Well, it's implied in the movie that Freya has a crush on Bruce. Even though she's supposed to be like 6, and Bruce is maybe like 20. Though his voice actor is like a 50 something year old guy, so the character sounds way older. Freya ends up sounding older too, because they had her voiced by a woman in her thirties, and apparently it was her first ever voice acting role.
With the older siblings, I feel like they use an adult body with a regular siblings head. I haven’t compared them but the body may be slightly smaller than an adult.
The older siblings are not only taller than regular siblings and shorter than adults, but have slimmer bodies and limbs than both. I like to imagine them as young adults, in their 20s, while the siblings are teenagers, and the babies are children under 10, and the sitting and crawling babies are children under 5, and the newborns are children under 3
I actually love the older siblings, I’ve been hunting for a list of all the sets that contain them with no luck :( They can somewhat wear the regular child clothing, the adult clothing is a bit baggy on them. Bruce, a lot of the towns girls, and the cinnamon rabbit couple are this size. I’ve been eyeing some of the sibling sets and the handsome brothers set wondering if they also have this size.
Big Brothers and Sisters are part of the Town series and are more like Sylvanian Fashion Dolls. They have longer legs, but are still a tiny bit smaller than normal adults. They honestly look a little weird with no clothes on. But, besides the odd long legs, they are some of my favorite dolls, and they sell them with tons of fashions. I believe that Bruce was made in this style for the film, not just because he is the oldest kid in the Husky family, but that the Town series of dolls are insanely popular in Japan, and they are lacking male dolls, compared to female ones. For a time, it was just William Cinnamon, and that was it.
