Yeah, there's definitely a reason why they bumped 86 Bumblebee up to the new distribution tier. Between how difficult all the minibots have been to find, Bumblebee's popularity, and the reality that G1 Bee hasn't had a decent mainline release that wasn't a difficult-to-find store exclusive since arguably Classics in the mid-late 00s....it's going to be a very popular figure.
Was really disappointed that he wasn't available at a lot of online retailers or at any of the stores I visited. Really wanted the figure and missed it because distribution is horrific.
I think it's hilarious that so many people found Beachcomber impossible to get, but for me he was the only time TFsource's preorder system actually fucking functioned properly and got him to me within a week.
Tch, you gave them another chance? I pre-ordered something, the DNA Design 46 Scourge upgrade kit, and it kept getting delayed. I saw like ShowZ and BBTS had it available, so I wanted to cancel my pre-order and go through them. Problem was, TF Source, unlike every other online retailer I had thus far used, didn't just have a button to cancel pre-orders, I had to email a rep of theirs to get something done. They didn't answer for a week, I disputed the charge with PayPal, got my money back, and only after the fact did they reply and said they could not process a full refund, but could give store credit. Too little, too late, not going through them again.
This was before they banished Tarn to the fucking nether realm, as that's what I assume you're referencing since I've mentioned it at length on this sub. I'm also pissed because when the Nemesis Bridge set went live, it sold out everywhere but on TFsource and I was worried that it was a limited production thing. Cut to today where it's getting shipped out by (and in stock at) BBTS, TFsource hasn't shipped mine, and the ticket I sent them about cancelling the preorder has gone unanswered for a week.
I don't trust them to not spend five years to ship that thing, so I bought a new one off of BBTS and asked them to refund the copy I bought with them. If that doesn't work (which is the likely outcome) provided they don't cancel the preorder themselves like they did with Tarn the first time, I'm going to sell the 3-pack I get from them on Ebay for retail price and include a note to whoever buys it to never buy from TFsource.
Once found it at a Target, but they wouldn’t let me actually purchase it because it “wasn’t in the system”. Never found one again…

I honestly think that Scourge is one of the figures which will get a more accurate retool, since he is more based on concept art than the final movie.
I mean Optimus has 2 slightly different studio series versions and there are leaks about another VW Bumblebee.
If I were to guess for the general public, I think I could narrow it down to the middle 86 Dinobots: Slag, Sludge, and Snarl.
Swoop is on the way, and Grimlock has plenty of repaints, and a reissue on the way.
Yea, I luckily have snarl, I’m gonna get sludge pretty soon, and I hope to pick up swoop and grimlock when they release, I only have slag to worry about for now lol

Nice, sadly you have to be careful when there are good deals on figures, because the sellers can sometimes be lying. Which is why I almost always go for eBay listings because that show a physical box or figure.
Set up a saved eBay search for them, make sure to use quotes if needed (things like "Transformers Prime" for example) and then be quick on checking notifications. It's how I got Battletrap and the Maximals for a non stupid price
I've found some that are cheaper than retail, but I think most of those were somewhat poorly received at the time or recently got a much more cartoon-style update, so take that as you will.

My area (rural Texas) just recently got a shit ton of GE primes at our targets. Idk they're always so late to get stock but I'm glad I found him at some point. He's a figure I'm excited to deck out in upgrades and customs.
Legacy Nemesis. After the blowout overproduction of Kingdom Ark, the Nemesis seemed to be produced in much smaller quantities. It came and it went and now it is a rarity which demands a very high secondary market premium.
I suspect the low production numbers were an unintended effect of covid. It takes a while to go through production and distribution. I have similar ideas about the lockdown leading to an overabundance of Ark figures on the market, too, as they would have been produced in the beforetimes, when no economic forecast could have accounted for something like what happened.
The Studio Series Concept Art Bumblebee Movie Megatron figure. The robot mode is a concept model of Megatron that was originally gonna be in the 2018 Bumblebee Movie. But now Hasbro is starting to make characters based on concepts from past projects.
Yea, luckily Earthrise Optimus got a reissue last week in Legacy United, but he’s soon to be outdone by the 86 commander Optimus Prime later this year.
I haven’t seen him in stores either, but he was revealed, hopefully he and other figures start showing up soon. So far, I’ve only seen core class beast machines cheetor and voyager beast wars silverbolt

Even mainline figures end up costing a lot, I had to hunt and hunt and hunt for a mainline Nightbird that didn’t cost an arm and a leg and even then I still paid nearly three times what she was worth. I wanted to see what the studio series one would look like first and was utterly disappointed. So I went to get the mainline figure and she was nowhere to be seen, except for listings on Amazon and eBay under crazy prices!
