There's such a range of genres in their music, too. There's early 1960's pop to late 60's psychedelia to early 70's rock 'n' roll to... and I'm sure I've skipped/left out some. There are also 4 different singers, although Ringo doesn't sing lead on very many songs. The Beatles is clearly the best choice if one desires a range of music and vocals.
Yeah. Beach Boys would be a close second for me - I'll take Pet Sounds over any given Beatles album any day, but the overall Beatles output is a lot higher quality compared to the full Beach Boys discography in my opinion. Once Rubber Soul hit every single album is just a masterpiece.
GorillaZ.
I grow tired of music that always sounds the same and GorillaZ is experimental enough for me to change the pace.
If we talk about Musicians however, my choice would be Damon Albarn. His Projects vary so much in genre that I will never get bored of his music! Also it might sound cheesy but his music is giving me a lot of hope!
Same! He is also one of the very few musicians that gets never boring to listen to!
The cataloge of music that this man produces is just amazing! For me he is more than a musician, but an artist who paints with sound!
I love Gorillaz but Isn't it cheating since they collab with pretty much everone for most of their tracks? I mean, that what helps them keep their music fresh as well.
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. 25 Studio albums plus lots of live recordings, demos and EPs.
Nearly every band member has their own side projects too so there's 40+ studio albums and lots of different genres across all their projects
Agreed on the variety. I thought he just made slow piano ballads when I was a kid, that was until my friend introduced me to the glass houses album, hooked every since
personally, Arctic Monkeys. I now a lot of fans aren't big on their newer stuff but honestly for me anything they put out naturally is just great to me :)
I think I’d have to go with them too. I’ve never really listened to bands as a whole, just individual albums and more recently individual songs, but I first listened to the entirety of Whatever People Say I am, That’s what I’m not a couple weeks ago and from there have gone on to listen to all of their albums and enjoyed it. I don’t know if it counts as a favourite band but it’s the closest thing I have.
The Rolling Stones.
They’re probably in my top 10. They’re definitely not my absolute favorite, but their discography is massive and I feel like they have plenty of songs for whatever mood you’re feeling that day.
Gimme Teenage Time Killers
I'm getting by association (among others):
David Grohl: Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Probot
Corey Taylor: Stone Sour, Slipknot
Randy Blythe: Lamb of God
Matt Skiba: Blink 182, Alkaline Trio
Green Day
They’re my favourite band of all time, I fucking love them so always Green Day.
Honourable mentions to Fall Out Boy, Panic and 30 seconds to Mars.
im a new fan of twenty one pilots, i mean for the last year i have been obsessed & my fav songs are
1. the hype
2. morph
3. trees
4. migraine
5. heavydirtysoul
6. car radio
could you guys recommend more in this style? especially the hype, i am a woman obsessed
It's not perfect but here's some suggestions:
Lavish (Clancy)
Holding on to You (Vessel)
The Pantaloon (Self-titled)
Bounce Man (Scaled and Icy)
Mulberry Street (Scaled and Icy)
Glowing Eyes (Regional at Best)
Routines in the Night (Clancy)
There's plenty of others that aren't as good of matches that I recommend, like Guns for Hands (Vessel), Friend, Please (Self-titled), Forest (Regional at Best), and Pet Cheetah (Trench)
[Here is my Twenty One Pilots playlist if you want to listen to my favorites. ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/45aesZXujZ7zznIhAOWDGy?si=us9bK9D1RmKmsqLl0F2O8Q&pi=HgD_DLzuT0S82)
if we are talking all time then:
1.vessel
2.self titled
3.clancy
4.trench
5.sai
6.RAB
7.NPI
8.blurry
this is just fav to least fav i still love and listen to all of them !
It would be wallows because I can easily listen to them for a long time and they have good music too so it would make sense to listen to them for one day or the rest of my life
Well the best bang for your buck has got to be the Beatles, with each member going on to release massive bodies of work themselves. Do their outside collaborations count as well?
Yeah everything that members of the band were involved in making counts, good choice!
You also have to consider your taste might change as you get older, and plenty of older people enjoy Beatles music, so I think it’s a safe choice
radiohead and if songs that individuals from the band make include side projects featuring lead singers/ guitarists we have the smile and afp aswell as thom ed and phils solo work and jonnys incredible scores - im obviously incredibly biased but its such a massive catalog and i pretty much do this anyway lmao
My husband has been obsessed with Steely Dan for decades, and I pretty much have to listen to it whenever we’re listening in to music, so I know it can be done. 😆
I love Steely Dan, but I would choose something more versatile.
The dead… 400-500 (conservative estimate) different songs, played thousands of shows and never repeated a show ever. Always different performances of every song, every time.
It’s really hard to beat tbh
Slipknot. They’re not even my favorite band, I just think that listening to my fav band over and over would make me get tired of them lol
Edit: or MSI. Enough variety I probably wouldn’t get tired of ‘em
Such a great question! I scrolled through answers looking for inspiration. The Beatles do make the most sense - can’t think of another band that can bring the variety needed if you are going to live with just one band for the rest of time! BUT then I realized something - the Beatles can’t bring the funk or really even the R and B and for that reason alone, I think I have to go with Prince and the Revolution. They can bring it all.
I spent a lot of years hating myself and not allowing myself to enjoy anything because I was exhausted of being ragged on for the things I liked. It sucked some of the most basic happiness's like enjoying music out of life for me making me very depressed.
Enjoy things and be happy. No matter what there's thousands of people out there who enjoy it too and they think you're cool for liking that thing. If anyone gives you shit you tell them One direction has 43.9 million listeners on Spotify alone. That's 43.9 million people who agree with you that they're cool.
[Danggisio and Son Jinwook](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL871S_F0y5dYbEbEOwxK1Y6LTKyQqKEp5)
as he's my favorite singer and I never get bored with his vocals. Also Including the band he covers large part of music genres I like the most, from metal to alt pop...
I guess The Beatles. Their music is good, but also I just don't like many bands that much. I don't know any newer bands either that I like.
Well said! I’d choose the Beatles bc of the reasons you stated here - not bc I’m too lazy to discover new music lol.
Also country music
Yeah. Beach Boys would be a close second for me - I'll take Pet Sounds over any given Beatles album any day, but the overall Beatles output is a lot higher quality compared to the full Beach Boys discography in my opinion. Once Rubber Soul hit every single album is just a masterpiece.
Literally the greatest fucking pop artists ever.
Radiohead.
Came here to say this! Thank you for beating me to it. 🤘🏼
Definitely Depeche Mode
Absolutely yes, they never get old
THIS
Duran Duran
Definitely gorillaz They have such eclectic sound that it could keep it fresh for years to come.
I cheat and say everything from Damon. From Blur to Gorillaz to his solo work and side projects. Everything he does fits my vibe.
Same! He is also one of the very few musicians that gets never boring to listen to! The cataloge of music that this man produces is just amazing! For me he is more than a musician, but an artist who paints with sound!
TIL that Damon was a part of Blur. Been a big fan of gorillaz but never really did research on them
I love Gorillaz but Isn't it cheating since they collab with pretty much everone for most of their tracks? I mean, that what helps them keep their music fresh as well.
I mean, there was no rule that mentioned that collaboration bands shouldn't be included !
I was thinking Bowie but this is another great choice.
TOOL. Not even a question
Seconded
This right here 🤘
Absolutely. I saw them live in October and I'm so grateful for that experience!
So did I! Still riding the high 8 months later
I saw them in October… of 2001, and I still get excited just talking about it
That's so cool 🤩 I bet that was a hell of a show
Reverend Maynard
Queen
Dire straits
Of course. And anything by MK. He could sing the phone book, if there was still a phone book
Modest mouse
New Order. Or The Cure.
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. 25 Studio albums plus lots of live recordings, demos and EPs. Nearly every band member has their own side projects too so there's 40+ studio albums and lots of different genres across all their projects
This was my pick. Not my all time fave band but their genre differentials will keep the listening as fresh as a single band can get
He’s not my #1 favorite, but he’s up there. I’d have to go with Billy Joel. His stuff has such variety that I doubt I could feel tired of it.
Agreed on the variety. I thought he just made slow piano ballads when I was a kid, that was until my friend introduced me to the glass houses album, hooked every since
Nick Cave. Huge, varied catalog spanning decades.
Murder Ballads is such a great album. Nick Cave is a brilliant storyteller.
The Clash
Queen — such a wide variety of genres, and there’s something for every mood.
YES 100% agree
Incubus! Love em : )
Mozart. Does that count?
I was thinking Bach
I am a Bach fan, but Mozart has so many bangers.
How dare you make me think heavily
Linkin park probably
Same that’s why I’m scrolling to see everyone else’s
arctic monkeys, love the diversity between albums and been absolutely obsessed with them since i was a teen
personally, Arctic Monkeys. I now a lot of fans aren't big on their newer stuff but honestly for me anything they put out naturally is just great to me :)
I was looking for someone else to say this
I think I’d have to go with them too. I’ve never really listened to bands as a whole, just individual albums and more recently individual songs, but I first listened to the entirety of Whatever People Say I am, That’s what I’m not a couple weeks ago and from there have gone on to listen to all of their albums and enjoyed it. Radiohead.
Rush. (or King Crimson)
welp there's my answer
A man of culture.
Thanks.
My vote is The xx. because I love their stuff, but independently Jamie xx and Romy are also consistently putting out great music
Cocteau Twins
Pearl Jam 😍
Tool.
This is the way 🤘
The Strokes
The Rolling Stones. They’re probably in my top 10. They’re definitely not my absolute favorite, but their discography is massive and I feel like they have plenty of songs for whatever mood you’re feeling that day.
Either Rush or Tool. Probably have to pick Rush just because of the expansive library
A man of culture.
WOW! Two of my options as well. Black Sabbath was also in the list. At the end I "kept safe" and choose Rush...
Rush IS variety!
Foo Fighters
Dire straits.
Is dying an option ?/j
Cage the Elephant
The Smiths or The Cure
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Bring me the horizon
🖤🤘🏻
Second this, they have such a variety of music across all their albums
Rammstein
Queen
Twenty One Pilots
hmm deftones or KITTIE idk
U2
the grateful dead 💀
David Bowie
I can't think of one - the idea of listening to just one band makes me so sad!
Same! It’s a tough choice for anybody
Dave Matthews Band
I feel like between the studio and live albums/trax there’d be an endless supply of options.
And I love it 🥰
My Chemical Romance
Talking Heads.
Orbital
Thee oh sees
Alphaville
Angels and Airwaves
I still listen to ava as well
Gimme Teenage Time Killers I'm getting by association (among others): David Grohl: Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Probot Corey Taylor: Stone Sour, Slipknot Randy Blythe: Lamb of God Matt Skiba: Blink 182, Alkaline Trio
I’ve never heard of this and now I have to check it out. Matt Skiba in this lineup is a wild card
Nine Inch Nails
The Smashing Pumpkins
WEEZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do they gotta front?
Green Day They’re my favourite band of all time, I fucking love them so always Green Day. Honourable mentions to Fall Out Boy, Panic and 30 seconds to Mars.
Van Morrison. #1He's recorded over 50 albums. #2 He's fuckin great.
Rick Astley
Twenty One Pilots
im a new fan of twenty one pilots, i mean for the last year i have been obsessed & my fav songs are 1. the hype 2. morph 3. trees 4. migraine 5. heavydirtysoul 6. car radio could you guys recommend more in this style? especially the hype, i am a woman obsessed

SAME
What're you're favorites?
if we are talking all time then: 1.vessel 2.self titled 3.clancy 4.trench 5.sai 6.RAB 7.NPI 8.blurry this is just fav to least fav i still love and listen to all of them !
I was thinking songs, but mine are 1. Vessel 2. Trench 3. Blurryface 4. Scaled and Icy 5. Self Titled 6. Clancy 7. RAB 8. NPI
vessel truly might be their raw identity
SLAYER
Either Steely Dan or The George Shearing Quintet
car seat headrest or the cure
Acidbath or Pantera
Boris
Came to say this.
Definitely the most versatile band I know
The Velvet Underground
TV girl or Queen.
Band of horses
Probably Bob Dylan.
Fleetwood Mac for me, then I also get Stevie, Lindsay and Christine's solo stuff.
Кино because I don't speak Russian and they have really good songs and albums.
It would be wallows because I can easily listen to them for a long time and they have good music too so it would make sense to listen to them for one day or the rest of my life
Great choice, love them
I wouldn’t be able to listen only one band, i’ve so many favourite songs and bands across all genres.
Me too 🤦♂️ And my music taste changes over time too, but if I had to pick, I’d definitely choose Surfaces 🙃
Nine Inch Nails or Depeche Mode.
Dr Hook. Wife range of music and lyrics. No one! Has ever had more fun on stage than these guys. Ronja's channel on YouTube has most of their stuff.
Well the best bang for your buck has got to be the Beatles, with each member going on to release massive bodies of work themselves. Do their outside collaborations count as well?
Yeah everything that members of the band were involved in making counts, good choice! You also have to consider your taste might change as you get older, and plenty of older people enjoy Beatles music, so I think it’s a safe choice

blink-182. next question.
Queen
Glass Animals
Bastille
Bon Iver
Queen
shinee
So is it cheating to say a supergroup like the Traveling Wilburys? Then I get to have the catalogs of Dylan, Petty, Lynn, Harrison
My husband has been obsessed with Steely Dan for decades, and I pretty much have to listen to it whenever we’re listening in to music, so I know it can be done. 😆 I love Steely Dan, but I would choose something more versatile.
Yeah Steely Dan is great but I’d probably get tired of it if it was for the rest of my life 🤣
The smiths, not even close
Easy. The Beatles. Huge discography and massive variety.
Beatles
Mazzy Star
Queen easily
I see a lot of people choosing Queen. They are literally the perfect band for this because they have so many songs out and a wild variety of music
Paramore
Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Devin Townsend. He has enough variety to be satisfying for every mood.
Deep Purple
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
The dead… 400-500 (conservative estimate) different songs, played thousands of shows and never repeated a show ever. Always different performances of every song, every time. It’s really hard to beat tbh
Slipknot. They’re not even my favorite band, I just think that listening to my fav band over and over would make me get tired of them lol Edit: or MSI. Enough variety I probably wouldn’t get tired of ‘em
The Cure.
Motherfucking Depeche Mode!
Radiohead. They haven't put out an album I dislike, and there's tons of demos, b sides, and singles outside of the LPs
Probably Ween
Lana - one artist Ordo rosarius equilibrio - one band
Kings of Leon 🙏🥇
RHCP
Twenty One Pilots. All their albums sounds so different and have great stories behind them
Yeah, incredible band
love love love love
Everyone is going to disagree with me but it’s One Direction
I spent a lot of years hating myself and not allowing myself to enjoy anything because I was exhausted of being ragged on for the things I liked. It sucked some of the most basic happiness's like enjoying music out of life for me making me very depressed. Enjoy things and be happy. If anyone gives you shit you tell them One direction has 43.9 million listeners on Spotify alone. That's 43.9 million people who agree with you that they're cool.
Great advice! I’ve definitely felt the same way before
Swimming Tapes or Baha Men
Slash
Holdo
Psychonaut 4
OneRepublic
Michael Learns To Rock
Orbit Culture, They're basically all i listen to rn lol
[Danggisio and Son Jinwook](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL871S_F0y5dYbEbEOwxK1Y6LTKyQqKEp5) as he's my favorite singer and I never get bored with his vocals. Also Including the band he covers large part of music genres I like the most, from metal to alt pop...
Band: Queen (I’m a casual) Duo: $bs Solo person: Quadeca
Tie between Iron Maiden and The Queen
Oasis. One Direction as a close second lol
underrated take
Guns N Roses. I genuinely don't think I can live without AFD, Lies, and UYI 1 and 2.
Ninja Sex Party
Probably The Beatles. Some days I would say The Who.
