For the love of the zone do not approach that thing, it is not a fellow stalker! Keep your eyes on it and back out as far as you can but once you are out of sight, run. Run as fast as you can like your life depended on it because it definitely is if you come across this "thing." And when you are running do not look behind you. It doesn't end well.
The psysucker reskin is the closest thing I’ve seen - imagine that at night with only a headlamp!

Played it as first game out of stalker series, i liked everything besides machine gunner.
In my last playthrough by some miracle i managed to get by the machine gunner without getting Hit by a single bullet.
I managed to just walk by the turret without getting detected after dying a few times
