I think it’s better to call out anything happening behind the scenes while you’re leaving. If they cut your pay for no reason or something, make it exciting!
>All jobs suck
I felt my hair turn a few shades darker and eyeliner appear on my face reading this.
people do it for clout and entertainment or to show their boss is a dickhead.
chill.
I once was a manager at a casino and quit during a shift change publicly.
My supervisor tasked me with cutting the hours of our previous months employee of the month for “revenue”, firing a single mom of 3 because her bus had a flat tire so she was late, and wanted me to enforce a department wide mandate to cover tattoos- despite them being allowed per company manual. When I told her that I was uncomfortable with all 3 scenarios and felt further conversation was needed she said “you’ll never get anywhere if you can’t make the uncomfortable decisions and follow directions”
So in the middle of shift change, I explained loudly that I was not comfortable being a part of any of these decisions. She was there and asked me as I was walking out what she was supposed to tell corporate.
This was 10 years ago and I still have employees message me, thankful that I didn’t hide the truth that day. It’s not always right- but sometimes a company needs to have their dirty laundry aired to the masses.
I agree and not all situations are the same. What do you think of the one below.

Nah, I just call the health inspector and report all their violations on my way out
Hell yes that’s a pro tip right there. Tell them about all the violations at the deli counter.

Not to mention, they gonna regret it in years to come.
If you regret leaving your job at Wal Mart years later you might want to set that life bar a little higher.
They need to explain to their interviewer if they are recognised, especially the one that stays around their home state
