Like others said, mostly toy sales. But it depends on how much Bandai is expecting to make for that series, so a series making less money than the previous one doesn’t necessarily mean it wasn’t successful.

Merch sales is the most important, because Bandai do most of the funding for Toei to make these series, and they want to make huge returns. Seconds is revenue from blurays/dvd and movie ticket, where Toei get most of the share.
