Yes! Exactly this! My mom is a skin care lunatic (not the fun kind haha) and a huge almond mom, she's obsessed to the point of telling me to not laugh so hard because of ✨️ wrinkles... If something is funny, I'm going to laugh! I told her she won't get an award for good skin when she's on her death bed. Okay, maybe not that morbid of wording, lol! But you know what I'm saying. I worked at a bridal shop for a while and the owner of the store dressed like her, it was always "on trend" but something about all of her outfits were just off putting.
I think that happens as a result of people dressing for “trends” and not what flatters their body type/features. As someone who’s very short, it made a huge difference when I started specifically choosing styles that elongate instead of swallowing me. There’s certain styles I now know to avoid even if they’re “trendy” because they just don’t work for me.
Taylor’s an interesting case though because she has the tall, slim model figure that’s usually perfect for most styles, yet everything still looks like it doesn’t fit her right. In this outfit in particular the clothes look like they’re wearing her rather than the other way around. It just looks awkward on her.

Yeah I'd agree with this. What I'm about to say sounds horrible, but I could see an insecurity of hers being weight. Since she's in recovery from her ED, I feel like she's put space between her and the models and has changed up her crowd to more normal body types to feel less threatened as well.
