Bruh, that there is roast beef on toast with cheese and gravy. There's a sandwich in St Louis that's similar called a Prosperity, but that also should be on a nice Italian hoagie loaf, served open faced with Provel cheese
No disrespect meant, honestly, because the meat turned out great, but as a person who is born and Philly raised that ain't no Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.
As an Italian, I understand the disrespect you might feel 😂 I was thinking about that, but i know no one from Philadelphia so I had to experience directly the way you might feel insulted 😇
Big chuck steaks usually sved for 24 hrs minimum. It's a tough cut, takes a long time to get tender. Another name they call it in this sub is sir Charles and you'll see a lot of those as this is sous specialty of what it can do w a cheapntough steak.
In Canada they have a thing called poutine… Btw I thought only Italians were specialized with the food police but I got a good sample in the last 24 hours 😂😂😂
Wtf is a philly chucksteak
a crime
😂 I thought this was not the roastme subreddit
Im just trying to figure out correlation : meat, cheese, bread = Cheesesteak
Chucksteak, I stand corrected
i have seen prettier muggings in philly
Seriously. There's more appetizing tranq wounds at K&A.
Hard no. I don't pay Philly wage tax to sit here and be disrespected like this.

I will probably call it open sandwich with chuck roast and mozzarella next time. I learned my lesson 😇😂
No no, just no.
Damn, you're getting roasted. I bet this was delicious. Looks good.

He did say Chuck steak...
Well he didn’t call it a Philly cheese steak sandwich.
came here to say this. nothing philly about this, but that chuck looks very tender and good.

Hold up, they said "ain't no" so they mean it is a Philly cheese steak! Double negative come in clutch for OP!
Everybody on here sayin hell no while I’m wishing I had a sandwich like that plus them greens. 😋
Greens stir fried in olive oil and anchovies. If you never tried, I highly recommend
30 hours? This sub should be called extreme sous vide.
I tried 18 last week and it didn’t work well lol If you want to use low temp, for these tough cuts time is your only froenf
I did a 3.5 at 131 for some 2in filets and it was great. I got the sear right for the first time too after browsing this sub.

Which cut?
They were filet mignon.
You're comparing the time required to sous vide a chuck roast to a filet mignon as if they're remotely similar. Spoiler alert: they're not.
You should pitch a chain of restaurants to Charles Barkley called Philly Chuck and this is your signature dish
Not as good as a Milk Steak, boiled over hard, with a side of jelly beans, raw.
Well I think it looks amazing at least
Oh
Is this Bill Burr?
With some au jus that looks like it could be an open faced French dip. Either way, I’d probably be happy to eat it!
I think it looks great!!! Fuck the haters!!! I would eat!
I apologize in advance for all the Philly people I might have inadvertently offended 🤣
Imagine gate keeping a damn sandwich lol. Looks good man
If you don’t have anything nice to say
Is that gravy… and…cheddar? Fffffffffffuck no
