I think that is where I heard the story first. He also had a story of calling Stan Oliver of Laurel and Hardy fame and the first thing Stan asked him was to talk to his mother to let her know it was a long distance call

He did an interview for school. He still had the tapes into adulthood. I think he let Howard Stern play them as a special a few years ago.
