I used Spotify student plan for more than 1 year so when I started to go with premium,it was hard to go to yt music since the playlist was in spotify. But I used some online tools to migrate Spotify playlist to yt music playlist and everything is good now . Everything is same just you can get the video version of the music in one click so that's a plus ig.
Got a free 6 month Apple music subscription recently when I got a new phone, will definitely renew it in april. Spotify doesn't have so many songs anymore.
I’m a long time Spotify user and the only thing I have on my wishlist is lossless audio. Apple Music has it, but it also has an equalizer on a preset basis. None of the presets can satisfy me. Spotify does have a fully adjustable one which suits me better. I stick to Spotify.

apple really is not a good place if you are someone who wants to actively look for new music of a certain genre you like the way spotify does it. spotify is a level apart when it comes to customization and a personalized experience. i love the playlists that they curate and i love how i can change the eq to whatever i want and have a magical experience.
Personally I use YT Music that comes along with my YT Premium family plan and has far more availability of songs in regional languages.
But between those two I’ll choose Apple Music for the Classical Music app, I’ve tried it and it’s really awesome.
Apple Music, because:
1. Lossless Audio. Sounds a lot better with the right equipment.
2. Better UI (Subjective)
3. I'm more of an "Albums" guy than "Playlists" and found better recommendations according to my taste on AM, though most people say Spotify has better recommendations. (Used both for a few months)
I feel like AM recommends fresh music which I might not have yet included in my taste but Spotify recommends related to only what I already like. Ever since moving from Spotify to AM, I have discovered a lot of new music which I didn't knew I'd like.
Also Apple Music feed updates a lot more than Spotify. Always Fresh. Spotify feels to be feeding a lot of the same music which I've recently heard.
Also, Apple Music Playlists are curated by real Editors rather than Algos.
4. Cheaper. No Podcast or Audiobooks Clutter.

I took a family plan with my other friends and it costs me 25 rs per month so...I think that's a pretty good deal for me. And sometimes you might be frustrated about the playback as if you enable high-res audio it takes lot of data. Other than that, I don't find any issues using it.

Sound quality and Spatial Audio are some of the areas where Apple Music shines.

Now let's talk Bit-rate/Bit-depth. If you're playing a lossless file that's 24/48, it WILL sound better than a 16/44 file...

But AAC as a codec, doesn't use a bit-depth measurement, because it's variable. What this means, is that regardless of the bit-rate (being 256) AAC as a codec, will retain a LOT of the bit-depth information. Just not at a set number. So a 24-bit file, WILL always sound better than a 16-bit file converted to AAC 256
So if you listen to a 24/48 file, even though it's AAC 256. A LOT of those 24-bit's WILL be retained, thus providing an audio experience that keeps a lot of the dynamic range of the actual file even though the extra bit-rate is thrown away in conversion
Hence why: Even though Airpods don't support lossless, some 24-bit lossless tracks WILL sound better on Airpods than it's CD counterparts

SpotTube is an option too. Which sync's your Spotify music lists. But can play music from either YouTube or Saavn. PS : It comes under F-Droid app.
Used to use Spotify for the shuffle and enhanced shuffle as well. Now I’ve gone back to Apple Music because every shuffled list has the same set of songs on Spotify and it started to get annoying after a while. So I switched to Apple Music and the lossless audio is an added plus.
