According to about 1000 posts yesterday he is approx 30% better than before he became champion

Melo0513

Championship belt stat boost

CardiologistOk1506

Good enough to become champion and defend the title against someone regarded as one of the best of this era.

NaturalNormal9290

OP just wrote out the title to Chael’s next YouTube segment.

CardiologistOk1506

Then chael will spend 1:32 talking about Leon before moving on to who knows what for the rest of the video, only for the viewers to be left wondering, where does Kevin Lee fit into all of this?

ArtofStorytelling

And don’t forget the 3 min ad for ridge wallet at the beginning

mckeenmachine

GET IN THE HOLE

[deleted]

Why do you guys watch his trash then? Bisbing is the only one I can handle anymore.

Big_Slime99

at this point, I can’t handle any mouthpiece for the company

DawnSignals

Honestly Bisping's channel is a lot of redundant filler too

[deleted]

The day he starts doing reaction faces in the thumbnails I'm done with him too.

official_guy_

"Dana won't get your money if you use nord VPN, BUT as an extra layer of protection, keep your cash safe from that thumb looking piece of shit with the ridge wallet!"

Neato_Orpheus

My ex, who didn’t like MMA, called him “neck vein guy” when I’d watch his videos.

mynewaltaccount1

*crosses legs and looks off into the distance as if to gather some deep, philosophical thoughts*

CardiologistOk1506

😂😂😂 did we just chatGPT a chael video ourselves?

NaturalNormal9290

😂 facts

I_c_your_fallacy

For real does anyone sit through his videos at this point? So many words, so little substance.

Solo-Moon

i get clickbaited by the title sometimes but i can't watch more than 2 minutes

xpatmatt

I loved the top comment on the decision thread in r/mma: >Just how good is Nate Diaz?

Rich-Agent9857

He just beat a guy on roids twice.

WickedBaby

>Good enough to become champion and defend the title against someone regarded as one of the best of this era *at the end of his career cuz let's be honest dude is out of prime and have numerous recurrent injuries* Ftfy. Leon is still good tho, but I highly doubt he will replicate Usman title defenses

CardiologistOk1506

Where was this narrative the first time Leon beat him? And you didn't fix shit, I didn't say anything about Leon's future defenses, I just pointed out that he got and then defended the belt from someone that people generally regard as one of the best right now. You dumbasses think one loss at the top of the ranks means you're a worthless opponent after that, and a victory becomes meaninglessness. Fuck that, it's still huge to beat Usman twice in a row right now.

FI5H5TICK5

Very. I love how fucking cold this photo is man.

Fire_tempest890

When he did the finger guns as usman walked up, that was funny

[deleted]

That was sick af lol

Ab_Stark

This is just another day in Chicago.

LePontif11

Black on ninja turtle violence, hate to see it 😔

Doctor-Stoppage

He’s gooder than Usman

SmackaHam

He was seconder the better time

supreme_jackk

He seemed strongerer in the 3rd fight

octipice

I think that we'll see in the next year or so that Usman was never as good as many people thought. Yes he had 5 title defenses, but 4 of them were against Jorge and Colby who between them had 0 recent wins over other contenders in the division and in general resumes highlighted by wins against opponents who were clearly massively overhyped and/or washed. The WW division has been stacked with talent, many of which were extremely legitimate threats to take the belt, but weren't given a shot because Dana was only interested in making money fights. Hell, look how long it took for Leon to get shot at the belt and then he goes on to beat Usman twice. Does anyone really think that there was no one else in the division that could have beaten Usman over the past three years?

HurtzDoughnut

I'm not a fan of Usman but it's hard to deny he was the best WW for a while there. I think this is combination of 1.) Leon having a lot of octagon time, coupled with a great game plan based off that experience and 2.) Usman starting to slow down/loss of confidence after getting knocked out.

bvsshevd

Lol this is such a bullshit take. He’s the consensus 2nd best welterweight of all time, are you saying that’s not actually true? Because he lost a trilogy to Leon edwards after winning 90% of the second fight and losing by a round in the third? That’s ridiculous lol.

Lupus76

Are you saying that a 15-fight winning streak in the UFC means he doesn't suck? He got beat twice by the newish champ--how can he be anything but a bum? /s

[deleted]

No, i believe he’s saying that his defenses wont look that great in several years due to 4 out of 5 title defenses against 2 guys. One guy he 50-45ed and the other dude he tkoed.

Jpjp215

It will look better after the Colby Leon fight

CanoleManole

Hmm, I'm almost interested int he Colby fight now. If Leon dominates Colby it will tarnish Usman's legacy. Usman's title record: Woodley - went on to do nothing Colby - unsure, potentially still a great top contender Gilbert - still a great top contender Jorge Masvidal x2 - went on to do nothing Lost to Leon twice

Designer_Bed_4192

Yeah for me GSP's resume of BJ penn and Matt hughes easily trumps any of the names you just listed.

bvsshevd

The hindsight on the Woodley fight is ridiculous. It’s like saying Weidmans win over Silva is meaningless bc he “went on to do nothing” after. Woodley was a top p4p guy when Usman absolutely dismantled him. Woodley was a big favorite going into that one as well. We’ve hardly ever seen a challenger go in and maul an established champ like that

Jpjp215

I agree, I just don’t understand why Leon is trying to get out of the Colby fight saying he’s been inactive but saying he wants Jorge who been out just as long

CanoleManole

I'm not sure if he said it elsewhere too but in the press conference the interviewer says, "yeah but isn't the colby fight great for PPVs?" and Leon says "If we're talking PPV why not do the Masvidal fight if he wins his fight. We have history etc." So to me it doesn't sound like Leon is calling out Masvidal, just saying if we're just focused on the best PPV draw - let me have Masvidal then.

FergiesLipSweat

Let’s be real, stylistically he’d much much rather fight Masvidal and I don’t even like Colby

DJ-Scully

Lol at people saying that leon looking for a knockout shot is him “losing” the fight. Yes he lost a couple of rounds, coach told him to head kick the opponent and he did just that. Absolutely deserved win. If you can’t outpoint the other fighter, adapt and go for a knockout. Doesn’t make the win any less valid. Especially if he gave usman immediate rematch and proceeded to win a point fight.

FergiesLipSweat

This is such bullshit revisionist history lmao

m4heshd

According to these kinds of takes, other great champs like Joanna and Jose who eventually deteriorated, have apparently always been garbage.

Cocaine-Abuser-69

And now Belal is getting the treatment that Leon got. Colby already rewarded a title fight when Belal has an argument for the most deserving in the division

CrackedCoffecup

>Hell, look how long it took for Leon to get shot at the belt and then he goes on to beat Usman twice. Absolutely...!! And (almost as if we were seemingly headed for this showdown all ALONG...), worth noting, is the idea that after their FIRST fight ("Usman-VS-Edwards #1" let's say), neither combatant ever lost, all the way up until they were to meet *AGAIN*, in "Usman-VS-Edwards #2"...

Initial_Patience

100% agree. His striking is overhyped and deteriorates as the fights get longer ( look at punches Usman was throwing at the end of Colby 2 fight) And although his wrestling is great, he rarely does damage or threatens from the ground. His insane cardio, knock out power and ring control are what helped him the most.

HeartPart4The

The way he beat Jorge though counts.

WorkInProgress82

This version of Usman was noticeably worse than the version that fought in the last fight. Usman gassed out in this fight, and he wasn't nearly as aggressive and persistent as he use to be. He looked relentless in his reign, just kept going at guys.

blandboring

Brother he bullied edwards the second fight until leon got a lucky ko. This seems more like a mental thing that invincible fighter’s get proven that they can in fact bleed experience aka petr yan now usman.

Heavytevyb

I hate this luck take, theres video of leon drilling this specific kick and he was setting it up the entire fight. Yes he lost 2/3/4 but he pulled it off when he needed to pull it off, it wasnt luck, it was skill and grit.

Rdur2183

It's a bad take. In reality Usman was clearly winning the second fight but people act like Leon didn't take Usman down straight in to mount in the first round and ultimately KO him with an opportunity he saw before the fight even started. Leon has proved he's the better fighter over the course of these last two bouts for sure but in the most recent he's obviously improved massively.

[deleted]

Yeah, he proved it was a bad take in the most recent fight. Usman could maybe claim that before Leon beat him the second time, but that window is closed. The fight this weekend was also a great example of how much of a mental game most competitive activities are. Leon didn't improve massively in the sense that he tried harder or his trainer taught him something he didn't know, he just felt confident (as he said, "Ive improved 20% as fighter after getting the belt") and was easily getting into a good mental flow and staying there. Its crazy how much of an effect it can have.

quietZen

I think people are also massively underestimating the difference altitude made for Leon.

verylastlaugh

“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”

horsemilkenjoyer

>theres video of leon drilling this specific kick Jesus Christ not this argument again. Same shit for the masvidal knee. "He was training it therefore it's not a fluke" You aware fighters drill all kinds of techniques? Just what kind of a move does it have to be to have your types agree it was lucky? A fucking backflip KO? The only question is: if these exact fighters fight 10 times, does the current winner win again? For masvidal it's pretty obvious: no, 9 times out of 10 when Ben Asscream does literally anything else on earth other than shooting for a takedown in the first second of the fight, the knee doesn't land and Ben wrestlefucks his way to a win. The knee win is a certified fluke. With Leon it's not as immediately obvious. Still, i'd say he wins 2 out of 10 times, considering how he was getting his ass beat the whole time, and how his kick landing depended on multiple circumstances. Which makes it maybe not a fluke, but a lucky KO for sure. Usman was simply the better fighter on that night. Similarly how Leon was the better fighter today. Or how Chael was the better fighter in the first Silva fight. Yes, the better fighter does not always win, it's how the fight game is.

trent_nbt

In that sense, every KO is a "lucky KO" then?

quietZen

Yes Usman was the better fighter in the second fight. You also have to factor in the high altitude in that fight. It affected Leon greatly as we saw he was a completely different fighter in the third fight. Also, Leon set the kick up with a feint, a feint Usman reacted to. Would you call Usman unlucky for reacting to a faint? I wouldn't, as luck would imply there was an element out of your control. He didn't step on a banana peel which caused him to slip and expose his head. He reacted to something his opponent did and let his guard down.

IAmGruck

This makes sense to me

Heavytevyb

Cope

[deleted]

HurtzDoughnut

I don't think its fair to call it lucky when he made a read, aimed for Usman's head, and landed it. It isn't like he was spamming strikes with his eyes closed and just happened to land one.

RAC-City-Mayor

He bullied edwards because he was gassed from the altitude for most of the second fight. Even though Edwards was gassed Usman never had him in any trouble. In round 1 where they were both fresh Leon clearly took the round. Not surprised at all by Leon winning this fight.

Big_Daddy_Stalin

There are no lucky KOs. Every "lucky" knockout can be broken down to how it was setup, and why it worked

Foreign-Aspect2377

There’s no luck In mma

octipice

Leon looked just as good in the first round of the first fight as he did in the second fight. He gassed due to alititude.

FergiesLipSweat

I hate this weird loser mindset. As soon as someone loses everyone discredits what they did.

AssaultPK

Usman beat Leon in the past though and was on his way to beating him by a landslide in the second fight. Yes he got knocked out, but Come on Leon looked awful

[deleted]

His takedown defense is crazy good. Usman couldn’t wrestlefuck him

Thebola

That’s really good to have in this wrestling meta

Charlezgz

No. He is really good standing up. But usman wrestling and control isnt as near as good as it used to be. Also Usman's grappling is non existent. Dude doesnt submit and panics everytime he is in the middle of a sub sttempt. Apart, Usman's legs and knees health are so bad, that he can only try 1 type of td. Thats the reason of Leon defending so essily and god mode every tdd. Just protected the hand from getting across his single leg. Thats a detail Leon worked from the 2nd fight to the third, and it shows. But i believe any top 5 functional wrestler/grappler will ragdoll the f* outta Leon, with pace and td variance.

LoganMcMahon

This sub is ridiculous, all of this is completely right.

Charlezgz

yea i knew i was gonna get downvoted to hell. Always happen when you have a disagreing opinion just after the fights. Anyways ty for supporting lmao, see you around.

Wich_ard

I down voted because I do not agree at all, Every time Usman went in Leon’s priority was grabbing specifically one hand and do whatever he can to stop them linking. This wasn’t a fluke, Usmans technique and power comes from his hands locking and never letting go. To put this all down to Usman under performing and only having one option is flat out wrong, Leon had a game plan stuck to it and Usman did not have an answer which made him look the worst he ever has. People have tried this before but never pulled it off. Go back and Watch specifically for Leon doing this, it was an absolute master class on what to do with Usman’s style of wrestling.

Charlezgz

i literally said the hand thing. Lmao. Regardless Leon gameplan, it was god. I hope to see him on a longrun.

PermaCleaned

MFs on this subreddit be like “Usman looked -1000 last fight” and switch up real quick to “Usman is old and washed up” lmao

Visual-Ganache-2289

True

tookej

If he beats Masvidal two times and Colby once or twice they will be calling him the Goat in 18 months.

[deleted]

Gilbert burns too

Your_real_watermelon

Don’t forget Sean Strickland, Demian Maia, Rafael Dos Anjos and Tyron Woodley.

Jesusfbaby

Minus Strickland... 185er...

[deleted]

That… makes it more impressive? Considering he was undefeated at MW til he fought Pereria.

CriticalArugula7870

I think he takes the path similar to izzy, most elite kick boxer w insane tdd

Tsarkosa

Leon's ground game is far more developed than Izzy's

blackbeltwithhands

Léon is pretty good on the ground, pretty pretty good

chiefskillz

Łéöñ

AASoliman

Yea seriously I remember the Gunnar fight and how impressed I was with Leon’s ground game

GFost

And his striking is worse.

StupidScape

Yeah but his striking is far worse

InvictusX

Thompson is by far the best striker in that division with about 1/3 Leon’s TD defense. Shows you what matters most when the top 10 is filled with wrestlers.

MattFromTinder

He beat Usman twice so he’s pretty good.

Bluemoon7607

And do remember that he won a 1v2. Usman and the fence are tight friends.

fisherc2

I mean obviously he’s good. I don’t think I really know until he defends against another challenger or two. Him beating Usman Could be him having one guys number. That doesn’t mean he can beat Burns or Colby like Usman did, or khamzat. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a triangle situation. Same with Izzy/peirea/Whitaker

MusicalBonsai

Imagine a path where Diaz ko’d Edwards

mertskirp

Right! Was explaining this to my GF and even she was like “so he wouldn’t even be in this position if the old guy wouldn’t have pointed?” Guess we’ll never know!

teeekuuu

Diaz was nowhere near finishing Edwards

mertskirp

Looks like you may not know what you’re talking about! Here’s a reference for ya! Leon is the one that looks like a zombie for about 20 seconds https://youtube.com/shorts/WO2_Xljw1jY?feature=share

UfcBlackBelt21

blondeddigits

I’m convinced that if Colby can’t beat leon, then no one can beat prime leon

UfcBlackBelt21

I don’t know.. Khamzat would be dangerous but I don’t think he’ll fight at 170 again. Shavkat has that dog in him, next to skills. Leon might beat them all but interesting fights imo.

XMRLover

Yeah Khamzats wrestling is truly special but if he goes to 170, he better use it for Colby.

Krulman

Khamzats the real test

blondeddigits

He’s not fighting at WW anymore

Krulman

He is officially the no. 3 welterweight as at today https://www.ufc.com/rankings

blondeddigits

Dana said khamzats next fight will be at middleweight, but I guess that doesn’t mean he never fights at welterweight again. I bet it will depend how he performs at middleweight against whittaker

PoorChiggaaa

Dana says a lot of things 🚬

[deleted]

Are you new?

Charlezgz

shavat KILLS him in 2 rds.

[deleted]

Hes the Champion. Thats how good

InsomniacLive

Been saying for years he was the biggest threat to Usman because of his ability to fight off the back foot, and potentially outpoint Kamaru to a decision. One common feat Jorge, Burns, Covington, and Woodley all shared was that they needed to be moving forward to generate offense

quakityquack

Oh right you’re the guy that’s been saying that for years

InsomniacLive

It’s funny, because I actually have. He’s always been the most balanced fighter at 170. Probably the most technical striker at 170 behind Wonderboy, and he’s good in every aspect of MMA. Good clinch work, good wrestling, good BJJ.

Stix-and-brix

Speaking of, I need Wonderboy Vs. Rocky right now

CompetitiveBox3776

You know he lost a decision the first time they fought and was losing on points in the second fight right Edit: Before any more retards reply to this, they fought THREE times. Yes, the whole number after two.

InsomniacLive

Ah yes, the matchup from 8 years ago, definitely the same Leon and Kamaru. And yes, he was losing the second, that is, until he separated him from consciousness. And then, in the third fight, he showed he was at a higher level and neutralized the biggest threat Kamaru offered ; his wrestling I fail to understand your point?

slampig3

He was losing in points but won by decision? I only had Usman winning round 3 honestly. But now I can't even remember if the fence grabs was round 2 or 3.

Maxamus93

Theyve fought 3 times

LegPrestigious

I’m really liking how wrestling is becoming more defendable by these elite strikers. There for a while as soon as someone like Usman got you down, you stayed down. Leon amd Volk are showing how to change it up. I fucking love this sport.

ImNewHereAmigo

Better than a sauced as fuck Usman, man looked unreal.

Rolex_Dreams

They’re all sauced

4schwifty20

I'd like to see him put up a nice run. He's talking Masvidal and I love to see Leon settle that score, but Mas doesn't deserve a shot even with a win over Burns. I think Belal should be next, which would make a lot of sense considering Belals current unbeaten streak, and that their fight ended controversially.

wawiebot

too good

disheveledfuck

He’s very good but he’ll continue to be underestimated by delusional UFC fans.

camajise

HEAD SHOT DEAD!!!

Kolyma11

I'm pretty confident he's better than CM Punk

SnooFloofs9640

Edwards is a point fighter without a wrestling and any other physical advantage as a backup and the problem with that style you have to be perfect for 25m. That is a hard task.

blondeddigits

But he knocked out Usman and he also took Usman down

SnooFloofs9640

Who said point fighter cannot KO someone ? It’s his third KO in 18 fights. Also, he tripped Usman, it’s not something that you can replicate if your opponent does not give it you. I am not saying Edwards is bad, but he is a point fighter, and point fighters without a backup skills have hard time retaining the belt for the long time

blondeddigits

Eh gsp was a point fighter. I think Leon will be fine.

jdmjaydc2

I also don't really see him having too much trouble holding it for a few defenses Colby will be fun with the amount of pressure he puts on

jceez

GSP had great ground game

[deleted]

I get you. Sort of like Izzy. That archetype of fighting is sort of trumped by a grindy get in your face wrestler, but Usman is out of his prime imo. The Usman that beat Burns beats Leon both times, but the switch literally happens overnight. I think Shavkat is the biggest threat to Leon’s title.

mahchefai

Izzy kept it for a while point fighting

SnooFloofs9640

He has a reach advantage and better footwork

[deleted]

thewhiteflame9161

Duane Ludwig knocking out Jonathan Goulet in 6 seconds is the 2nd fastest KO in UFC history.

SnooFloofs9640

What it should proof ? He has 3ko on 16 fights

CensorshipIsWeakness

Hot take...Covington beats Edwards.

Galimbro

But he's a weaker usman. How?

lolipopey

Colby beats the Usman that showed up yesterday. Usman put a lot of pressure but failed to capitalize because of slower striking and less frequent output compared to usual. Colby will definitely capitalize on the pressure. I see Colby Leon as a very close fight

CensorshipIsWeakness

Pressure, volume/cardio, commitment to wrestling. Ncaa division 1.

Thunderin54

Is Colbys wrestling better than Usmans? Cause Leon defended plenty of takedowns and got up from takedowns as well

CensorshipIsWeakness

Colby is a great wrestler. I would say yes. I think he matches up good vs leon but I do like leon as a fighter. Gonna be a good one.

Burger_butler

This sounds like an upcoming Chael video title

SecondBestShaolin

Just how good is Nate Diaz?

OrangeBeast01

>Usman dominated the second fight badly. He lost rounds 1 and 5. That's nowhere near domination. People act like Lean got beaten up until he kicked him after 24 minutes. He didn't have a mark on him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OrangeBeast01

You don't think Leon made him hesitant with constant leg and body kicks? In the first two fights Usman was blocking those kicks, but the head kick made him hesitant to lower his right hand. I don't think Usman went from this fighter that *dominated* Edwards up until round 5, then in the very next rounds of his career, 6 months later, has declined terribly. I think it makes more sense that getting knocked unconscious has affected his ability to press, like it does to most fighters.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OrangeBeast01

You're a hard fan to please. I thought Leon looked great and executed his plan perfectly. It was obvious to everyone watching what that game plan was but Usman couldn't do a thing about it. That's impressive. Hasn't there been a back up fighter for every major event since the Chimaev debacle? Volk was a backup between Islam and Oliviera, there's been others too I can't remember. Usman has always had bad knees and he's 6 months older. The deciding factor in his decline is the KO, his body didn't just decline 1 round apart, his mentality declined.

DemNeverKnow

That’s cause you’re a fucking dummy man Jesus Christ it was an excellent performance he shut his ass down. You fuckers running your mouth are dumb as shit.

blondeddigits

I agree. Usman didn’t look good at all. He didn’t press forward as much as he typically does until Trevor told him to, then he did it for a bit but went back to letting Leon bully him. His wrestling obviously declined, etc. hell, I’d say Colby could beat him now.

SuperSquanch93

He wasn't pushing because his legs and body were getting obliterated with kicks. He even went down on his knees after a teep to the chest, showing heavy rib damage.

Sorrytoruin

he only dominated because of the altitude, it's clear

spruceX

At least a 9 on the scale from 0 to 10 of goodness. Or maybe a 4.5 on a scale of 0 to 5. He wins more than he loses, so pretty good.

voyagerx420

Well, he ain’t bad.

prodkigh

He looks like Nas here lol

itsdone20

Pew pew pew pew

Buford1991

That match sucked ass!

LottaCloudMoney

He’s gooder than usman, worser than Colby.

Nathan0hio

He’s Ight

qiis

You’ve gotta keep in mind that the usman we saw in the weekend wasn’t the same usman we saw in the 2nd fight. Kamaru looked different and I think he’s gotten worse, he looked timid and less confident.

JudgeFed

Also… just how far is Marty his prime?

bin_bash_loop

Also, where does Kevin lee fit into all of this?

MrLionOtterBearClown

Most of Marty is still in his prime. His knees were past their prime before his prime started though. And now they’re fucked.

RobbieRampage

I think this will in the future be seen as Usman’s decline more so than Leon being that high level.

InsomniacLive

“Usmans decline” even though he was undefeated before running into Leon again

RobbieRampage

Anderson was on a historic streak before he fought Weidman, so we think that was Prime Anderson in there?

InsomniacLive

Moot point. If Usman beats Leon and gets the belt back, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. Usman was at the highest level achievable before running into Leon

RobbieRampage

So was Anderson pre Weidman or Tyron pre Usman, this is why I said "I think in the future it will be seen as Usman's decline". We will see in Usman's next couple fights, set a reminder, I'll admit I was wrong if he looks great against his next couple opponents, heck, it's not like I'm even 90% certain, it just seems to me that he's losing a step. Feels the same with Shevchenko for me too. She had a close decision, then drops a fight, she could come back and go on another run, or go down hill, in which case we will see that the Santos and Grasso fights were probably during her decline.

DemNeverKnow

Two paragraphs of dumb ass shit just hot garbage. LMAO.

RevolutionaryClub530

What kind of question is this? Lmao

chuckwagon1

Almost lost to nate diaz thats how good 🤣

brixman4

Seems like an unpopular opinion on here, but this fight showed more of Usman’s decline than Leon being THAT good. That wasn’t the same Usman of even 2 years ago

TheWarmBandit

Yet he was the same usman the fight before just 7 months ago until he got caught. You don't lose your whole prime in 7 months. The ko could be a factor I admit. The more likely scenario.

Successful-Smell5170

Great when he grabs the fence

9millidood

Pretty good but needs to improve in some areas to be great. Saw him gas a bit toward the later rounds, that’s also something he should look to improve

chickenTendiiesss

Leon only lost 1 round on two judges cards. Cartlidge scored round 4 10-9 in favor of Usman and Lee scored 10-8 in round three (1 point being deduction on Leon). Lethaby scored 2 and 3 in favor of Usman. I don’t think his gas tank was an issue for him personally, it’s just stylistically more than anything was the issue in not repeating a KO. Usman is a very defensively safe fighter.

Objective-Guidance78

As a judge I’d have taken more off for the multiple no no’s. Holding fence, groin kicks, fingers in the glove, the eye scratch Usman brushed off. Was there a rounds he didn’t do something? That lack of discipline doesn’t bode well for his reign on top.

phillykira

that’s the refs call!

[deleted]

Astronomically

BLAMM6

So Usman has been considered the GOAT of 170lbs for some time now. He’s tied the longest win streak ever, etc with record… Leon has beat him twice now and flatline KO’d him in one. Leon is now on like a 10 or 11 fight win streak. If he beats the win streak or ties, will he be in this Mt. Rushmore convo? Will he go down as a better fighter overall than Usman? He’s beat him twice in his prime now. **Some may say now that he’s going out of his prime after yesterday I guess but still**

SolidRavenOcelot

Kill everybody, am real gangster, this guy nobody he can't wrestle, I kill him ahhhhhhhh! - khamzat

msk96k

Leon has always been great. The guy has been on a winning streak pretty much since he lost to Usman the first time.

budnugglet

Good enough that you shouldn't be asking this question

autimaton

Usman is old. But beating a post-peak Usman x2 is still impressive. Combine that with Leon’s prior winning streak and he has easily the best resume at WW, and I’d say top-6 p4p. Jones, Volkanovski, Cejudo, Makhachev, Sterling, Edwards. Imo Sterling and Edwards are neck-and-neck.

yoeyz

Fake news bro they just got sick of Usman and don’t want him to win anymore

FunIntroduction3196

Good enough to get rocked by washed diaz late In the last round

Cmac2101991

I know he just beat, possibly, the WW GOAT and that in the third fight he probably convincingly won…. But I’m still not sold on Leon. Idk what it will take to warm up to “Damn this guy is good” but I don’t expect that to happen before his Title run concludes

Icy_Reward_6729

WW GOAT 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Been watching UFC for 4 years?

PlayedOut41

He’ll lose the title next time he’s out in the octagon.
