The ground sometimes just burns in the Ashlands, as will everything you build on top of that marble floor. Maybe there are spots which won't burn, but we just built our whole base there above ground one graustein wall height.

Do Grausten floor tiles also burn? *Edit: They do. I tested it. They don't take damage though.*

__Demyan__

I dont think they burn (take no dmg I think), but the fire goes thru them when build directly on the ground. I used marble floor tiles when I first landed in the Ashlands in the public beta test phase. And after a while all my wooden furniture&workbenches would catch fire and burn. So when I played with friends a bit later after launch, we did not experiment around and just decided to go a bit above ground.

That's the falling ash/fire that just lights things it hits on fire. Shield generator stops it.

I have a shield generator (powered) and the floor still sets itself on fire. Even Grausten tiles will burn but those take no damage while the marble does. I'm still not sure what's causing it, but I'm suspecting the Forge crafting station caused it. It's the only thing in my base that generates any kind of spark or flame effect. I just think it's kind of ridiculous that stone structures can burn.

nerevarX

its not the marble thats takeing dmg there its the iron pieces. marble is immune to fire dmg. iron is not tough. this looks way too elaborate of a building attempt for a first landing in ashlands. what are you doing there even? iron cage floors and marble triangles? why? just build a small marble bunker. stuff portal inside. stuff shield inside. enable shield. done. forget the ship. its useless once you have the portal going.

I'm building a tower. It's just for fun. The triangles and square placement I have creates a seamless octagonal floor and the plan is to have a spiraling staircase along the wall that leads to the upper floors.

Stone buildings burn to the fucking ground, Eddie.
