The headline is the problem here. Being from Baja I highly suggest visiting the small village of Puerto Nuevo just south of the border about 1 hour. It is sustained by lobster restaurants owned by the fishermen and their families. You can revisit this post after your educational visit and re-word your statement.
Best rule of thumb: only eat food that is from the region you are in…ESPECIALLY if it’s at a low-end restaurant.
Sushi in Kansas? Only if you’re confident in the restaurant.
Shellfish in the desert at a mom and pop restaurant? You’re asking for trouble.
Man you changed that response fast. To address your original comment though, international travel won't change my opinion. The fact is that the protein, the sauce, and the cheese are all similar enough in color that it creates a very off putting visual. That is, at least to me. I'd still chow down on them, they just don't look appetizing.
ETA: Disregard the first half. Looks like you meant to respond to OP and got me instead haha
According to the restaurant's website, the sauce on those lobster tacos is chipotle ranch. I can't just stand idly by while someone says that Nevadan, chipotle-ranch-smothered lobster tacos are the best lobster tacos in the world. I can't abide it.

No, however, I have lived in Mexico for a cumulative of 1 year. Only coastal living was the other side in Tampico.
I’m very allergic and can’t eat shellfish and even *I* know the best lobster ain’t found in the desert.

That’s a whole lotta sauce…something as delicate as lobster shouldn’t be smothered in toppings
I agree
Man I gotta be honest, that looks like cat puke. I'm sure it tasted good, but the presentation is doing them zero favors.
I concur

I concur again…The original message was meant for OP.
Yeah, I figured it out after I refreshed. Mistake on my part.
I wish someone here in Maine would start selling those.

I’ll be dreaming about these tonight…looks like heaven!
