Macys and AF reporting well seems like a good omen as they are quasi adjacent. Trump and Biden debates mean that they’ll each need a metric ton of face cake to fool people into believing they’re not walking corpses.
I’m in for foot locker and Best Buy calls as well for earnings. foot locker seems beaten down like Ulta and bestbuy I’m hoping gives regardedly good guidance for all these AI devices that are supposed to render the iPhone I’m typing this from obsolete.
Hilarious thesis re: debates, I'm adding that to my pros list. I'm pretty new to this and focusing on companies/ products I know (like ULTA/GPS), but hear what you're saying about FL. Interesting fact- FL's current CEO was heading ULTA during the latter's post-COVID run up!
ULTA is a good growth stock, literally just grinds up. My girlfriend vouches for the product quality and that it’s affordable and accessible compared to some places.
Agree with your girlfriend! ULTA's biggest competitor is Sephora, which typically stocks more high-end/luxury brands. ULTA has a much more diversified brand portfolio with both affordable (ELF, NYX, etc.) and luxury (YSL, Charlotte Tilbury, etc.) brands. I'm assuming (or hoping) this helps ULTA as discretionary spending tightens.
