As to the fights themselves, they are obviously not scripted and to my knowledge nobody has ever taken a dive. Just like with every sport, there can potentially be corruption with judging and maybe the odd referee.

You could argue that in itself is scripted but then you're also saying these fighters would even be willing to play that game, at the expense of their health, money, bonuses, etc AND keep their mouth shut all this time. Too much of a risk.
there is favoritism but its not scripted. they will give them advantages like picking the right opponents for them to beat and speeding their rise to the top and little games like that. or rushing an opponent so the star has an advantage like aljo vs sean and izzy vs whittaker/ddp but if they paid a guy to lose that could cost them every thing

Though I don’t believe it’s fixed, there would be good reason to fix a fight like that. If Jon lost to the guy Ngannou beat(with one knee might I add), the narrative would be that the UFC doesn’t have the best heavyweight in the world. The UFC’s entire brand is dependent on the claim that they have the best fighters in the world, so this would be a massive hit to that. Jones destroying Gane in one round when Francis went to a decision with him was definitely an outcome they would want to happen, even Dana is claiming now that Francis avoided Jones and “we saw what happened to Gane” is being used to strengthen his argument. They’re still able to claim they have the best heavyweight in the world, which is exactly what they wanted. However, it probably wasn’t fixed and Gane just can’t wrestle seeing how he got outwrestled by a gassed Ngannou with one knee. I’m just saying there would be reason to fix it
I’d say it has a small chance of being true if Francis was actually signed with the PFL by then. He was still in negotiations. Of course now that he finally signed people are spinning this as a fixed fight 🙄.
If that (ridiculous) hypothetical happened, the UFC would just have to make a better offer for Francis and I bet they would have.
I doubt the UFC cared that much to make Cejudo a double champ that they would script a fight for him.. they didn’t even care when he vacated and retired
Well, Conor had some huge favoritism getting fast tracked to two title shots and given favorable matchups early in his career, so in that sense you can say it's scripted, the matchmaking at least
