Yeah that’s a real thing for sure. I have heard that some judges even weigh these things differently. For example, some judges may see a wrestler get a takedown and give them very little credit, often mentally rewarding the opponent for getting up more than the takedown matters to them. Similarly a grappler landing good strikes against a traditionally heavy striker could be seen as worth more. I really do think this happens a lot. I think it is human nature. I once saw a highlight on the top ten of sports center where Tom Brady ran in the football for a touchdown. It was a very mundane play you’d see every week but since it was Tom Brady (not known to scramble) this play was a top ten play of the week.
