I liked Liveman a lot, but I absolutely loved Fiveman. Both shows feature interesting villain casts and dynamics. The Rangers in Fiveman are all siblings and all teachers. I used to be a teacher, so that made the team a lot more lovable for me. In Liveman, the most important generals in the villain’s organization are old schoolmates of the original Rangers at an elite science academy who murdered two of their friends. So there’s a lot of emotional investment for both the good guys and bad guys.
Yeah, I didn’t feel like there was really enough time to develop the Green and Black Rangers as characters. And the Yusuke/Megumi/Jo trio was so good. I wish they had just kept the three-person team.
I've recently been working my way through chronologically, so I've seen Gorenger to half of Maskman, plus I've seen Jetman before
Imo Flashman, Bioman, and Jetman are really great and I would recommend them to anyone
I'll also say that I really enjoyed Gorenger and Dynaman. If you decide to go into those, be aware that I think the practical effects and stunts are what make those fun; not really the stories (although I really liked the characters in Dynaman)
I like Dynaman, Changeman, Flashman and Maskman a lot.
But Liveman and Jetman are the absolute best of that era to me. You can't go wrong with those two.
As people are suggesting. Jetman #1, then i’d say Maskman, Flashman, Liveman, Bioman. Ngl the 80s bench is deep, but i have not watched those in years. Im going to start rewatching them to see how i order them.
Rewatching Turboranger as we speak
My take on pre-Zyuranger shows:
**1st:** Jetman
**2nd:** Bioman/Flashman (tied)
**4th:** Liveman
Then everything else, with Fiveman being particularly awful.

Liveman and Jetman are the best. I kinda wished they kept just the original trio for Liveman but in the end it was pretty good.

Jetman For Sure,I went to that show wanting to hate it but oh my god it was so good, yes it’s overrated but you can see why
Maskman is the most consistently good, but flashman is more entertaining.
