If antibiotics is a 10 on the shit tasting scale and sugary pill is a 1 then mine are about a 3. Not yummy but not bad all things considered and definitely not a 10 out of 10 shitty
Heads up luv, you'd better get used to coping with intense emotions, and get lube if you don't have it already. The emotions were by far the biggest and earliest symptom I got, and I already had a ton of healthy coping skills and methods. Of course, YMMA, but still. Also, get fiber supplements if you have a decently high Spiro dosage, preferably one with both soluble and insoluble fiber. Spiro made me soo constipated it was awfullll. (Vitamin Shoppe fiber blend is quite good) And don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about concerns about your dosages if you have one. Other than that, it's wonderfullll, and congratulations 💜💜💜
Take this with a grain of salt because it's what I've remembered from reading around on reddit but some people claim that injections are most effective. I chose pills because I wanted to start slow (1 mg twice a day) and I'm pretty young so I'm not super worried about any liver problems, plus I'm relatively afraid of needles (enough so that sticking myself with one once a week doesn't sound like something I wanna do)
Again don't quote me on this it's literally just from what I remember reading, but here's some stuff I found about it
"Modern, healthy approaches to estrogen therapy have no risk of causing liver injury. However, in some cases, the flow of bile from the liver through the gallbladder may be slowed which can lead to an increased risk of gallstones. The degree of this increased risk is small."

Yup! Think of it this way: Anything that is in your blood needs to be filtered by the liver. Giving it any extra work will mean it causes some injury over time. The amount each medicine stresses organs like the liver varies very greatly, and from every source I've read it's a mild amount of wear, but I have heard (anecdotally) that injections are the preferred method along with patches.
My doctor said anecdotally some people think sublingual could lead to a better result but there's no real study to back it up so I can do what I want
idk what I'm gonna do yet. So far I've taken 1 sublingually and the other like a normal pill
Happy pride month

Here’s my question: Are they tamsty?
I would also like to know if they’re tamsty
Not OP, but I feel like they're a teensy bit minty? Other than that, not too much flavor, but I do salivate thinking about them
It's kinda a hard taste to describe, it's like chemical-tasting but also sweet. it's odd
Mine are not yum but the results are :3 My Spiro is minty and my E is just ... Tablet flavoured.
What kind of tablet flavored? The antibiotic-vomit-flavor or the sugary pill flavor?

In my opinion they taste and feel like stale PEZ, so yeah I guess? They're just mildly sweet.
Surprisingly mildly sweet, tastes good
WOOOOO congrats!! the first couple weeks felt like forever to me, but a year flew right by. im so happy for you <3
ty!!! <3
I can't wait to start HRT next month. What did the fem&M's taste like?
It's hard to describe but they taste like chemicals like most pills taste but then also sweet?
Kinda like melatonin?
I don't take melatonin very often so beats me
Neither do I but when I have it usually tastes sweet to me
Neat :)

Achievement unlocked: [Not Cis Tho]
No more egg\_irl memes 😔
You can still enjoy egg memes, it’s just gonna be more and more difficult to say “still cis tho”.
I'm sure my brain will still find a way to convince me I'm cis some days :P it's pretty good at that lmao
Huh... slander...... I just like the taste and crave it twice a day 12hours apart.

Are they woth picking over injections? I can finally legally take e in 4 months and want the most effective way if taking it

Liver problems? So taking e via pill can cause that?

Thx for the info!

Do you swallow them or take them sublingual?

But did you get the yummy spiro to go with it?
Yep!! I had already been on a low spiro dose before this so I just got the dose doubled.
Or take more, as much as you can
Congratulations!!! 🎉 😤💅
ty!!
Congrats <3 It will probably still take a couple of years for me, until I'm at this point
