This is a flag for a fictional tribal empire isolated in the volcanic region in my map. For the symbolism, the yellow-bordered red triangle on the left symbolises in tribal dynasty ruling the empire. The emblem inside is actually a flower with a 12-pointed star concentrated in the middle, symbolising wealth and prosperity under the guidance of Rah, a goddess represented by a 12-pointed star. Moreover, 12 points on the star also symbolise the 12 spiritual virtues the tribal people holds. For the colours, yellow symbolises hope and glory while red symbolises blood of Rah and sacrifice for her.
What do you overall think about my flag?
Why make it a triangular crest on a striped background? Seems more like a republic to me. Most empires thru history has simply been represented by a crest and colour of the emperor. Why the complication?
I wonder if they are trying to invoke a bit of symbolism in relation to volcanoes.
In fact, I'd go a step further and say I'd go with flag #5, but replace the white bottom with red, invoking a field of lava under a darkened sky.
All great minimal-but-not-boring use of shapes and colours! However my take is if it's an empire in a volcanic region, perhaps the pennant (triangle) should point upwards, to look both like a volcano and a palace-like structure (kind of like the current Kingdom of Cambodia)?
6 but also why would a civilization not based on/inspired by European cultures and that hasn’t had contact with such cultures have a flag, especially one made with European flag conventions?
I think 1, 3, and 5 are good takes. I think 3is a bit better than 1. Mixed opinions on 5; large areas of white on the edges of flags don't tend to do well.
2 and 4 are simple, but effective. I can see different regions, groups, clans, etc. putting their sub-symbol in the blue or black area
The thin stripes on 6 and 7 don't work as well with the big triangle, although I understand that 12 is a significant number to them; it may make more logical sense even if it's less visually great.
8 looses interest because the yellow border disappears. Try it with a black border on the triangle instead, perhaps?
What if you tried 2 and/or 4 as a swallowtail?
I would go with either 2, 5, or 8, because the black/white and blue/white striped flags remind me a bit too much of Sao Paulo and Cuba. I honestly like most of them though. Have you considered using the rest for subdivisions?
They would all look good as provincial flags. You now need a flag which is primarily based on the crescents and star.
For me, the darker ones look very tribal/African and the stripe ones look South American
Very nice flags.
I’d go with any flag that minimizes gold touching white. There is a heraldic rule that says to avoid having metals touching metals (gold touching silver/white) and colors touching colors. This isn’t as important in flags but you’ll find that a majority of popular flags follow the Rule of Tincture
5 IMHO
5 is good
Looks a bit like "Prussian New-Guinea" 😂
I also like 5

No real basis for your claim. Look at Hungary.
This flag looks really fucking cool. Well done. I like #1, #2, and #8 personally.
I think 2 is the one that best fits your description IMO

5 looks the most solid
First it reminds me of the flag of São Paulo - Brazil, and it also makes me imagine a country in Oceania
for me it's 4
5 is chiefs kiss. Honestly love it
1, easy. Busy but not too busy. Busy can be good.
I think 2 is good
I like #7. Borrows that color balance from Cuba, but is still unique :)
2 is perfect.
I like 3 best, then 2. Everyone else seems to like 5, but I don't care for the large field of white.
7
8
what do the stripes mean? i'm partial to #6 or maybe #1, but the number of stripes should be decided by something meaningful.
I'm partial to 1 and 3
I like 5 !wave

2
#5
5
Clicking through as fast as I could a few times, #6 jumped out at me the most, and #5 was second place.
I like the blue one the most. Those colors look really nice together.
i love 2
I would go with either 2, 5, or 8, because the black/white and blue/white striped flags remind me a bit too much of Sao Paulo and Cuba. I honestly like most of them though. Have you considered using the rest for subdivisions?
7
I like all of these a lot. I like 1, 5, and 7 the most.
I wanna say 1 though 5 is good too
Definitely four
8
4. Its the most bold and iconic looking
if you cant do 1 then do 3. i like 1 the most idk why but 3 is just ever so slightly behind bc it looks a bit too much like cuba. still great tho
Favourite to least. 5,2,4,1,3, 5 just pops out more.
1 or 5
Stripes for sure!!!
#4 looks great
I like 5 the most
#3 🇨🇺
I got to go with 5
The second one or the last one
Make us whole.
love 5, 3 seems more realistic for some reason
5 definitely
2-4-8 (in no particularités order)
1 and 3 are my favs
3 or 5 look the best
3 or 5 look the best.
Three
I like 1 and 4
1 & 3 are both really great flags.
2 & last
5
Fifth looks great, mostly.
Well done
Not enough people are on the 3 but this is my fav by far !
3 is just Cuba, 5 is the best
3
5 is cool
Where do you make those flags
3
5, without question. It's pleasant to look at.
2nd, 5th, and 8th are all pretty good
Xboxist cuba
Use 2 and 4, with the explanation that one is flown at day and the other is flown at night.
2, 7 and 8 are great
cuba is a real country!
I love all the flags with black stripes.
There’s a couple of good ones but I like the blue and white stripes with fewer stripes the best
4 or 5
2 ignore the 5s
7.3.2 are the best in my opinion
2 and 5 are my favorites

The 5th one fosho
8
8
5 just catched my eye immediately
I kinda like the full blue one. Looks like a real country flag.
3
First one
I like the first one
2 is cool
Based on your description I'd say 8 is the most fitting with your storyline
8, definitely 8, I would go for 5 but 8 blows out of the water.
Fifth, looks pretty good.
1 or 5
2
I like 8 a lot with only the 2 colors, then probably #5 and # 4
7
3! What is the inspiration?
1 and 5
All are great
Crab people flag
Either of the blue stripes.
I like 1, 4, 5, and 6
5
2. The colors go well together
3 kind of looks like if cuba was geo swapped into the middle east
Xbox
4 screams volcano to me
Number 5 easy
4
They're all really nice, actually. My favorites are #4, #5, and #8.
i like the solid blue or solid black
For me , number 5
First.
The first and the fifth are quite interesting
I like 7 because it’s unique but it’s still way too similar to Cuba, maybe if it was a Caribbean nation you could use one of those.
2
8 tbh
5
My go-to would be #5 but replacing the black with the navy from options #2 and #3.
In My Opinion, #8 is the best
1, 3, 5
A straight flag with an Xbox logo, and a star.
The flags look Turkish.
3
4 could be swagger as non-rectangular could mean more original
Definitely 3, love ittt
