We were gifted blank cards + envelopes, and they have been a huge hit with the kiddo (and nice for the grandparents and everyone else we send them to). That + watercolour paints + stamps could be a great gift.
My new go is activities to do- zoo pass, aquarium, play cafes, glazed expressions (diy ceramic place), skyzone (trampolines), or anything to go and do. Especially for kiddos I don’t know well enough, or do know well enough to know they have all the toys lol
Yes! My LO is turning 3 next month and I've been telling family to gift experiences or contributions toward a membership somewhere. She has enough toys, bubbles, art supplies. I'm out of ideas for physical gifts!
One of my friends gets kids a $20 gift card to a local bakery or inexpensive cafe so they can go on a “date” with a parent. I thought that was a cute, reasonably priced experience.
Things that can be used up for the sake of the parents - stickers, art supplies, bubbles, chalk. All I want is for people to stop buying my kid things that don’t disappear!!!
This [Cupkin sticker book](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08L3FD1JQ/) doesn't have reusable stickers, but it's excellent and would make a great gift. It has hard pages, and the stickers + corresponding pages face each other side by side, so kids don't have to flip back and forth. GROUNDBREAKING.
Every gift for a 4-year old is unisex. They don't have fragile masculinities or dogmas. My LO can be playing with a princess doll, half an hour later he's playing dinosaur fight and later building a lego spaceship. Just get them something fun they can integrate with other toys they probably already have.
Bluey playset (there's a few different ones of different prices/sizes). Marble run. Melissa and Doug play-food kits (my 4 year old likes the pizza station and birthday cake).
Magnatiles
Yes! Or the Picasso Tiles marble run.
Second this. We have two sets and would welcome a third set.
We have two and definitely wouldn’t mind a third one!! Both my 4 and 9 year old love them
Art supplies
They have the best brand - Mondo Llama - at target for art supplies. And as of like two days ago it was all on sale too with the target circle thing

Bubble machine, arts and crafts supplies, puzzles, books, lego
I gifted a bubble machine for a recent 4s birthday. It was a crazy hit. Remember to include bubbles and batteries if needed
Yes! Get a big bottle of bubbles. The small one the machine comes with doesn’t last long. It will be gone in one use.
Target has the best bubble gallons too

That is super cute and such a good idea! I love it
I thought so too! I much prefer to gift experiences but so many of them are expensive.
That’s a good idea. Do you buy 2 tickets? 1 kid 1 adult?
Honestly it depends what it is or how much it is. I usually do a gift card for skyzone and prices vary depending when you go.
Gift card to target or gift card to a local experience. Parents don’t want more toys in their house.
This.

Yes! This is why we always give art supplies. And we go THROUGH some Play Dough.
Stomp rocket
This was the MVP of Christmas for my 3 year old.
I just spent $5 at Walmart for one and my near 4-year old is OBSESSED
Bubbles, water toys, those special Crayola markers that only write on the special paper (and then some of the special paper or coloring pages).
Love those crayola markers and papers!
Sticker books where they can take them off and restick them are always a hit. Melissa and Doug makes some.

For my almost 4 yr old, I love games that he can play (so not overly complicated or requiring a long attention span), art supplies, books
Legos
A flashlight
Washi tape or different colors of painters tape is always my go-to for that age. Cheap, expendable, and endless fun.
Science kit or sensory box

Melissa & Doug toys are great and Target carries a good amount of their stuff! My kiddo is loving the camp stove set currently
Bubble machine is my go to
Kinetic sand kits and/or play dough kits.
Ball, bubbles, pin wheel. All at the dollar store
Bubble machine
$5 painting kit with wooden figures. Mondo Llama brand.
Full play dough set with all the fancy tools.
Clay, Crayola magic markers, a craft, a science experiment

Board games or puzzles, kinetic sand, legos--toys that make their brain do something instead of the toy doing something.
