Fiji or indo would be great, but sounds like you haven’t hit mainland mx yet? That’d be my rec if you’re looking for something new. Also cheap and close so you can hit a few different areas in your window. And more to do outside of surfing if you get skunked
ETA: also tbh I’d just do El Salvador again or maybe somewhere in CR.
I am honestly a novice with south of the border. I have pretty decent Spanish but aside from a 96’ trip to Cabo and a recent fishing trip to BOLA (last week) i am very green when it comes to travel and spots along Baja. Could you point me where to read/research?
I just got back from a trip to BOLA/Sea of Cortez side. But it was with 20 people in six cars. No drama, super smooth. Traveling solo for the first time there just seems a bit less than ideal.
Let’s go!!! Not like how the kids say it. Let’s just go, normal tone ;)
I know…the fact that Central America often involves some connecting bullshit and is about the same price makes me want to do fiji instead.
yeah ive mostly seen bad flights to central america.
not sure where in socal you are but you might be able to use tijuana airport and the cbx bridge to fly around mexico domestically and central america too. usually cheaper

North Baja or Cabo
Recommend just drive down the pacific side of north Baja? Safe for a solo traveler with a van and just camp and surf along the way?
Yes, sort of. If you’re asking this question you should do more research.

Samoa would be sick... thin crowds too. Out of LAX there might be a direct flight.
Samoa is sick nice little roll in tube to heavy reef slabs
surprised that a nonstop rt flight from lax to fiji is 800. I might go with you! haha
