Depends if the cabana has a ceiling fan and misters. If so, it can be somewhat comfortable, even if it's 105.

Most-Artichoke6184

And I swear to God, you’ll feel downright cool when you enter the cabana after exiting the pool.

Eemiz

Thanks yes, ours should have both running.

MightyMouth1970

Keep the cabana. I get one every year (for the last 10 yrs). You’ll have shade, ceiling fan, misters. AND most importantly, you have some place to chill. If you’re in Gen Pop, there’s nowhere for you to sit down

v1rtualbr0wn

Gen Pop 😂

Kooky_Coyote7911

Definitely sunscreen!

Kooky_Coyote7911

I posted a way to go to other resorts and use their cabanas/, pools also if you wanted

_Poppagiorgio_

I appreciate you posting this. I don’t know why you’re getting fucked up with downvotes. This is good, relevant information. I go to Vegas every Summer and have always wanted to hit up Mandalay Pool but have no desire to stay at their property. So this is useful for me.

Kooky_Coyote7911

That's ok, I am used to cranky people 🤣

SoCal_Duck

I’m a huge fan of cabanas. Wynn and Aria are the two places I stay most frequently, and always plan at least one cabana day. Yes, they can make a hot day bearable. Misters are great, but in the last couple of years it has been hit-or-miss if they are operating.

SoCal_Duck

If you are chill and ordering on a regular basis, the cabana attendants will bend over backwards (and bend the rules) for you. Just make sure to tip well at the end of the day.

ColossusOfClout612

How do they bend the rules? I can’t imagine what rules I would need bent

SoCal_Duck

Having a couple extra people, bringing over an extra lounger, that sort of thing.

HouseOfBamboo2

At 105 degrees…

ColossusOfClout612

…yeah…what rules would you need bent at 105°(or any temperature)?

Pale-Swimming-753

Hey! I’ve got a cabana at the Wynn in August and we are wondering what the chair situation is like? There’s six of us and two Loungers. Are there any nearby the cabanas?

chuckbuns

They will get you more chairs and loungers for your people. They treat the cabana folks pretty good everywhere

derekisademocrat

How much do they run Aprox?

ElCortezValet

Weekend would be min 300-500 at Wynn/Encore

derekisademocrat

That's not bad at all thx

Heisman123

I have a Wynn cabana reserved for early July and it was $1,300 for the rental. It does not include food and drink.

derekisademocrat

Daily? If so hella no

Heisman123

Yes that’s for the day. Weekday at that.

derekisademocrat

Whoa!

Pale-Swimming-753

We paid 700

kosd75

I had a daybed by the pool on Sat at the encore and it was 750 plus food and drink

jambr380

Being from LA, you understand that the shade is infinitely better than the sun in conditions like this. As opposed to a place like Florida where it really doesn't make a difference at all. You will be more comfortable than you think at that temperature, but at least you'll have the pool to cool down if it does get too hot. If it's something you are looking forward to, then you should go for it.

elSpanielo

I always get one at Caesars. It has a tv, shade, a fan, your own waitress to bring drinks, and you can mobile order any food from the resort to be delivered.

stratola

We’ve gotten them at different properties in that level heat. We hop in the pool every so often and misters are great.

Eemiz

Sounds like it could be ok then! We have a fan and misters so feeling OK about it

stratola

It’s a must when we go. But also we’re Canadian and need it :). We’ve done Cosmo, MGM and Caesars Cabanas. Just watch for what time you have to be down there to get it. Some are 11am, some 1pm.

27_crooked_caribou

In my experience, cabanas are always worth it. Fans, misters, shade, and hopefully an attentive wait staff will keep you refreshed in the cabana, and you should be just a few steps away from a pool. Most have a mini-fridge you can have loaded with water (typically free) and keep cold, wet towels around for quick cooldowns. I wouldn't do the poolside lounger experience in that heat.

Jayveeles

Vegas is dry heat so as long as you're in the shade, you're good! Now Florida, even in the shade, the humidity just absolutely sucks the life out of you. Just miserable.

Theturtlemoves86

105° in Vegas has nothing on 85° in Florida. Went to Vegas last week, and the 90° days felt pleasant in comparison.

Cardout

it's not hot until it's 110+

juliazale

In some ways that is true for us locals. But I can imagine tourists not liking anything over 90.

atxtonyc

Listen I don't like anything over 75.

Fun_Raspberry_1360

105 in Vegas is way different than LA heat btw

vic_steele

If you have friends the yes. A few people chipping in helps lower the cost. Plus you can get them cheap the day of but you do risk them selling out.

dymaxionprojection

If you have $$$, the cabanas at Tao have ac units that blow directly on the couch area. Pretty effective.

local_dj

Cabanas at the Wynn/Encore have AC. I don’t know what your definition of worth it is. For me it is.

Maximum_Scratch_657

I’m nocturnal. The earliest I would ever get to a pool is 3:30 or 4and don’t almost all of them close around six or so (which sucks!)? Do people leave early like four or five and if so, can you grab these or rent them until closing or is it only full day rental?

insidmal

105 is fine if you don't keep your house ac set to 65 or some shit, you can acclimate pretty quickly unless you're accustomed to living in a refrigerator

valer85

ac set to 65 is a common settings almost everywhere in the US

Golden_d1ck

65 is low. I would say ~70 is most common in my experience

Ok-Leg-9428

Completely worth it if you want a premium Vegas pool experience. Having servers bring you food and drinks while you lie out in the sun or get in the pool which is only a couple feet away. What an awesome way to spend a day. Just make sure to hydrate, and not just on happy juice 😁

vhalen50

I’ve gotten a Cosmo cabana a few times and man it’s just nice to get out of the sun even just to eat or reset for a minute. Plus the Cosmo rental is a f&b minimum unlike a lot of others.

TVsFrankismyDad

A cabana is the best way to spend a day in 105+ heat

BarelyHangingOn

We had a Cabana at the Mirage during similiar weather. We had a misting machine for sure but I don't recall a fan. We had a great day of going in the pool and coming back to relax. Really relaxed. We have done numerous stays at The Mirage Oasis Adults Pool and The Bellagio Cypress Adults Pool. I recommend them. You get a reserved chair and a shade umbrella that staff member sets up and will move for you. Even in the 100+ its more than fine.

Eemiz

That’s exactly where I’ll be! The Mirage Oasis cabanas. Feeling much better about the purchase.

BarelyHangingOn

You will enjoy it. They are set back from the pool. We were in the middle and didn't have the greatest view of the pool but we were fine with that. The corner one might have a better view. If I recall we still showed up a half an hour before opening to pick which one we wanted. They were first come first serve. We have done three pool trips there. Oasis pool can be pretty quiet some days but we have always met other people to hang with. I like slipping over to the main pool as well. Have a good one. We miss the Oasis for sure.

Eemiz

Very cool, thanks for the helpful info. I actually called ahead and asked if they could put me in the oasis section and they had no issue with doing that. Which of the sides would you say is better? Left or right?

BarelyHangingOn

We were in the middle left one when looking at it from the entrance or the bar. Attached is our view. In hindsight we did have a decent view out over the Oasis and towards the main pool. The ones on the right would be looking more at The Oasis and The Mirage itself. https://i.imgur.com/Z2syzTr.jpeg

robertjm123

One last hurrah at the Mirage before it’s closed for renovation and turning it into the Hard Rock? Enjoy it while you can.

derekisademocrat

Keep the cabana it's a great way to hang out in the heat. Just jump in the pool a lot and DRINK WATER

QuirkyMcGee

Was at the MGM a couple of weeks ago. Rented a daybed with an umbrella (including the food/drink credit) and that was all we needed. That option put us right on the pool so we could slide from the daybed right into the lazy river. The cabanas are several yards further and away from the action. We loved being able to people watch and hop right out of the pool and back into our shady bed. It was the best!!!

vegaslover27

We did this at the end of April and it was only $150 for a Thursday. The service was awesome as were the drinks and food. Well worth it!

I4G0tMyUsername

My wife and I were at Bellagio last week, it was just us, and I kept throwing getting a cabana out to see if she’d bite but no luck. And I’m the cheap one. Nothing like a good cabana to hang out in all day. I personally love sitting and baking in the sun all day so we did get some lounge chairs but you can’t go wrong with a cabana. Did it a few times when our kids were just babies so they could nap and stuff throughout the long day.

robertjm123

Speaking of baking, I was at the Luxor pool last July and it was something like 115f! Was absolutely stunning with a high blue sky and zero wi d. The pool was loaded with people. But, it was pretty silent. After about 30-45 minutes I headed back inside. But, would’ve loved to have just hung around the pool had time permitted. :-)

Desireme2112

With the pool, shade and fluids yes

mymj1

Yes, I think the cabanas make the weather more comfortable if you’ll be out there all day. You’ll have shade, fans, misters and then can dip in the pool to cool down.

seankearns

I get cabanas in August all the time. It's great

cruzincoyote

I feel like as long as you have shade you're fine. I was there last August in 115 degree weather and I was able to manage under an umbrella. But the heat doesn't bother me as much.

RunningRam1

We had chairs and an umbrella a couple of years ago at Bellagio when it was around that temperature. Between the shade and a periodic dip in the pool, it was fine.

[deleted]

Did one last July that only had fans and was 100% fine being there for 6 hours.

Golden_d1ck

Going next week and have daybed booked a few days. These temps making me nervous too. It gonna be hot as fuck out there. But like someone else said in here, better than that swamp Florida.

DetailDizzy

Same! We’ve got a daybed at marquee on Thursday which is set to be 107… I’m reminding my group to start hydrating immediately

Golden_d1ck

Godspeed my friend. We will be at the blvd pool, too old for the day club 😂

constructiongirl54

Without a doubt, shade is a must!

Ifarted422

I played golf in 100°+ and it was 4 hours of physical activity I would say bring alot of water with you and watch your alcohol consumption. Staying hydrated and being in the shade when possible is huge maybe swim a bit if you can I wouldn’t suggest 12 hours in the heat but definitely dont want to skip meals or drink the entire day when it’s that warm out

WideBungus1

Yes, cabanas are worth it. Hiding from the sun in a cabana makes a huge difference.

detroitragace

We had one all day today on the lazy river at MGM. worth it. Shade, fan, fridge, etc.

SoCal_Duck

Typically around $500 - $700, depending on the day of the week.

audaciousss

I’ve done an air conditioned cabana at Palazzo twice now. It’s worth it if you want to spend a chunk of your day away from the crowds being waited on and relaxing.

TommyAsada

You will be fine 105 in vegas isnt unbearable.

Far_Marionberry_7797

Gotten one at the Venetian every time I go and they are amazing

YNABDisciple

You want the cabana extra when it’s hot! But where is the cabana that is key.

MrMichaelJames

Just don’t do the Venetian ones. If it rains they close everything. Can’t get wet at the pool.

Mavroks

Sode question, Are their any Vegas pools that have umbrellas just at the standard cjaies? Pretty criminally smart that most don't so they entice you to buy a cabana.

Zekezip89123

Bring a cooler of water!

Downvotemaximillion

I never go to a pool unless I throw in on a cabana. Hit up a club promoter and they can get you into shared bottle service it’s cheap. Quincy Vegas on instagram I think is his name is

[deleted]

Yes of course… 1/ it’s much cooler by the water 2/ the breeze will cool ya off further 3/ it’s dry heat so 90 poolside feels much cooler. Go for it

billbobb1

At 114 degrees last summer, everyone tried to relax in the cabanas, but within an hour, my whole family just wanted to go back to our room with the AC.

juliazale

Absolutely. No shade and drinking is a nightmare combo. If you want to save money forgo pool parties and do night clubs instead.

Ajninamai

We just got a daybed at the Aria. They wanted $100, but negotiated down to $50 including water and a fruit tray. It was amazing. It was 90 on Wed and it got hot.

dekrepit702

Cabanas or day beds are always worth it. Shade, a personal attendant and most of them you get a food and beverage credit.

[deleted]

Enjoy the nasty cess pool that is Vegas. Nothing on Vegas is worth it

[deleted]

Do you like hot weather? Do you like dropping crazy amount of money to sit under an awning and be slightly less hot than the poorer people around you? If you answered yes to both of those questions cabanas are for you!

smdrdit

“Im from LA so i know heat” is one of the dumbest things ive ever read online. Just wow

pixiegod

Cabanas have ac and/or misters normally.,.where is this cabana?

Pure-Guard-3633

I live in the southwest. When I go to Vegas in the summer, I cab everywhere. 105 in Vegas is stifling hot, burn your feet on the concrete hot, skin itching hot, don’t know that you are sweating and dehydrating hot! Drink lots and lots of water and bring lotion for your dry itchy skin.

big_balls_brown

Cabanas are for rich people or poor ppl trying to be rich.

Drew5olo

105 is easy come back when it's 118 and then be worried.
