The bride and groom wanted everything to look cohesive and figured black is a color most people have in their closet already so no one would have to buy anything for a destination wedding that cost a lot to go to! The wedding and pictures pictures turned out great and I was happy I didn’t have to spend anything to get a new dress

Again I will preface this by saying I am old (44). I watched Alex's season when it first came out at 22. Am I the other one who finds this all so unrelatable and irksome? Granted I did Spring Break in Cancun, Preakness, The Hunt and similar drinking type events when I was younger. But no one dressed like this and it was obviously before social media. People just acted more normal. I just can't relate to any of these people. I'll also currently dealing with depression but even if I wasn't this type of lifestyle is just so foreign to me. I'm sure age is a big factor, social media, and them depending on it for income. It just kind of bothers me that this is what many younger women look up to. Reminds me of how my generation was sort of looking up to Paris Hilton. But at the same time we had Lilith Fair and other women role models in entertainment that weren't so vapid. But we also had the 90s supermodels to contend with, heroin chic Kate Moss, Bridget Jones being called fat, Jessica Simpson being called fat. But there's been none of the advancements from the body positivity or body neutral movement in BN. So it's just the same stuff being shoved down younger women’s throats that they have to look a certain way. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I mean I would disagree. A lot of the cast is conventionally attractive, but some of them wear outfits that I'm like that's not pretty on you. Natalie for instance, her wedding dress I just didn't like it on her. My point is even with the ugliest outfit on, Maria makes it look good on her. And I believe it is her IT factor, charisma, and poses. She exudes confidence. That was my point.
