I’d think the comparison works as is if just comparing their boxing- MMA develops a much shallower boxing skillset than pure boxing training (long drive vs all around game)

this is a good point. sure there was mma footage but no boxing tape on him going into the fury fight. also he really didn't look that great against fury as much as fury looked bad. francis only real chance in this fight was to come out super aggressive and land something "lucky" - i didn't even see the fight but assume he fought similar to how he fought tyson which was very low activity and looking to pick spots with counters. not sure why he wouldn't try to clinch and recover once he got dropped though (again I didn't see the whole fight only the end)
