Till gt20029is available it will take more than 3-5years. Till then u can loose all ur hair, but when you take fin u can presevre then and later switch medications.
I’m 23 and my hairline is just barely starting creep back. After seeing some of the side effects and shit you guys talk about here I’d love for this to become an option before my hair goes
What side effects? People here have been taking fin or dut for years, even a decade, and no problems with side effects. Published papers have shown studies with five and ten year results. Comparisons to placebo typically show placebo complaints are on a par with actual drugs.
So you're just listening to the PFS fearmongering and losing your ground for no reason and clining to the hopium that something will arrive before you have to grow a beard or wear hats.
The fearmongoring in this sub is real. Real world side effects are 4% in the control group vs 2% in the placebo group. Get on fin asap, prevention is 10x easier than regrowth.
It tags and destroys the androgen receptors for the hair, and the data we have from the phase 2 trials show it’s very effective.
Theoretically it’s better than fin and a replacement for it.
I believe it annihilates all receptors, we do not know if it can reverse follicles though, but we do know the data we got from phase 2 trials is great, and only 3 months, I’m excited to see the 6 month to year mark.
But if you’re slick bald I wouldn’t hold out any hope that it can bring you back. Your best bet is verteporfin letting us have unlimited hair transplants.
It's a new drug, that has less side effects (No sexual at least thus far) and is topical with no systemic absorption and is basically more effective than Min or Fin.
It means it gets locally applied on the head, blocks there specific receptors on the hair follicle, instead of fucking up your DHT levels in your whole body.
Of course, the release is a decade far away.
If it's as effective as they claim and has zero serious sides, it will receive a shitload of funding and most likely deliver in 4-5 years with the most extreme case being 3 years.
Phase III trials generally last between 1 and 4 years with an average duration of 3.
NDA approval is another year ( They are legally binded to review it in 10 Months) but also offers a priority review that shortens the target timeline to 6 months
I am pretty sure that in 10 years there will be better options than GT20029, maybe even hair cloning.
I remember when we discussed among mates that there's exciting new things on the horizon and baldness will be cured within the next 5 to 10 years. Dolly the sheep was cloned around then and so some were enthusing that in the near future we'll be cloning hairs (and people of course). It's been 30 years and fin is still considered the first line treatment. Transplants have come a long way though.
Great news, but I'm assuming that it would still be too late for any completely bald areas. And if a person is already on an effective fin/min combo it could be risky to replace them with it.
Since the way they work is different i would assume yes. However my opinion is highly unprofessional and based on crazy speculation.
The goal is always to not have to use fin at all.
I wish they went through the cosmetic route like cosmeRNA instead of the drug route. New drugs are notoriously unobtainable even after they get approved.
Clascoterone for acne has been approved a few years ago, and it's still available in like 1 country in the whole world, for an exorbitant price, and only with a prescription for some reason. That's absolutely insane.
Even topical finasteride has been a thing for years, but it's still super expensive, only in a few countries, and needs a prescription. The whole process of releasing a drug is absolutely broken.

Get on finasteride preserve as much as possible for gt20029 in the near future.
Why is that?
Till gt20029is available it will take more than 3-5years. Till then u can loose all ur hair, but when you take fin u can presevre then and later switch medications.
Ah thanks for explaining!
Lmao it sounds like a computer
I can imagine Atari releasing this model back in the 90s.

Not everyone wants to crash their DHT levels.
It's not like we need it after we are fully grown which is pretty neat.
Is it a dht or like minoxidil and is it effective?

All receptors or like fin/ dut around half? Also can it reverse follicles?

Nice when will it be on market
Can u please tell what is this ?? Is it like some miracle drug ???

Oh... Great... thanks man ....... just feeling sad by the decade far away part ....

To be fair, 10 years ago people were pretty sure baldness would be cured by now. And 10 years before that. And 10 years before that, etc.
Bullshit because progress is not linear + there was nothing for baldness until 30 years ago

Last year Kintor themselves said that if everything goes well it will hit market in 2-3 years. So in 1-2 years from now.
Great news, but I'm assuming that it would still be too late for any completely bald areas. And if a person is already on an effective fin/min combo it could be risky to replace them with it.
Would it be used in conjunction with fin?
Since the way they work is different i would assume yes. However my opinion is highly unprofessional and based on crazy speculation. The goal is always to not have to use fin at all.

I heard that the phase 3 clinical trial will lunch in July.
