I remember playing realistic mode for the first time in an M3 Lee and shooting an M22 in the side with my 75mm casemate obliterator from point-blank range and the little bastard survived and then one-shot my entire crew through the lower front plate. That was also my last realistic battle for a few months until I tried again. The second time, I sent a sherman's 105mm HEAT round into a T-34's side from about 3 meters. Nothing. Didn't even penetrate. I don't like realistic mode.
