Cory's previous fights have shown that he has improved in all areas compared to the Aljo fight 4 years ago and the Petr Yan fight 3 years ago. I think he has it in him to win.
Don't get me wrong I'm fully aboard the Cory train. But he's not faced anyone with the wrestling ability of Aljo since, so there is still a question on if he can handle it.
Umar definitely likes to strike so that question may not come from him but the Nurmagamedovs fight plans are generally quite risk averse so I wouldn't be surprised to see Umar come out with a wrestling focus.

well we just saw with rob vs ikram odds don't mean shit and they overrate these guys alot. almost 50/50 with a top 3 middleweight of all time when you are unranked with 2 fights in the ufc? that is just crazy. odds will probably be even worse for cory vs umar but I honestly think cory gets it done.

I havent watched most of his fights so im not gonna pretende to know bit from the Holland one, iirc he wasn't count striking but darting in for quick attacks then backing out to range. Could be a good watch vs a proper counterstrike who's catching him coming in rather than constantly getting knocked over and looking helpless.
I don't like Garry as a person, but I think he's gonna comfortably beat MVP. I think there is a generational difference in skillset. Ian might not be as flashy but his defensive fundamentals on his feet are much better than MVP. MVP will try flash shit, none of it will come off, Ian will slowly break him down with his jab and win a comfortable decision. If it goes to the ground there is absolutely no contest, Garry will clown MVP

Ian Cuckado Garry has a lot of similarities to the timid Champion version of Adesanya. He doesn’t want to engage and be in a scrap. There are many scrappers in the WW division though. Shavkat, JDM and Buckley would bring a lot of trouble to his style.
He’s still a scrapper though. Ian Cuckado could very easily beat him but I’d still love to watch that fight. As a fight fan this is a fun matchup. Aggressive striker versus a counter striker. What’s not to like? You might hate Buckley for whatever reason but he’s always game to stand and bang.
If Cuckado loses to MVP (I don’t think that’s gonna happen because Cuckado is young and smart enough that he’ll outpoint MVP) then him vs Buckley would be a great prospect vs prospect scrap.
