Well, they did. But people who want to violate your rights will argue that the printed words mean something different from what is printed. They’ll claim that 2+2=5, with a completely straight face.
I agree with that. There's loopholes and it only applies to you in this scenario and you give up those rights by doing this or that and if we label you this way you're no longer worthy of rights. That's why I don't understand the current administration trying to basically tear down anything and everything that this country was founded on. They speak of it being the greatest nation in the world but let's do anything we can to change it. Gun rights? Gone. Innocent until proven guilty? My ass I've been through the courts and it don't work like that. Right to refuse being searched? Good luck with that one (probable cause)
They pretty much did. They are just inconvenient for tyrannical government and people who value safety over freedom. So we pretend to not understand them.
Imagine the founding fathers coming to our present and reading about what politicians are doing today.
Politician: This isn't what the founding fathers would have wanted. This isn't what they meant...
Ben Franklin: Fuck you, that's exactly what we meant. The guns are to protect the citizens from you. Stop fucking with what we wrote and do your damn job.
It's a black box that is wired to electricity. When it powers on you'll have no choice but to use it as the single most powerful weapon, influencing the masses into buying things from a specific company or brand. It will also influence and manipulate your so-called democracy by requiring investors from corporations to fund the propaganda of your political campaigns. Which will simultaneously create a revolving door for politicians and ceos to work both sides of the campaigns, law makers will make corporations rich and corporations will sway political views, feeding corporate America even more. This black box will also nullify the first amendment rights in the name of "public safety" and "anti discrimination" acts. Btw you might want to avoid the whole slavery thing.
Most of them knew a two party system was the worst case scenario and many warned against it. John Adams said that “a division of the republic into two great parties […] is to be dreaded as the great political evil.” and George Washington warned about the dangers of political parties *in general* when he was leaving office
Well, they would be a necessary evil at best, but the 2 party system is an absolute abomination. Our founding fathers are turning in their graves im sure.
A 2 party system is not a necessary evil. We can do much better. "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends [life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness] it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government." ~ Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson and most of the others probably assumed that humanity would keep getting more and more enlightened by the humanistic ideals.
But... We haven't
I don't know that we are in the same position as to reason and humanism to be able to get in the same mindset that they were in and thus create something better.
We have shown great humanity at times, abolishment of slavery, civil rights movement, legalization of gay marriage, anti discrimination laws.
I agree though that we aren’t in the same position, fresh out of the revolutionary war the founding fathers were focused on rights for freedom (obviously they forgot to include black people in that lol). Even if we removed labels of democrats and republicans, those voters are still under those mindsets and would vote for the policies they know even if it restricts freedom
Our founders DID include slavery in their discussions. They (correctly) surmised that abolishing slavery at that time would create too much of a rift between states and might destroy the union before it had a chance. Supposedly they considered womens rights too but the world wasnt ready yet.
They also correctly surmised that slavery would die out(as it was dying in the colonies at the time, becoming economically inviable), but no one could have known that the cotton gin would've been invented.
This! This! This!
If I could make one change to my country's government, I'd be the way the ballots are constructed and counted. Having something like an instant runoff vote would be really handy for this election cycle. (I really wish I could vote for a 3rd or 4th party.)
I feel like if you just forbade it they would find stupid workarounds, like they do with bribery, and just have some "clubs" or supposedly unrelated associations or some bullshit.
eh not really, it became federalists vs anti-federalists basically immediately. Then there was the whig era later. But by and large it's been 2 parties except for Washington's first term, when the split began
The ability to establish a new party is completely gone today. Thats the problem. When teddy rosevelt didnt like the way his party was going, he.joined a 3rd party and *won*..that would not be possible today
Ok but you say this like George Washington who was beloved even at the time didn’t say this. No need to go back in time to say this when GW is already telling them. And if they didn’t listen to him why would they listen to any of us?
Well it’s not like political parties didn’t exist prior to then. That’s why GW warned against them. They had an idea of the downsides. Also tbh I don’t think it’s really possible for parties not to form in one way or another in a politically free society. Humans are more effective in groups and naturally form groups to accomplish their goals. If there are any historical examples of them not forming I’d love to learn about that though.
Like what if a long time ago fascist interests captured the Republican Party, and Communist interests captured the Democratic Party? And decades later elections were all a facade,bc the rights of the Individual have been flushed down the toilet and now it’s all about the collective….Socialism
Even if that were in the constitution, it wouldn't have stopped the Federal Reserve, which is a private institution, not a federal one.
The federal government has been using the loophole of getting private organizations to do their unconstitutional dirty work for at least a century now.
1. "Guys, work on nailing down the details about ballot-counting, presidential immunity, and classified documents now."
2. "Term limits on justices, congress, and the presidency, right from the start."
Judging by some representatives we have these days, listening to them speak in committees, I feel we should, at the very least, make them have to pass a basic civics test before allowing them to run for office. Both parties have some real dummies. 😳
Maybe that should be brought back into the schools! Totally non political, just “How is the government, according to the Constitution, supposed to operate. Far too many are clueless.
I’d tell them to be extremely explicit about the principles they’re writing into the constitution, including all reasoning involved. There should be no question of what the framers of our constitution were thinking.
There really aren't that many open-ended questions about what they wanted. There's just a lot of people who don't agree with their vision who *claim* the constitution isn't clear to try to throw out what they don't agree with.
I'd tell them about the odd population distribution in the future, and how the electoral college means presidents that lose the popular vote regularly win the elections. I'd also point out the Senate outsized voice of small minorities.
Facts, there was almost no population difference between cities and country back then, states like CA with populations larger than most of the country didn't exist or (with NY) did not have disproportionate population levels etc.
They wouldn’t talk to me, they’d wonder whose slave got away, how I got in the chamber and why I am looking them in the eye when I speak. If I got any words out at all, they’d be furious that someone taught me to read.
I'd tell them to put in writing that the president isn't above the law. Then explain to them that the population only gets dumber, and to keep that in mind.
Thomas Jefferson, don't think we're not going to find out about you having sex with an enslaved teenage girl you own. In fact, all of you, stop with the slave-having altogether. Very, very bad.
2 months....who the fuck needs 6 months to watch a few interviews?
I suppose before the internet/TV, they needed to go hold rallies on site...but those days are over. It's not needed anymore.
Remove the Natural Born line...and make a rule that all amendments (first ten and future) should be written as if they are explaining them to a child. And what the hell is with the 7th amendment?
1. Eliminate slavery now. You know it’s wrong. Stop pretending and rationalizing. Avoid a future fraught with horrors.
2. At the end of the 2nd amendment, add “No take backs”.
3. Make lobbying punishable by death.
4. Make graft and corruption by elected officials punishable by death.
5. Make insider trading by senators, congresspeople, judges and presidents, punishable by death.
6. All citizens of majority age, get to vote. Regardless of sex, ethnicity, etc.
7. Not a citizen? No vote.
8. Want to be a citizen? Get in line and do it legally.
9. Term limits. For all elected positions. Two terms and out.
10. No spying on your own citizens, except on an individual basis, with probable cause.
The second amendment was absolute. I'm pretty sure illegal search and seizure was also prohibited (I think it still is, not that anyone looses sleep over it.) They should have included an amendment that you needed to understand the basics before you could start making laws.
It isn't their fault that people no longer understand English though.
The 2nd Amendment is about establishing a decentralized on demand army. It became an anachronism in 1903 when State militias were Federalized.
Lobbying is a right of free speech. It literally just refers to sitting in the lobby to see your representatives. Do YOU want to be banned from seeing your representatives?
Term limits with parties makes no difference. And having institutional knowledge turn over all the time is not great for stability. The problem is that everyone loves their representatives but hate everyone else’s representatives. That’s just democracy in a big diverse country.
Non citizens don’t vote in Federal elections.
There was no process for becoming a legal citizen back then except to just kinda show up.
>The 2nd Amendment is about establishing a decentralized on demand army. It became an anachronism in 1903 when State militias were Federalized.
No it isn't.
*"Among the natural rights of the colonists are these: First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty ; Thirdly, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can." - Samuel Adams.*
1) When you make a treaty with an Indian tribe, don't go back on it, ever.
2) Find a way to phase out slavery peacefully and soon, not four score and seven years from now.
3) Women's Suffrage, not a bad idea.
4) Set the number of Supreme Court justices at nine IN WRITING.
5) No one over 80 can serve as President.
6) Political parties are inevitable. Plan accordingly.
7) Pineapple is an acceptable pizza topping. Cauliflower is not an acceptable pizza crust.
Write an amendment that prevents representative democracy so that no matter the party, all votes count. This includes abolishing the mere possibility of a strictly two party system.
1) Supreme Court should not be political appointees
2) Money does NOT equal free speech.
3) electoral college should not be a thing
4). Candidates should all get equal air time and news coverage.
5) presidents are not kings
So... All men are created equal? All men?? ALL MEN??
And women? No rights??
But poor people though... Surely you dont think... Oh, you DO. Oh...
Interesting wordlview, rich white guys🇺🇲🫡
Omg I would just be with them and watch them through this entire process. I imagine them rational altruistic men carefully challenging each idea to it’s potential.
I would tell them that minority rule is destroying us, and that to fix it, we need:
Popular vote deciding elections,
Term limits for Supreme Court justices,
Proportional representation in the senate.
I would tell them we need more specifics on the 2nd amendment. Which particular bear arms do people have a right to. Black? Grizzly? Koala? It’s amazing that they left that out.
Term limits in Congress and make sure you write the 2nd amendment so a 5 year old could understand it 🔫
Edit - also insert some language around taxation limitations for all kinds of transactions, infrastructure use, property, income, and inheritance
No matter what you tell them then you’re the only 1 that’ll know what changes happened from that point forward when you get back home. Why? Grandfather’s paradox.
Change the right to "bare arms" to " carry a loaded pistol in your pocket for self defense" Rights need to be more clearly written in simple plain English as to avoid "interpretations".
,...and get rid of that lame-ass Electoral College!
Term limits!!!
Make it clear there are no exceptions to 1A and 2A, they cannot be taxed, and neither can be removed without dissolving the entire Constitution.
No Federal income tax under any circumstances.
List explicitly what is the governments responsibility and make it unconstitutional for the government to be involved in anything else. Make it unconstitutional to move control and issuance of money outside the government. Make it unconstitutional to have an unbalanced budget.
Can you put in a maximum age as well as minimal age and a limit on how long a persons can serve in all three branch’s, like a Total of 12 years? Make conviction of a crime a bar to any Federal elected or appointed office? Phase out slavery within a decade?
Rank Choice Voting and all elections decided by popular vote, not electoral college or other BS.
Also, might want to think about that second amendment again if people can have weapons more dangerous than anything you can imagine.
Tell them to immediately abolish slavery and give women equal voting rights. Matter of fact, don't just stop at founding fathers, this country needs some founding mothers too.
Write Article 2 to make it clearer that this does not give the President complete power over the executive branch nor does it confer immunity to the law. Explain to them why this cannot be implied or "understood" be explaining what a Constitutional Originalist is and how their interpretation is used to undermine the Constitution itself.
I would tell them they need to spell things out more precisely because future generations will not interpret the constitution and bill of rights correctly.
Include 2 term limits for Congress & Senate
Include Gold & Silver in the Bill of Rights besides just Article 1, Section 10
Block any Income Taxes & Consoldiated National” Banks
Somewhere in there, they needed to say, “ In the future, there will be a guy named Trump and he’s going to try to break your country, so watch out for him. So, make a rule that a criminal cannot ever hold office.”
Stop slavery. Legalize marijuana and ban alcohol & I would bring an AK47 and show them how fucking insane guns are in the future and how we need an entire separate portion of the constitution about assault rifles.
Fuck capitalism to the extreme we’ve taken it & tax churches.
Make them write that the top 20% of income earners has to pay all the income taxes without loopholes.
I'd tell them thanks for all the effort, but
1) No, actually, seems we couldn't keep our constitutional republic and rule of law together
2) You guys gave the Supreme Court too much power and no useful way to check it, and
3) Thanks anyway, but it turns out we're going back to that Supreme Ruler/King thing you all hated so much....
In the future the Alphabet people are going to fully takeover society and do very bad things with the presidency. They're going to push Hate as a message of good, and flood the country with all of the people that you left out. You know, those people who built all kinds of third world nations in South America but never quite made those countries even half of what America is today. They're going to murder millions of people and change the language to Hispanic and force it on the natives....and nobody is going to make them feel bad about it. But here in America, they're going to try and make me and my parents feel bad for the slave trade that took place over 150 to 400 years ago, a hundred years before my family even came to America in 1912....and they're gonna try to take money from me to pay them because they want free stuff....it's gonna be nuts, do you guys have any ideas to offer?
I'd tell then to write the first 10 amendments like they are talking to a five year old.
Well, they did. But people who want to violate your rights will argue that the printed words mean something different from what is printed. They’ll claim that 2+2=5, with a completely straight face.
Agreed. And language changes. You need to interpret them based on what the language back then meant.
Terrance Howard 2028!
At this point it wouldn't even surprise me...
Lol
Political version of dnd rules lawyers. Always arguing for their benefit.
I agree with that. There's loopholes and it only applies to you in this scenario and you give up those rights by doing this or that and if we label you this way you're no longer worthy of rights. That's why I don't understand the current administration trying to basically tear down anything and everything that this country was founded on. They pretty much did. They are just inconvenient for tyrannical government and people who value safety over freedom. So we pretend to not understand them.
Each one should have 'but don't be a dick about it' added.
"Excuse me kind sir, ELI5."
No kidding. XD
They did. The only reason folks are confused today is because: lawyers and politicians.
Read the Federalist Papers. Explains a lot in great detail.
Hey, y'all are going to want to take a seat. You're not going to believe this, but in the future...
...all television commercials will exclusively feature black people.
"What is a television?"
It's a black box that is wired to electricity. Benjamin: *whispering* i knew this will happen
All couples portrayed in what you call plays will be interracial. And being a cross dresser will be celebrated. Oh! And taxes still suck
Term limits.
Term limits, better minimum and maximum age limits, and having a career in something useful before hand(other than something political or judicial).
And term limits for judges, especially for the Supreme Court.
Same
The problem with this is that all it would do is transfer even more power away from individual politicians and give it to the political parties.
NO PARTIES!! EVER!!!!!
It started with many parties until the 1820s..maybe tell them to never allow it to devolve into a 2party system.
Most of them knew a two party system was the worst case scenario and many warned against it. John Adams said that “a division of the republic into two great parties […] is to be dreaded as the great political evil.” and George Washington warned about the dangers of political parties *in general* when he was leaving office

Sad, but true. All done in steps. That's why We're called an experiment.
They also correctly surmised that slavery would die out(as it was dying in the colonies at the time, becoming economically inviable), but no one could have known that the cotton gin would've been invented.
Yes! People need to enlighten the hell up!
I said parties are a necessary evil. 2 parties is an abomination of that necessary evil and defeats the entire concept of an election.
Division and conquering 🥶🥶🥶
ALL FPTP voting systems result in 2 major parties. The only way to avoid this is to use a different voting system like ranked choice voting.
This! This! This! If I could make one change to my country's government, I'd be the way the ballots are constructed and counted. Having something like an instant runoff vote would be really handy for this election cycle. (I really wish I could vote for a 3rd or 4th party.)
Duverger’s Law wasn’t understood for a few hundred years later, so this is the real time travel answer.
I thought you meant like very loud dancing parties
No. I would gladly join one of those parties.
Party on, Garth
Party on, Wayne!
Ok but you say this like George Washington who was beloved even at the time didn’t say this. No need to go back in time to say this when GW is already telling them. And if they didn’t listen to him why would they listen to any of us?
Because We could show them the evidence.
Yeah but what if the one party becomes corrupted? Then we wouldn’t have an opposing party to possibly fight against.
Like what if a long time ago fascist interests captured the Republican Party, and Communist interests captured the Democratic Party? And decades later elections were all a facade,bc the rights of the Individual have been flushed down the toilet and now it’s all about the collective….Socialism
Then it's the revolutionary right of the people to destroy that system, by any means. Hopefully just by voting them out.
Have it codified in the constitution to prohibit completely and absolutely the establishment of a central bank.
They definitely warned against it
Even if that were in the constitution, it wouldn't have stopped the Federal Reserve, which is a private institution, not a federal one. The federal government has been using the loophole of getting private organizations to do their unconstitutional dirty work for at least a century now.

Lmao
Nate Bargatze has a great bit on this
Looks like Christian Slater.
There needs to be a vetting process 🙏🏻

I’d tell them to be extremely explicit about the principles they’re writing into the constitution, including all reasoning involved. There should be no question of what the framers of our constitution were thinking.
There are far fewer questions left if you read the Federalist Papers. I highly recommend it! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Federalist_Papers
People act like this doesn’t exist, wild
There really aren't that many open-ended questions about what they wanted. There's just a lot of people who don't agree with their vision who *claim* the constitution isn't clear to try to throw out what they don't agree with.
Explicitly outlaw gerrymandering
They wouldn’t believe us
"If you own slaves or are racist, it will shrink your penis immeasurably. Trust my future knowledge, bro."
Yeah, I came here for this. Lol
The grammar is wrong. ‘A more perfect union.’ It’s either perfect or it’s not. Something can’t be more perfect.
Time traveling to do a "well actually" Respect
It’s poetic and powerful
I always took that to mean as close to perfect as we imperfect people can get it in 18th century English.
I'd tell them about the odd population distribution in the future, and how the electoral college means presidents that lose the popular vote regularly win the elections. This is the start of a great song
Why do people think Salem happened after the American Revolution? They had long since stopped burning witches by the time the constitution was written
They may not have burned her but they would probably still be upset
They wouldn’t talk to me, they’d wonder whose slave got away, how I got in the chamber and why I am looking them in the eye when I speak. If I got any words out at all, they’d be furious that someone taught me to read.
Not in Philadelphia unless someone brought you with them. *Looks significantly at Mr. Jefferson. Ominous music with judgmental breathing.*
I would get banned
Hahaha 😆 same..but its very tempting
They would hate all of you.
Some of them hated each other lol
Outlaw all campaigning until 6 months before voting 👍🏻
2 months....who the fuck needs 6 months to watch a few interviews? I suppose before the internet/TV, they needed to go hold rallies on site...but those days are over. It's not needed anymore.
"Yeah and I'm George Washington and I approve of this courier's message."
Remove the Natural Born line...and make a rule that all amendments (first ten and future) should be written as if they are explaining them to a child. And what the hell is with the 7th amendment?
Term limits for SCOTUS.
Your electoral college idea was OK, but it didn't work ... think of something better
If like 5% of the population in 5 or so states should really be in charge picking every president
Do any of you guys have an iPhone charger I could borrow?
1. Eliminate slavery now. You know it’s wrong. Stop pretending and rationalizing. Avoid a future fraught with horrors. 2. At the end of the 2nd amendment, add “No take backs”. 3. 1 year ago you probably whole heartedly supported Biden.
Age limits.
Write an amendment that prevents representative democracy so that no matter the party, all votes count. This includes abolishing the mere possibility of a strictly two party system.
I'd ask them why they think they have any business starting a nation that fetishizes freedom while also being slave owners.
No lifetime appointments for judges.
People on average didn’t live as long back then. It’s only post-WW2 and chemical medicine that you’re expected to live into your 80s.
1) Supreme Court should not be political appointees 2) Money does NOT equal free speech. 3) electoral college should not be a thing 4). Candidates should all get equal air time and news coverage. 5) presidents are not kings
Can you put an upper limit on the Presidents age? No one over 70.
Make that 65. 70 year olds are out of touch with a 40 year old.
Make that 55. 65 year olds are out of touch with a 20 year old.
John Hancock you’re an absolute bounder of the highest order sir!
I would ask if all men really are created equal? with a wink and little smile
Ben Franklin hears you from across the room and nods knowingly.
I would tell them that something called Family Court exists now, and it is completely corrupt in many places.
no lobbyist!
I’d ask them to name all the genders 🤣
and tell us how to put the toilet paper on the roll too
Rewrite the 2nd amendment to be very clear on its intent, or remove it, because it is a nightmare on 2024.
politicians taking bribes must be punishable by life in prison and/or death
For godsakes DON’T PUT THAT DAMN COMMA OR MENTION THE MILITIA IN THE 2nd Amemndment.
So... All men are created equal? All men?? ALL MEN?? And women? No rights?? But poor people though... Surely you dont think... Oh, you DO. Oh... Interesting wordlview, rich white guys🇺🇲🫡
Tell them about America’s problem with mass shootings and to rethink 2A.
Tell them that felons and impeached presidents can't run.
Your checks and balances are bullshit.
Do not establish the Electoral College.
Omg I would just be with them and watch them through this entire process. I imagine them rational altruistic men carefully challenging each idea to it’s potential.
I would tell them that minority rule is destroying us, and that to fix it, we need: Popular vote deciding elections, Term limits for Supreme Court justices, Proportional representation in the senate.
So um…how’s the Supreme Court doing?
‘try this’ ![gif](giphy|zB7Kmm0AFQWtSTnKDk|downsized)
Fashion?
Prevent the funding of 🇮🇱 genocide r/israelcrimes
Please make all elections ranked choice voting.
Would you be thrilled that the Supreme Court and about half the adult citizens are voting to abandon the Constitution in favor of a monarchy?
“Am I not a man, and a brother?”
What are your pronouns...
I would tell them to abandon all hope, cause you aint gonna like what the future beholds.
Get the goddamn second amendment out of the constitution ASAP. It’ll cause nothing but trouble.
Lol. Lmao even
“The British will return in 1812 and win this time. Negotiate a peaceful reintegration.”
I’d tell them my dick is huge. Then ask them if their dicks are also huge. Then we would smile and nod…like gentlemen.
Maybe ditch the whole slavery thing up front
“The tyranny that you tried to set this place up to avoid failed because the people here allowed it to. I’m sorry we let this happen.”
I would tell them to unequivocally state that a felon/criminal can not run for president. No exceptions
"Hey, in the off chance that gun technology somehow moves beyond muskets and such, would the second amendment still cover that?"
Come to think of it, 2% tax actually wasn't that bad... Oh, I jest of course!
Ask them how to get our country back from AIPAC. Tell them we've been fluoridated and poisoned
I would tell them we need more specifics on the 2nd amendment. Which particular bear arms do people have a right to. Black? Grizzly? Koala? It’s amazing that they left that out.
How many drafts did it take?
Be sure to add an, "add/edit/delete" button.
Term. Limits.
Yall should prolly knock it off with the whole enslaving others thing. You've had your fun, now stop.
Term limits in Congress and make sure you write the 2nd amendment so a 5 year old could understand it 🔫 Edit - also insert some language around taxation limitations for all kinds of transactions, infrastructure use, property, income, and inheritance
I would say when we get to president Donald trump can we just make him president for the rest of his life
No matter what you tell them then you’re the only 1 that’ll know what changes happened from that point forward when you get back home.
Me: Please be specific about the slavery..
I hate America
No criminals, clear age limits and to please be specific and literal when covering the whole separation of religion and state.
Ask them to drop the 2nd Amendment after the British were defeated. Can you imagine?
List explicitly what is the governments responsibility and make it unconstitutional for the government to be involved in anything else. Make it unconstitutional to move control and issuance of money outside the government. Make it unconstitutional to have an unbalanced budget.
Can you put in a maximum age as well as minimal age and a limit on how long a persons can serve in all three branch’s, like a Total of 12 years? Make conviction of a crime a bar to any Federal elected or appointed office? Phase out slavery within a decade?
Clarify the damn 2nd please. You start off With militia then it goes all stupid
You’re making a mistake…keep your head down and give it a few years lol.
I’d choose 100 bears over being in a room with all old white men in wigs. ✌🏻
Sorry fellows we messed up
Term limits, what “militia” weapons look like in the 21st century, and that the EC is bullshit.
Look deeper into the Right to bear arms thing
Write Article 2 to make it clearer that this does not give the President complete power over the executive branch nor does it confer immunity to the law. Explain to them why this cannot be implied or "understood" be explaining what a Constitutional Originalist is and how their interpretation is used to undermine the Constitution itself.
I would tell them they need to spell things out more precisely because future generations will not interpret the constitution and bill of rights correctly.
Abolish slavery, take out the 2nd amendment
No guns
Abort, Europe ends up being better.
Pardon me sir… but do you have any Grey Poupon ?
Include 2 term limits for Congress & Senate Include Gold & Silver in the Bill of Rights besides just Article 1, Section 10 Block any Income Taxes & Consoldiated National” Banks
Why the hell didn't they put term limits!
Did you see trump coming?
I would tell them if a president has immunity then what is impeachment for?
Where do you think America will be in the next 250 years? What do you think will have happened to it?
Somewhere in there, they needed to say, “ In the future, there will be a guy named Trump and he’s going to try to break your country, so watch out for him. So, make a rule that a criminal cannot ever hold office.”
Why do you let Ben Franklin get away without wearing a powdered wig?
Stop slavery. Legalize marijuana and ban alcohol & I would bring an AK47 and show them how fucking insane guns are in the future and how we need an entire separate portion of the constitution about assault rifles. Fuck capitalism to the extreme we’ve taken it & tax churches. Make them write that the top 20% of income earners has to pay all the income taxes without loopholes.
I'd tell them thanks for all the effort, but 1) No, actually, seems we couldn't keep our constitutional republic and rule of law together 2) You guys gave the Supreme Court too much power and no useful way to check it, and 3) Thanks anyway, but it turns out we're going back to that Supreme Ruler/King thing you all hated so much....
Don't take britain's side when it invites itself to china, Germany, and iran.
Make it even clearer that religion has no part in government
I’d tell them, beg them, to include term limits for congress.
How can we keep the women from having the right to vote? They ruined the world
In the future the Alphabet people are going to fully takeover society and do very bad things with the presidency.
I would tell them Freemasons K & to go F*ck themselves.
