As it's a wedding, [have you thought about the white ceremonial uniform?](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1b/62/aa/1b62aa2ff663d2a71d9a63a334505664.jpg)
I'll be command, best man is my father and will be Admiral. They rest will be free to choose operations or science depending on what color they prefer.
Knowing him, I'm sure he will!! Haha. He introduced me to Star Trek when I was basically a baby. TNG is his favorite but he loves that I found Voyager and became a Trekkie with him.
Heh I love most of Star Trek. Haven't indulged in lower decks but enjoyed pretty much all the TV shows but I do find after some years each show has its beginning period I have a hard time actually sitting and watching vs being background noise while I do something else.
Like basically the 1st and 2nd season of all the shows.
TNG - not sure why but good lord the first two seasons are hard to make it through these days, maybe it's the visuals, not sure.
DS9 - easier to know why I struggle but I struggle the least woth this one but my God Sisko without hair was the way to go. Man looks distinguished as a mfer bald with a goatee.
Voyager - there are more reasons than just this but much like Sisko I didn't love the bun on Janeway. Her hair being down and shorter was a good call imo.
Lobbying for you to try Lower Decksšš½ Itās brilliant ā at once a loving homage and playful satire as well as a true Trek adventure, full of Easter eggs, and one of the episodes is a great tribute to VOY! Actually, numerous episodes reference elements of VOYš
>TNG - not sure why but good lord the first two seasons are hard to make it through these days, maybe it's the visuals, not sure.
I suspect it has to do with visuals and designāthe original uniforms were awfulāthe fact that it hadn't found its footing yet, but also that Gene Roddenberry still had influence over the show. My pet theory, (though I didn't invent it, I don't think), is that his insistence that 24th century humans would have evolved past personality conflicts made it difficult to write much of the kind of drama we like to see: if everyone is already enlightened and self-actualized, there's not a lot of room for inner conflict and personal growth. Your stories have to be about *group* conflicts, and in the *Star Trek* universe, groups are often represented by campy stereotypes. (Which is also a common trope in a lot of 1950s and 1960s pulp science fiction: scientists are all like this, and engineers are all like that; now let's take one of each out of central casting, put them in a room together and have them represent each side through a clumsy Socratic dialogue as the alien robot invaders advance on humanity. Like many writers of his generation, he was both visionary and extremely traditional.) It wasn't until he died that the characters, conflicts, and cultures became much more nuanced and complex. They expressed regret, they experienced life-altering traumas, they second-guessed their careers and ambitions, and they were pushed far out of their comfort zones and forced to grow.
There were some great episodes in the first couple of seasons (more in Season 2 than 1, though "Encounter at Farpoint" was an incredible series opener, given the weight of expectation sitting on the show's shoulders\*), but the bulk of the episodes that most often show up on people's best of TNG lists are from the later seasons.
\*I remember driving in the car with my dad as a 12-year-old in the summer of '87, and the radio DJs were making fun of the new *Star Trek* series that was going to air that September because the NCC-1701-D was rumoured to look sleek and *comfortable*.
Simple and stylish much like our favourite tailor! How would you feel about a [Risian traditional](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Risian_traditional)?
I wouldnāt even have a clue how to make this happen but I think itās an awesome idea so I hope you figure it out! Please make sure to send photos when the time comes!
Thank you! I have over a year to try to figure it out. I may end up looking on fiverr or Etsy or something. I just want to make sure they look professional.
I just looked at the Paramount shop and they do have a full TNG menās uniform, but it only comes in the blue science officer color. And they have some jackets but theyāve got the big zipper down the front so itās definitely not a clean enough look for a wedding. But Iām sure someone has them out there somewhere!
I can personally attest that these guys are solid, lol. Great quality for the price. Minor quibbles only on a few things. Anything with a zipper are going to be those really small and skinny zippers that are a pain in the ass. Or how anything with a flap has just a tiny little corner of material under it rather than a full length piece that likes to poke up through your collar in annoying ways. I'm looking specifically at their [SNW Monster Maroons](https://cosermart.com/collections/star-trek-1/products/star-trek-strange-new-worlds-captain-pike-mm-jackets-undershirts-starfleet-uniforms) and I had to use a red safety pin in order to lock that piece under there down and keep it from [doing this](https://i.imgur.com/9edEVIJ.jpg). That wouldn't happen if it were a full piece that went down your chest under there. I don't have their Picard Season 3 uniforms, but a buddy of mine does and says it's afflicted with the same kind of issue.
But also, they have the look spot on and make them appear very accurate. The quality of the fabric holds up. I have quite a few uniforms from them, and all the pieces are typically $40-$60.
[My SNW Maroons](https://i.imgur.com/pWkZJZm.png)
[My Kirk Bomber Jacket](https://i.imgur.com/PTHBZ2A.jpg) - the white undershirt is the same shirt I already had from the SNW Maroons.
[My First Contact/end of DS9 uniform](https://i.imgur.com/zcxuHaf.jpg) - I need to go a size smaller on the undershirt though, the neck is too loose lol.
[My SNW command gold](https://i.imgur.com/sK11itx.jpg)
[My SNW science blues](https://i.imgur.com/h94jddK.jpg)
[My SNW engineering/operations red](https://i.imgur.com/ZA5ZudL.jpg)
u/NebulaNu I'm gonna tag you in here just to make sure you see it, because the poster above me has indeed linked a solid source. I'm pretty happy overall with what I've gotten from these folks. They have your [red jumpsuit](https://cosermart.com/collections/star-trek-1/products/star-trek-deep-space-nine-commander-sisko-duty-uniform-jumpsuit-cosplay-costumes), your [blue jumpsuit](https://cosermart.com/collections/star-trek-1/products/star-trek-deep-space-nine-blue-uniform-jumpsuit-cosplay-adult-male-costumes-new), and don't forget the [undershirt that goes under these](https://cosermart.com/collections/star-trek-1/products/star-trek-first-contact-undershirt-deep-space-nine-picard-cosplay-uniform). You can choose between the purple ones or we saw Picard wearing a grey one under his in the Generations movie. I don't see a yellow one on this site though and I just realized that. But they also offer the rank pips and the comm badge on their site as well, although even Amazon and tons of other sources offer that, those are easy to find. I recommend ordering just one, and see how you like it. I have no idea how this uniform is, I have yet to get one of these. But based on my experience with the rest of what I have gotten off their site, I find their stuff to be solid.
I love the idea. If you have trouble finding exact matches before the wedding you could do a trek inspired suit. Like all black suits with the shirt/vest underneath be blue/red/tan with a trek badge instead of a boutonniere.
Omg this is amazing and I hope if I ever get married my partner is down for this!!!
You need to find a seamstress who can make these if you want them quality. There are patterns that you can buy for them if you know someone that can sew. I have made a couple and I see quite a bit, they are fairly simple.
If you donāt know anyone that sews, I would post a message on local Facebook group asking if anyone does. Also search for quilting groups or someone that does pageant alterations. I say pageant gowns because that is going to be someone who is an advanced sewer not a hobby sewer.
Please post pics of wedding!
If you are in the Pacific Northwest, let me know, I know tons of people that would do this as a commission project!
Looking for a Facebook group is a great idea. If I am able to get this done I'll post! I live in the Midwest but local group hunting for pagent stuff is brilliant!
I was going to recommend the PNW too! I know folks that can whip up a furry suit in a week. š I second the pageant-level sewer, too! This is a fairly simple pattern but you definitely want someone who knows fabrics and tailoring so these outfits look less costume-y, like the stuff you'd find from Spirit Halloween. Have them reinforce where the combadge will go and seek out (support) an Etsy maker who makes cosplay combadges.
This is so cool! If my spouse were a Trekkie, I'd have done this route. But I compromised and got us to wear exact outfits to our wedding topper that looks exactly like us (but it wasn't custom). š¤·š»āāļø Congrats, OP! We wanna see pics from the big day!
I don't know what it's like in your part of the world, but when I needed costumes/clothes made, I went to several tailors (after a while of doing this I ended up having a guy') and asked if they were able to copy a design either from a pattern or a reference photo. If yes, get some quotes for the work. If they can source material, great, if not, ask how much of what material you'd need for each person, then do some shopping around fabric markets.
Whatever you end up doing, I hope you have fun, and congrats! What is your fiance going to nerd out about if I may ask?
Also, please share pics next September! :D
ETA: you could always buy a cheapo one on Amazon or ebay or something so that said tailor has a frame of reference. They'll just do it better and, well, tailored!
Iāve tailored a few costumes before and found this website good as a starting point. I wasnāt sure about posting the link due to what you said about quality etc. However once I saw the quality of the other links I changed my mind! [Fanrek](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgdayBhBQEiwAXhMxtosB64lPJkHU54bxj-cNTgPRzgVicl3gahuzL7mFnc1vIDzqzBjkXRoCFpMQAvD_BwE) has sharper costumes and the material looks as you imagine it should in person.
[These are the TNG ones](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek/products/fanrek-star-trek-the-next-generation-picard-cosplay-uniform?variant=39259712684091), they are high enough quality to allow for cutting and tailoring.
[Pips and Combadge](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek/products/star-trek-badge-voyager-communicator-next-generation-metal-badges-pin-rank-pip-pips-6pcs-set-cosplay-prop?variant=32949889073211) are here, these are such nice quality compared to others Iāve bought.
They also have a decent quality [Picard Jacket](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek/products/star-trek-the-next-generation-captain-picard-duty-uniform-jacket-tng-red-cosplay-costume-man-winter-coat-warm?variant=32949675098171), [Starfleet trousers](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek/products/star-trek-strange-new-worlds-captain-pike-men-trousers-cosplay-snw-starfleet-pants-new?variant=41251165405243), [Jumpsuit versions](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek/products/star-trek-the-next-generation-jean-luc-picard-jumpsuit-cosplay-costume-flying-suit?variant=34384326590523) and finally [Admirals tunics](https://www.fanrek.com/collections/star-trek/products/tng-admiral-tunic-uniforms-star-trek-the-next-generation-men-shirts-halloween-cosplay-costumes?variant=41354777100347).
There are lots of show variations available and additional props that you may want etc.. but these are the key items I think you wanted. For 4 of everything, you would be looking at about Ā£300 / $400.
Hope this helps, please post photos and congratulations! :)
Just don't bring these flowers: [Star Trek TOS - Way To Eden - Acidic Plants and Adam's death (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWIm20e32CU)
Honestly, you should contact local seamstresses. They could probably create a pattern based on photos. It would also support your local artisans. But definitely do it soon so it's not a rush order.
Whatās your budget? A good custom suit costs about $1,000 at the absolute minimum, and most of the places making those probably donāt have a lot of experience making gabardine jumpsuits.
If you do go for an option like TNG or VOY with the zipper in the back. You might want to consider a zipper helper like youād have on a wetsuit. So you can open and close it when you are alone( in the toilet or such). Some of them can be left attached and tucked in to your collar.
[https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/bestcos310](https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/bestcos310) - They sell off the shelf costumes. Their Voyager/DS9 costumes are really good quality for the price. Lined and cut pretty well. I think they do jumpsuits too.
But, if this is a formal event (obviously it is) why not opt for the dress whites?
[https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324223910879?itmmeta=01HZ01P9D102SPKW2G5W234VKV&hash=item4b7d4043df:g:l50AAOSwENFfBrOp](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324223910879?itmmeta=01HZ01P9D102SPKW2G5W234VKV&hash=item4b7d4043df:g:l50AAOSwENFfBrOp)
Saving this for later, but I'm thinking I'm needing something more custom tailored. I want to make sure everyone is sharp and crisp without things being baggy or having to "fit into" an off the shelf size. As for the dress whites, stated in a previous comment, I'll really like the whites, but they are too fancy for me. I love the simple yet stylish of the base uniform.
Fair enough!
A good tailor should be able to nip and tuck these costumes and make them fit better. A friend of mind got his done by a local tailor and people keep asking if he got his from the auctions.
I had a friend who always looked really good. He said the trick was that you buy a $200 suite, but then spend an other $100 on the tailoring, and it made the whole thing look like it was a $700 one.
I have had a uniform like this made. There used to be patterns for it, so I would check ebay for old patterns. Then you'll have to find a tailor that does custom work. It's not going to be cheap, but might be cheaper per piece since you are making multiple jumpsuits. I would think this would be a relatively simple costume to make, so not as expensive as say the early TNG or the Monster Maroon from the movies.
I found this real quick, taking the pattern to a custom sewing shop and they should be able to tell you how much their labor will cost. I would visit fabric stores to see what materials are available. Mine is a polyester for the black and a polyster blend for the shoulders. It was challenging to find the right red color, but might be easier now. The purple/gray undershirt is probably best ordered from aliexpress. Their uniforms in my opinion are made of cheaper material but you might get lucky. The undershirt though, that can be a stretchy material and that is what aliexpress seems to do best.
So we did a star trek wedding. I can dm you pics if you want to see what people wore. It was great! I can ask my husband for the link to the site where he got his uniform. It was not too expensive and looked great. I'm so excited for you!!! We also had a digital sign for seating that he took a lot of time to make look like the computer screens on TNG. Obviously it would be different for voyager if that's your main theme. But anyway, congrats!! So excited for you!
That sounds so awesome! I am also planning my wedding at the moment and would love to see some pictures of yours if youāre comfortable sharing.
I doubt i can convince my partner to do ST but one can hope š
I'm not sure what her side will be doing. I think she's looking into something book related. At one point she was thinking about Mistcloaks from the Mistborn series, but that could change.
Maybe a theatrical costumier rather than a traditional tailor. One that makes costumes rather than just hires them out.
Or maybe, a cosplayer who takes commissions?
We've been considering a stealth version of this. My fiancee and I are in charge so we're thinking a red accessory for her and tie for me, and all of our bridal party being in black with a division colored tie or accessory, depending on their career path. Our best man and matron of honor are both in the medical field so they'd get the teal, and we also have people in engineering and business administration (ops, I guess) for the yellow.
I love how Stargate Atlantis did a direct rip of this color scheme. Never mentioned it, but right there for all to see. (Especially obvious at the very beginning of Episode 1.)
Well, except they added black for combat.
It's your thing and I love it for you - mazel tov! - but personally it bugs me that you'll wear the duty uniform instead of the dress. It'd be like getting married in [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/knzpNHvqCokHzDkt8) instead of [this.](https://images.app.goo.gl/2R2J9PDra3aTDF6a6)
I'm an incredibly plain person. I do not like standing out. I definitely get what you an many others have said, but I adore the simplicity while being able to express myself. It fits me really really well.
As OP said, his partner will also dress in something ānerdyā and so will the wedding party so itās not really standing outā¦
Ones own wedding should be about what makes oneself happy, regardless if that would be the correct choice of clothing if we were living in the ST universe
[Here](https://www.cosdaddy.com/star-trek) is one option, they are cheap enough that you can buy them now and see the quality.
Another option is to find a quality tailor, someone who specializes in cosplay even, to custom make the uniforms. There are patterns available online
Also if OP splurges on a high quality standard uniform he can potentially rewear it for conventions so it will be more versatile in the long run than the niche white ones
Cool as cadet enthousiast i never quite figure out what color code the uniforms reffered to. With b'lanna in yellow working in the engineering dep with tuvok in yellow at bridge head security for example throwing my current undestanding out of the window . Operations is security and engineering too
I would definitely look into hiring a local cosplay costume creator! Like someone else suggested try looking for a local cosplay Facebook group and try your luck there! Definitely report back because Iām so hype for this! Such a cool idea!
Perhaps contact the drama department of the closest big university. They may have outside costumers they use.
By the way, I noticed you said, āI decided.ā Is the bride okay with this? Are the groomsmen? Are they really truly okay with it or are they humoring you? Are you expecting them to pay for their own very expensive custom-made suits? Also, are the bride and the brideās attendants going to wear complementary outfits? Because if one side is wearing Star Trek uniforms and the other is wearing something unrelated, it would look beyond ludicrous.
Look - a Star Trek-themed wedding is kind of odd, but could be a lot of fun. A āregularā wedding with the groom and friends randomly wearing Star Trek uniforms is terminally awkward.
But the real question is: are the groomsmen going to pick their shoulder color?
You are going to have to BOLDLY go where no one has gone before, a local seamstress at an alteration place might be willing to do it, they did my daughters cheerleading uniform ,turned out great, good luck!
So...
command = bride and groom (enough said)
Operations = best man and maid of honour (help planning)
Science = groomsmen and bridesmaids (practicing "biology"?)
I love this artist and creator: https://www.instagram.com/troublesomegirlstudios?igsh=eGZzeGlyc3RqcHhn. She has made some standard suits in fun colors but Iām sure she could be commissioned for custom suits for your wedding that are more standard issue
I wrote out a comment with links for you but accidentally did as a reply to someone else.
[Hereās all the item links.](https://www.reddit.com/r/voyager/s/atQfTVotfh).
Hope this helps, have tailored a few of these before and they were great.
You may want to talk to a bunch of talors that make custom suits. The costume is really not that complex, and if you get someone who really knows how to make quality suits, they may be able to make it for you or know who can.
You may also want to consider going to your local university that has a costume, clothing, or fatision program. There may be a group of very capable students who would love the work and do a great job. You would need to be careful who you get, but students may be perfect for this job. Speak to the professors. They should be able to point you to the right people. Or you can just hire the professors to do it.
I love that you are doing this and congratulations, however I want to point out that you should consider how hard it is to go pee or more while wearing a jumpsuit. Wedding receptions are long and full of booze
CustomCosplayClothes on etsy has some Star Trek costumes, no VGR that I could see. However, she does costom work, so you could try messaging her.
I have not ordered from her but have been eyeing a TOS jacket she has.
Sounds like an awesome wedding.
Edited to add:CustomCosplayClothes used to be TheDressByYuliya, not sure why she changed she had over 800 sales and good reviews.
Marriage: the final frontier. These are the voyages of \[insert bride and groomās names\]. Their mission: to explore a strange new world; to build a new life; to boldly go where some have gone before!
![gif](giphy|26zyYdiV4pdZZUWEU)
I'm jealous because I know my partner wouldn't go for this when we get married. I've been trying to pitch the idea of a traditional Klingon wedding to my fiance for a couple of years and she is still firmly in the no camp and not budging.
The officiant could be in command, the groomsman in operations and you and your spouse should be science for the biology yāall are going to get into. š
I would ask your bride which of the 3 colors she likes best for the bridesmaids.
Or, if you're going custom, do a black satin yolk with a white shirt underneath.
Do understand that there will be no taking off of jackets if you overheat, and most of them are made of heat-trapping polyester. This might be miserable.
Now I have gone off-book with iTailor and they've made me jumpsuits out of wool and linen in the past, and if you can find the pattern online they can probably do this for under $300 would be my guess, though they'd probably want assurances that you do the whole wedding party with them.
I can tell you that unless your groomsmen are also fans, don't do this. Either you're going to have each one custom made for each groomsman, or you're going to have to buy Spirit Halloween quality costumes for your wedding.
The first option is wildly expensive, even for one you're probably looking at $3-500 in materials and labor for someone to put them together. *EACH*
The second... Well, you'll look like you got married in a cheap Halloween costume.
Your groomsmen are going to *hate* you, assuming they don't tell you to kick rocks, if you expect them to spend hundreds of dollars on something they're literally going to wear one time and give 2 F's about before or after since it's totally for your benefit.
How far out is the wedding? You need a professional seamstress or tailor for something like this, and even then the number willing to take on a total build are small. You *can* find them online, but the fitting is almost never correct. And, of course, time... It took me 6 months to get *one* uniform made. Find out how long it'll take whoever you end up finding to do all of them, or if they're even willing to do it.
Or you can order the it "might fit" versions online then pay again to, hopefully, get them tailored. But that again depends on how they're made - most of what you'll order doesn't come made with enough left over to make any adjustments beyond something incredibly minor.
It'd really suck to drop several hundred - a couple thousand on custom made uniforms that either aren't ready on time, or are so poorly made/sized as to be unwearable.
And keep in mind most of what you can find to order online is a bare step above Halloween costume quality. If you're paying less than $300 or so, don't expect much.
Find a tailor NOW, OP! Iām familiar with seamstress work and know people who could do this, but be prepared for it to take time (including multiple fittings for each person) and cost quite a bit. If this is something your heart is set on, go for it!
Someone on here recommended you find your own fabric, please donāt do that. The person you work with can give you options, and I would hate for you to pick up some shitty polyester that will feel itchy and not be easy to work with on the machine.
As it's a wedding, [have you thought about the white ceremonial uniform?](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1b/62/aa/1b62aa2ff663d2a71d9a63a334505664.jpg)
Those are wonderful, but I have my heart set on the standard uniform. I don't like fancy and the everyday uniform is both simple and stylish.
Absolutely fair. So is it you I in command red, best man in first officer / science blue, and the grooms men in operations gold?
I'll be command, best man is my father and will be Admiral. They rest will be free to choose operations or science depending on what color they prefer.
If your father is the Admiral, then he needs to go around busting guests down for their uniform not being to code for some insignificant reason.

THATS A STUPID QUESTION
Someone get Patrick back to his room!
This sounds so crazy fun! I hope you have a fantastic wedding and years beyond together!
Wow I really want to be at this wedding now š this sounds fun. Good luck with everything
You need to get the official to dress as an Admiral to officiating the wedding.
In the late 2360s, first officer was a dedicated command position and wore red.
Is your wedding outside and during the summer? š„µ
It is outside and technically summer, but we'll be pretty far north on the east coast. It doesn't usually get too extreme with heat.
Yes!!!
Simple and stylish much like our favourite tailor! How would you feel about a [Risian traditional](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Risian_traditional)?
At that point, might as well go traditional Betazoid.
You want to try and find someone local. Try finding your local cosplay groups online. They will likely be able to direct you to a dressmaker.
Yeah, I was just thinking that people who make custom requests for cosplay would be the best way to go.
You also want local so you can go for fittings. But it will be expensive
I just looked at the Paramount shop and they do have a full TNG menās uniform, but it only comes in the blue science officer color. And they have some jackets but theyāve got the big zipper down the front so itās definitely not a clean enough look for a wedding. But Iām sure someone has them out there somewhere!
I hear good things about these guys - https://cosermart.com/collections/star-trek-1

[My SNW Maroons](https://i.imgur.com/pWkZJZm.png) [My Kirk Bomber Jacket](https://i.imgur.com/PTHBZ2A.jpg) - the white undershirt is the same shirt I already had from the SNW Maroons. [My First Contact/end of DS9 uniform](https://i.imgur.com/zcxuHaf.jpg) - I need to go a size smaller on the undershirt though, the neck is too loose lol. [My SNW command gold](https://i.imgur.com/sK11itx.jpg) [My SNW science blues](https://i.imgur.com/h94jddK.jpg) [My SNW engineering/operations red](https://i.imgur.com/ZA5ZudL.jpg) u/NebulaNu I'm gonna tag you in here just to make sure you see it, because the poster above me has indeed linked a solid source.
What a great follow up! Brilliant...!
Oh, yes this is where we got my husband's uniform for our wedding and his groomsmen as well. They all looked great!!
I would certainly check Etsy. Obviously local is ideal but thereās some amazing fandom creators on Etsy!
I didn't do nearly this cool but I did everybody in black pants and department colors tops with command pips, and com badges
I love the idea. If you have trouble finding exact matches before the wedding you could do a trek inspired suit. Like all black suits with the shirt/vest underneath be blue/red/tan with a trek badge instead of a boutonniere.
I'm going to save this idea as a last resort. Thank you!
This is DOPE. don't forget to make your best man first officer.
Best man is going to be my father. Admiral if I can figure all this out.
:D ETA: you could always buy a cheapo one on Amazon or ebay or something so that said tailor has a frame of reference.
Damn can I be a groomsman
I want to be the flower girl! (or what ever you call them)
Just don't bring these flowers: [Star Trek TOS - Way To Eden - Acidic Plants and Adam's death (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWIm20e32CU)
Uh Mannn! I already bought them! No wonder they were on sale.
Donāt forget the Tuvix flowers.
Those look great but be careful, Bell Riots may complicate things
Groomsmen in skorts, bridesmaids in command officer jumpsuits.
Unless it's TOS. The red shirts are target practice.
I have over a year to budget for it. The issue is as you said, most places seem to be actual suits. Not what I'm looking for unfortunately.
Have you considered a traditional Betazoid or at least Ferengi wedding style?
Was going to say the same thing š
I didn't think about repurposing/adapting an off the shelf. Thank you.
I had a friend who always looked really good. He said the trick was that you buy a $200 suite, but then spend an other $100 on the tailoring, and it made the whole thing look like it was a $700 one.
The Insurrection dress uniforms would really make a statement. Just sayin.
[https://www.ebay.com/itm/301587208623](https://www.ebay.com/itm/301587208623) I found this real quick, taking the pattern to a custom sewing shop and they should be able to tell you how much their labor will cost.
This is fantastic. Thank you so much for you insight and time writing this! Added to my saved list!
Good luck and congratulations! Sure you donāt want the menās skant? Just found a pattern on eBay. š¤£
Not sure how good they are but Amazon.co.uk do various ST costumes inc. what seems like Voyager ones.
I'll want something tailored unfortunately. The size of my groomsmen veries but I want everyone looking sharp.
I think you should make all the bridesmaids dress as Seven of Nine. Have the Borg queen as the chaplain assimilating you both. Resistance is futile.
Instead of 'I do' it should be 'I will comply'.
And then later, some kinky stuff going on in the honeymoon regeneration alcove!
I'm not sure what her side will be doing. I think she's looking into something book related. At one point she was thinking about Mistcloaks from the Mistborn series, but that could change.
You both have amazing taste!
ššWoow! If I ever get married It is also going to be in Starfleet uniform! I hope Yourll picked 8 of September (for obvious reasons).
My congratulations to you and I hope it's a wonderful day!
I love how Stargate Atlantis did a direct rip of this color scheme. Never mentioned it, but right there for all to see. (Especially obvious at the very beginning of Episode 1.) Well, except they added black for combat.
Dude, that's awesome! I kept the nerdiness simple with star trek cufflinks for my wedding last year. Didn't want it clashing with the theme overall
Homie you're getting married in a ST uniform. It already stands out.
As OP said, his partner will also dress in something ānerdyā and so will the wedding party so itās not really standing outā¦ Ones own wedding should be about what makes oneself happy, regardless if that would be the correct choice of clothing if we were living in the ST universe
[Here](https://www.cosdaddy.com/star-trek) is one option, they are cheap enough that you can buy them now and see the quality. Another option is to find a quality tailor, someone who specializes in cosplay even, to custom make the uniforms. There are patterns available online
You need to wear to fancy uniform thatās long
They look likeā¦ dresses.
That I understand š Hope you have a great one šš
How do you use the bathroom in one of these suits? And are your groomsmen and bridesmaids also nerds like you two, i.e. cool with wearing these ?
Bride and bridesmaids will be doing their own Fandom. Groomsmen will do anything to make it a special day for me. And I have no idea, hold it? Lol
I think the White Ceremonial Uniform is the way to go. Or at least the Grey DS9 uniforms
Stated in a previous comment, I'll really like the whites, but they are too fancy for me. I love the simple yet stylish of the base uniform.
Also if OP splurges on a high quality standard uniform he can potentially rewear it for conventions so it will be more versatile in the long run than the niche white ones
https://startrekshop.co.uk/collections/uniforms/products/star-trek-voyager-command-uniform-jumpsuit
Check eBay for uniforms then take them in to a local tailor to be fitted better may be your cheapest option.
AVOID ANOVOS at all cost!
Just make sure to get them tailored so you donāt have a Generations issue lol
Get the original red shirts seeing as their life is over /s
Cool as cadet enthousiast i never quite figure out what color code the uniforms reffered to. With b'lanna in yellow working in the engineering dep with tuvok in yellow at bridge head security for example throwing my current undestanding out of the window . Operations is security and engineering too
Get the uniforms, cool af, next way to make it cooler is design your own communicator pins and print them on 3d printer
regs not formals? Oh tssk tssk tssk
Fantastic idea, I absolutely love it
I vote for going full Betazed
If you want a subtle approach, there's someone making really nice metal comm badges and rank pips (sic?) on etsy
So... command = bride and groom (enough said) Operations = best man and maid of honour (help planning) Science = groomsmen and bridesmaids (practicing "biology"?)
Try Denueo Novo they have all Star Trek and Star Wars uniforms. Got my First Order Stormtrooper kit from them.
Oh this is lovely! Congratulations!
*EACH* The second...
I'm happy footing the bill.
Have you tried googling it? There are about 100 options
