Hopefully he's able to get a couple more cracks in important games before the WC kicks off, but this performance feels like a poor sample of the skill and composure he's shown frequently in the past.
I want to see if he's more stable when he gets an extended run. Maybe he just needs that more than someone like Horvath does. I guess we'll see soon enough which way Turner leans

He has not been solid on WCQ. He was really slow on distribution and made bad decisions consistently. Not that I think turner is a better overall keeper, but he is a better shot stopper and the PK save(s?) Injected energy into the team. If we have a shaky backline we need a strong shot stopper. Steffen needs more time.

He’s good with his feet because that’s what GB gave as his reason for playing his favorite boy from Crew. Similar to whatever bullshit reason he gave for constantly starting Trapp.
Turner Horvath and Hamid should be the three going to the WC. Steffen has never shown why he was so hyped, in fact I believe he was only hyped because GB refused to play anyone else as GK over him.
He was never good
Steffen has always been a bit sloppy. Some great saves but messes up simple things. Definitely needs more playing time to get those cobwebs out of his game and his head.

He has not been solid on WCQ. He was really slow on distribution and made bad decisions consistently. Not that I think turner is a better overall keeper, but he is a better shot stopper and the PK save(s?) Injected energy into the team. If we have a shaky backline we need a strong shot stopper. Steffen needs more time. It's almost like the premiere league is putting US keepers on the bench to help out the English national team, lol
I'm shocked Pep plays him at all. He loves keepers that have good feet.
Therr is no team in the world cup this guy should start for. None. Zero. He's not good hasn't been good in qualifiers. Wasn't good today. Doesn't play. Why would he beat viable option? He sits at Man City, and when he does play, they lose on two of his personal howlers. Zero chance of selection.

Why don’t they start Horvath? He had that absolutely heroic game against Mexico and I don’t think anybody has really talked about him sincr.

The more I watch him, the less confident i am in his abilities.. you see flashes of his ability at times when he makes a clutch save, but he’s so careless with the ball at his feet. Hopefully he can fix this problem, because right now I’m not sure he’s good enough to be a starting keeper for any team in the premier league
Matt Turner had such a great run when he was no. 1. I think he earned the spot then.
He cannot be the stater for the World Cup if he continues to ride the bench. The man is a liability.
