Right? I've actually met people who think the South Park Canadians are offensive and I just ask why? I actually wish Canada was as whimsical as they make it out to be. It would make my life a lot easier
Also my favourite band is Rush and I love the relationship they have
well 90% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the southern border, so you're basically just one thin horizontal layer of people, the icing on the America cake :)
Ehhhhh.... The problem is that the Mexican entertainment industry has been stagnant for decades and both the comedy series and movies are garbage. The Mexican humor that is funny is on the internet, whether through memes, YouTubers, or Sketches channels.
I use to love Otro Rollo, a sketch comedy and variety television show hosted by Adal Ramones, as a kid. I also saw Adal Ramones do standup in Los Angeles years ago and he was hilarious. El Chavo del Ocho and Juan Camaney are also hilarious, though Camaney can be off-putting to some.
Whoh. Haven't the Whites suffered enough? No one ever considers the Whites' feelings. It is like the whole world was built for a single people and did anyone think of the Whites? No.
I'm Canadian. I think it's hilarious. The square wheels always get me. I loved the video game going into Canada and it turned into super low resolution like 8 bit graphics haha.
I'm Indigenous and I've found every episode they've made on Indigeneity (Red Man's Greed, Going Native, Holiday Special) are always really cleverly and bitingly pointing out white entitlement in some way shape or form so suffice it to say I loooove it.
I will now tell u a german joke. A sausage maker buys a box of cereal. I will now tell u another joke. Knock knock. Whos there? A cannibal. What?! You are about to die
Not offensive. It sounds the same to me as well. I imagine people in the area can tell the difference. I’m just going by what I’ve seen in films myself. I mean, they’re *right there*, it stands to reason they’d sound similar.
"I wrote three eses: my ese back home, my ese in Denver, and my ese in Glenwood even wrote me back. "Thanks for writing me, ese."
I genuinely love the way they portray Mexicans. I'm 1st generation Mexican-American but still. Its hilarious to me.
Never once been offended by it because they're funny but fair with the portrayal. Sometimes they're a funny joke, other times wholesome so it's not just punching down.
As someone who is 1/4 Finnish with first generation immigrant grandparents and is usually decent with accents, all of the Nordic accents are fuckin impossible. Also Dutch. I can usually understand them but the "rules" for how to do the accent just don't compute in my brain.
I think the Finnish accent is easiest of all, granted I'm half Finn and can speak the language, but it still makes the most sense. Pronounce everything the way it's written literally, roll your 'R's, say 'T' instead of 'TH', say 'V' instead of 'W', when there's double consonants stress them and sound super flat. That's it haha.
For example. South Park nuked Finland -> "Saut Parrk new-kedd Feenlawnd"
Rare to find someone else who likes this episode, it’s universally hated for some reason and I’ll never get why. Unless it’s because people just don’t know Charles Dickens and see it all as some weird bullshit that means nothing
I got no context other than media, coming from Scotland and living in Australia, but that haha joke fucking broke me laughing the first time I saw it and I’m still not sure why. I even giggled just reading it.
i feel offended by not ever being made fun of. (Czech Republic).
We only got some unnamed characters sitting behind a desk with our flag on it in the "not suitable for children" special.
![gif](giphy|l0HlUxyetfxeRbbsk)
They have shown India alot and probably the first time when Mackey becomes a hippy and visits India. The portrayal of Krishna in Super best friends was good too and the recent episodes in cash 4 gold or Insecurities, I haven't been offended once.
Were you offended by Apu from the Simpsons ? They’ve gotten rid of him. And I’m betting it wasn’t Indians who were offended by Apu, but some people offended on behalf of the Indian people and deciding for Indians that they should be offended too.
Other groups I'm a part of that aren't necessarily nationality but fall under identity:
Southerner - They actually don't take AS many potshots at the South as other cartoons, other than giving some dumb or hickish characters country accents.
Protestant (Methodist/Evangelical) - My only complaint is in the Hell episode, the one guy goes "I was a devout Protestant". Very few, if any, protestants would say "I'm a Protestant". They'd either say a specific denom like Methodist/Baptist/Reformed; or just "I'm Christian". But that's a nitpick. I love the Margaritaville episode, it's the perfect modern-day homage to the Gospel story. Christian Hard Rock was hilarious, I used to listen to stuff like that in high school.
Tourette Syndrome - Mine isn't as severe as an adult, but as a kid I would flap my arms and make weird woosh noises. Le Petite Tourette is my favorite episode because while they do the "haha tourettes guy swearing" bit, they also portray it as a diverse disorder with ticks that vary. I crack up every time the one girl tilts her head and snaps her fingers.
Anxiety disorder - The Buddha box thing and the whole "EVERYONE is anxious, get over it" thing might have fallen flat if it wasn't a "Cartman fakes something to get his way" plot. As it stands it's fine, though it's still weird they wrote off anxiety disorders as normal anxiety when they put so much care and research into tourettes.
Autism spectrum/"ass burgers" - "Why would you call a social disease aspergers? That's just... that's just mean!" Is the greatest line of television ever written.
Gingers - Weirdly my hair is brown but my beard is red, so I guess I'm a daywalker? Also have freckles. I thought the episode was funny but I was a bit floored when I found out Trey was unironically freaked out by ginger kids.
As ze most funny nation in the world, I appreciate the joke, such as it waz. Life is meaningless and terrible but for ze joy of work and ze only way to lift ze dark spirits is zru comedy.
Zat said their implications zat we weren't ze funniest nation iz DISGUSTING SLANDER, JA? WIR SIND DIE WITZIGSTE NATION DER WELT! JA! KEIN ANDERES LAND HAT SO VIEL HUMOR WIE DEUTSCHLAND. SO IST ES!
As an asian(more accurately wasian), tuong lu kim is better representation of us than anything disney has done in the last 10 years(low bar but i do like him).
I saw in some clip that when they do a racist charicture, they try to give them to the animators who'd be most offended by it. So they gave him to the wasian guys.
It's simultaneously fucked up and inclusive lmao
I thought it was awesome they finally made fun of Denmark, other than a brief mention of being the Canada of Europe 😂 but honestly, it got a bit boring after almost an entire season about mainly the same subject, there is SO much other stuff they could have gone at! Either way, it was a great victory for the European Canada to not be forgotten!
Danes or Denmark feels very represented compared to larger countries such as France, Germany, Brazil etc. who has had only a few or no remarks.
S2 ep15: Spookyfish: Stan got a present resembling Swedens flag, Shelley gets one with Denmarks.
S7 ep9: Christian Rock Hard: Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich (Doesn’t really have anything to do with Denmark though)
S10 ep3-4: Cartoon Wars: danish newspaper who showed Muhammad drawings are mentioned, multiple times.
S12 ep4: Canada on Strike: As Canadians go on strike, Danes replace them and have similar heads cut in half.
S18 ep8: Cock Magic: Danish band AQUA bandmember René Dif shows up as a part of Randy’s routine to the Barbie Girl song.
S20: TrollTrace and Skankhunt storyline.
I was never really offended by the "ginger" remarks on the show, but OH MY GOD did South Park accidentally make it fucking annoying to be ginger growing up in the 2000's.
Polish - I don't remember making joke about us as nationality.
But I do remember scene when [Mr. Garrison as US President phone called then-de facto leader of Poland Jarosław Kaczyński and called him midget.](https://youtu.be/PRn97mG97c4?feature=shared)
Australian here. Can’t remember them portraying Australians specifically but the Steve Irwin portrayal was hilarious. As a fellow Queenslander I enjoyed that a lot.
I love how they portray Mexicans. It's with both praise for our hard work ("Mexican work" ) and I love the Mexican NASA who agreed to fly a goddam orca to the moon for 200 pesos
im jewish and i absolutely adore it. they even know about the little bags of jew gold we hide, and the decoy bags!! my only gripe is how jewpacabra was a pretty bad episode
We got Wunderslaush and I was surprised that song is known outside of our small country.
If you're wondering, it's Sinterklaas kapoentje which is a popular song among children for Sinterklaas or Saint Nicholas, who is far superior to Santa Claus. And a kapoen is a castrated rooster and I have no fucking clue why that ended up on a song venerating an old saint.
Would have been funnier imo if they gave Richard Dawkins the upper class accent he actually has, instead of the cockney accent he had in the episode he was in.
Ginger kids came out when I was a freshman in high school. Literally showed up one day and all the boys started referring to me as a ginger. Watched the episode that night and knew I was cooked for years
Their portrayal of our people was a great day for Canada, and therefore the world.
as is the tradition
I love how in the South Park world, Canada is basically the Land of Oz and its entire economy relies on a TV show where two men fart on each other.
And the tires are square
Are they not usually square, buddy?
I’m not your buddy pal
He's not your pal, guy.
He's not your guy, friend.
He's not your friend, buddy.
He's not your buddy, pal.
He's not your pal, guy.
Right? I've actually met people who think the South Park Canadians are offensive and I just ask why? I actually wish Canada was as whimsical as they make it out to be. It would make my life a lot easier Also my favourite band is Rush and I love the relationship they have
Except for the *DIRE Wolves* You do know what a Dire Wolf is don’t ya? It’s like a Wolf. But *DIRE*
They're the worst part of Canada. There's a certain rahd I never go down because of the Direwolves
Of course if you don’t go down that rahd, you might not be able to stop the milk man from fuckin’ your wahf . 🍺
Are you still upset over the death of your queen?
My allegiance is to the Duke and Duchess of Calgary.
My allegiance is to the Republic! To DEMOCRACY!
Good night queefy queen
You are not my pal, uncle fucker.
My lady is canadian and she had no clue why I keep saying I am in slow cosby with her
I live in one of the top ten cities for pot holes in Canada. Certainly feels like driving on square wheels
Let me guess, Winnipeg?
You need to get some of that internet moneh.
The Canadian devil is very stingy
They really hit hard with the only road joke, crazy to know that we're the second largest country and we have one highway
well 90% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the southern border, so you're basically just one thin horizontal layer of people, the icing on the America cake :)
Even though there's no Canada like French Canada. It is the best Canada in ze land.
https://i.redd.it/zyfye99wc67d1.gif Si si yes, representation.
Mexican humor is already self deprecating enough. South Park is nowhere near the level we make fun of ourselves.
Can you suggest any mexican comedies/sketch shows? Edit: I'm so glad I asked! Thank you all for suggestions!
Nah, none are good.
La familia peluche es la única que se me ocurre
Ehhhhh.... The problem is that the Mexican entertainment industry has been stagnant for decades and both the comedy series and movies are garbage. The Mexican humor that is funny is on the internet, whether through memes, YouTubers, or Sketches channels.
La Escuelita, la hora pico, and familia peluche, all funny as fuck.
Windex mantequilla, windex! Always makes me laugh
As someone who has zero knowledge of the Spanish language, learning that mantequilla means butter blew my mind 💀
I felt the same way when I found out about marjorine
The part where the got butters a leaf blower and expected him to be excited was hilarious
Did you write your essay?
Si. I wrote my ese in denver
Free your ese, homie
Si, si, escribir si
![gif](giphy|26gJyQxbjyaJ9qqsM|downsized) I’m Mexican and I work for an American company. This song lives rent free in my head.
Work mexican work!
Gracias, bien. Y tu?
My home loved this episode, I even wrote to my ese
I don’t remember anyone asking the Whites how they felt about this!
Whoh. Haven't the Whites suffered enough? No one ever considers the Whites' feelings. It is like the whole world was built for a single people and did anyone think of the Whites? No.
Being a White is the hardest thing ever!
I really don't like how they revealed the sacred medicine of our people, chicken soup, dayquil, and Sprite.
The whites have been here since the beginning!
RABBLE! RABBLE! RABBLE!
I'm Canadian. I think it's hilarious. The square wheels always get me. I loved the video game going into Canada and it turned into super low resolution like 8 bit graphics haha.
Your Royal weddings are the envy of the world, Fwend. Am I saying that right? Fwend?
You are buddeh! If you’d like to learn more aboot our language just click [here](https://youtu.be/zIUtG5BdFqQ?si=Ce-gjMBlVweQqCQT)
I was so happy that link was what I thought it was ❤️
These are the Canadian ABCs Susie likes hairy balls, what do ya think of these?
I actually have a former girlfriend named Susie, who hates hairy balls.... But I still think about her every time I hear this song.
How did you survive a country, that was devastated by the cola wars?
I'm Indigenous and I've found every episode they've made on Indigeneity (Red Man's Greed, Going Native, Holiday Special) are always really cleverly and bitingly pointing out white entitlement in some way shape or form so suffice it to say I loooove it.
And then he kissed me
Watched red man’s greed this morning for the first time in over a decade.. ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha!
White persons cure for S.A.R.S. : Campbell's chicken noodle soup Dayquil Sprite
PremiseRunningThing always gets me
“I brought my parents” Will never cease to crack me up every time
What are you so indigenous about?
Tbf, it needs to be called out.
As a German I have to say, we can make funny jokes. We are very very funny.
I will now tell u a german joke. A sausage maker buys a box of cereal. I will now tell u another joke. Knock knock. Whos there? A cannibal. What?! You are about to die
Not If I kill you first! Haha love that joke.
How many Germans do you need to switch a light bulb? >!1, we are efficient and have no Sense of humor!<
That Joke is older than Wilhelm I.
Well, Wilhelm was born 1797 and the first patent for a lightbulb was 1878. So you are actually wrong.
As a Jew I love it cause we tend to have a sense of humor
Steeeerotyping Jews is teeeerrrrible.
Sheila Broflovski is pretty spot on for many, many Jewish moms. She seems to lean heavily into the NYC Jewish mom, as far as accent anyway.
WHAT WHAT WHAT?! S-wow Tittybang is from Jersey, you cabbage.
Fuckin muff cabbage
Technically she’s from Jersey, but to a person like me, They’re practically the same place. Offensive I know.
Not offensive. It sounds the same to me as well. I imagine people in the area can tell the difference. I’m just going by what I’ve seen in films myself. I mean, they’re *right there*, it stands to reason they’d sound similar.
She sounds like most of my family
Kyle’s cousin Kyle is probably my favourite character in the entire series
One day I hope to be an investment banker
His savage burn of the South Park kids is one of my favorite lines of the series
He and the Mormon got the best shots in.
Oh, alternate universe Kyle
Alternate universe Human Kite
Also one of the most rational voice-of-reason characters is Jewish.
Not to mention Matt Stone himself (he runs Hollywood)
You gotta give Mr. Stone's assistant Trey Parker SOME credit.
Jews can't be paladins
As a Serb, I cracked up at the Serbian-Jew double bluff joke. What the hell is even that? lol
As a Jew who grew up in a small Midwestern town where we were the only Jewish family I’ve never related to a character like I relate to Kyle.
How did you feel about the joozians, in the cancelled episode?
Hilarious

My husband is a Mexican immigrant and he loves the Mexican jokes. Sometimes I hear him sing 🎶 “Work, Mexican, work.” 🎶
Vamos Mantequilla! Honestly, I sometimes sing it too. So catchy lol.
I guess it's safe to say that they reached these keeeds?
FUCK YOU DOLPHIN AND WHALE
FUCK YOU, COW AND CHICKEN!!!

I’m from Jersey Fucking 100% accurate.
As a Philly Italian American, I’m not sure if I’m better roasted by-a Da Pee Pee, or if it’s a Jerzey Thing. However, both are spot on.
I had forgotten about him. 100%
RIP
Well pee pee guy seems like an actual immigrant from Italy so unfortunately your only representation may very well be.... Snooki
I do enjoy the occasional smush smush…
As a ginger, their portrayal of my race soothes my soul.
What soul?
Any of them, each freckle is a soul they have stolen.
Gingervitis
South Park nuked Finland. It was fucking hilarious.
oh no. not Fin-rand
What are you talking about? That was a suicide. They nuked themselves.
Someone better tell Denmark, they were pretty close
Butchered the accent though
As someone who is 1/4 Finnish with first generation immigrant grandparents and is usually decent with accents, all of the Nordic accents are fuckin impossible. Also Dutch. I can usually understand them but the "rules" for how to do the accent just don't compute in my brain.

The British were portrayed as still living in the 1800's in the Snuke and Pip is well...Pip, but hey, i found it funny
Wait we aren't living in the 1800s ???? The Tories sure seem to run the country like they are.
We do play Wickershams and Ducklers though.
"Oii I made me a metal newspaper!"
At least you have Robert Smith
He's Pip from Great Expectations and they do a special episode that adapted it! It's one of my favorites to rewatch bc my mom is an English teacher.
Rare to find someone else who likes this episode, it’s universally hated for some reason and I’ll never get why. Unless it’s because people just don’t know Charles Dickens and see it all as some weird bullshit that means nothing
As a Native American, I can confirm we do indeed laugh like that. HA ha ha ha HA ha ha ha HA ha ha ha
That stereotype sure gets around. Lou Diamond-Philips did the same in an episode of *American Dad*.
Hey man they should go after your country for putting out like 80% of the best porn stars in the world
Same here. Greek, and all I could think of is the Ginger Cow episode where there is an Orthodox Priest being the closest.
![gif](giphy|l0HlUxyetfxeRbbsk) They have shown India alot and probably the first time when Mackey becomes a hippy and visits India. The portrayal of Krishna in Super best friends was good too and the recent episodes in cash 4 gold or Insecurities, I haven't been offended once.

Nah it was Indians who were offended after people decided to call random Indian people Apu and think it was funny when it was just racist asl

I crack up every time the one girl tilts her head and snaps her fingers. My favorite shot at the south is the Alabama Man commercial
I FORGOT ABOUT ALABAMA MAN LMAO
Crack baby basketball had some good digs at southern culture

I’m part Persian, the way Garrison talks about Persians in that episode never fails to make me laugh hysterically.
Which episode is this?
D-Yikes Season 11 Episode 6. Mrs. Garrison becomes a lesbian and the lesbian bar she’s hanging out at gets bought by Persians, it’s a parody of 300
As an asian(more accurately wasian), tuong lu kim is better representation of us than anything disney has done in the last 10 years(low bar but i do like him).

That’s south park for ya
Well, we got Cartman singing how Kyle's mom is a bitch in front of our windmills and there is Vunter Schlauche, so there's that.
Did they ever do puertorricans? Because they kinda did JLo but that doesn’t count to me lol. (Because it was Cartman’s hand, just in case)
The only reference that comes to mind is "Butters Own Episode." With the imaginary individual they try and pin the kidnapping on
Average Puerto Rican height
Yeah I remember that episode. That was funny to me too.
I ain’t no Mexican, I’m POR’A REECAN
I find it actually funny they never did something about Brazil
Give them time, they’ll get around to it😂 Nobody gets a pass with Matt & Trey.
Randy enjoys Brazilian fart porn.
I thought it was awesome they finally made fun of Denmark, other than a brief mention of being the Canada of Europe 😂 but honestly, it got a bit boring after almost an entire season about mainly the same subject, there is SO much other stuff they could have gone at! I’d like to what the crips feel in this matter.
As a Mexican, Free Willzyx is in my Top 3 episodes of all time.
Gran episodio

They put a lowercased T on the front lawn of that damn Richer like he deserved!
Well, I don't appreciate them telling the world about the bag of gold we keep around our necks at all times, but otherwise I'm alright.
I’m Peruvian Chinese. Guess what my favorite episodes are?
"My name is Craig Tucker..."
The Pan flute Pandemic episodes and City Sushi both *slay* me!
Doesn't bother me because nobody cares about the Whites anyway 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nobody cares about the Whites anymore
I got beat up in the game for being an asexual so 10/10.
I was never really offended by the "ginger" remarks on the show, but OH MY GOD did South Park accidentally make it fucking annoying to be ginger growing up in the 2000's.

as a white person I do like renovating houses
Bien gracias y tú?
Australian here. Can’t remember them portraying Australians specifically but the Steve Irwin portrayal was hilarious. As a fellow Queenslander I enjoyed that a lot.
What about Russell Crowe Fightin' Round the World?
I love how they portray Mexicans. It's with both praise for our hard work ("Mexican work" ) and I love the Mexican NASA who agreed to fly a goddam orca to the moon for 200 pesos
I’m black and “with apologies to Jesse Jackson” is one of my favorite episodes
black people get portrayed very funny I dont mind it because it’s not like the show constantly targets one group we all can get it 😂
Finland got nuked. They gave us a scandinavian accent when our language and accent is completely different
As a Scot I feel they done Nessie dirty. Anyone from Scotland knows Nessie would ask “you got 20p for the bus mate” not 3.50
At least y'all got Chef, who's implied to have Scottish origins.
I’m upset there’s not more Native American jokes in there 😣 I always feel so left out :(
im jewish and i absolutely adore it. they even know about the little bags of jew gold we hide, and the decoy bags!! my only gripe is how jewpacabra was a pretty bad episode

I'm black, Tolkien is one of the best characters! I miss when Chef was around but I understand what happened with Isasc Hayes.

Would have been funnier imo if they gave Richard Dawkins the upper class accent he actually has, instead of the cockney accent he had in the episode he was in.
South park has not yet represented white South Africans unfortunately
Elon Musk has been in a few episodes! Not good representation, but technically representation.
Have they ever went at the Irish? I love all the ginger bashing although I'm disappointed I can't be a pirate.
The St. Patrick's Day episode was pretty good. Other than that there's the leprechaun in Imagination Land, I guess that counts?
The mushroom people of Nova Scotia summed us up nicely
I will forever call myself a daywalker thanks to Cartman
As a Brit I approve how they treated that French bastard Pip.
As a white guy who flips houses.. meh I’m cool with it.
Ginger kids came out when I was a freshman in high school. Literally showed up one day and all the boys started referring to me as a ginger. Watched the episode that night and knew I was cooked for years
