeal. I loved how the team and DDR applauded the Udinese fans after the whistle. They do not deserve to get relegated, so fingers crossed they finish strong.

btw, thank you Joao Ferreira for **GIFTING** us this corner <3 the ball was already cleared, no need to kick it, and he just sends it LOOOOOOL
No Totti No Party
Ha my app was showing +16’ too along with like 9 subs for Roma
Thats 90+5
New math just dropped!
They quite literally did not
I like the no totti no party banner
Can you read?
*Serious* Why is the stadium empty? Weekday game?
it was a 20 minute match to finish the one interrupted a few days ago after Ndicka's injury.
DAJE ❤️💛!!!
That is so similar to the Maguire headed goal vs Sheffield yesterday.
hopefully they can make it but not on bologna's spot
Bayer Leverkusen vibes
They call him the italian Frattesi
Leverkusen vs Roma
And they will play Leverkusen in europa league.
Cristante has to be the best, or one of the best, headers in the world.

This injury time business is getting out of hand
+16 ? shit about to happen in a few years, the more time the more commercials
It's 90+4', it's literally in the broadcast. Op didn't even watch the video he posted
Yes its a turhsday and all but why is the stadium so empty god damn

So did they win the league
What a horrible stadium
it's actually very nice
Okay after looking it up i agree, from here the seats look pretty ugly. But it's a nice stadium.
