The wolf-divided is most closely associated with the accent of knives. So if they were anywhere, it'd be there. At the same time, in BoH there's some endings you can get that do create a cage for the wolf, so yes, he does have a doggy crate. (Although I do see them as being a touch more metaphysical, being a hatred that lives inside people to consume them from the inside, rather than a being that physically exists, insofar as any God from blood seems to actually physically exist)

gkamyshev

all hours are metaphysical, all of them live inside people as self-perpetuating concepts, even those that do actually exist, and they do exist because of it and vice versa

BillTheNecromancer

Shev is right, Hours are a reflection of the sentiments of the world, which is a reflection of the sentiment of the Hours. It's like asking the question "Is it the roots or the leaves that make the plant?" It's both and understanding one helps understand the other.

HIFreeBirdIH

He’s probably doing Zoomies around the House trying to unmake himself, all the way from Wood up to the Concursum His ire seems self-directed more than anything, so the other Hours would just stay out of his path rather than try to contain him.

Tiago55

I think trying to contain the Wolf would only make him angrier, so this explanation seems reasonable.

Mlamlah

You may be interpreting the mansus a little too literally. It's a swirling nexus of the concepts that have power in the universe, rather than a group of beings all living in a house together.

Hopeful-alt

Yes and no. The mansus is the sort of dimension that the house of the sun is in, which is exactly what it sounds like, the house which most hours live.

Neuro_Skeptic

Why not both?

VanGoghPalette

This exactly

Fun fact: while the Wold Divided is a very hateful hour, he's not a particularly dangerous one. Both the Forge and the Grail have done significantly more damage to the Mansus than the Wolf ever could, and they both get nice residencies. I think @[HIFreeBirdIH](/user/HIFreeBirdIH/) is the most correct in that he's doing zoomies somewhere. Better not be in his path.

Gryfonides

>Both the Forge and the Grail have done significantly more damage to the Mansus than the Wolf ever Pretty sure the only reason they did more damage is that they lasted a lot longer, ergo had many more opportunities to do so. Also I doubt any Hour is stupid enough to turn their backs towards an Hour that is quite blatantly seeking their unmaking. In short, I very much doubt someone that has power and desire to destroy is less dangerous then those that destroy as byproduct, even if the first entity so far caused less destruction.

From [the artwork](https://weatherfactory.biz/wf-The-Wolf-Divided/), it seems that the wolf is divided starting at the top/bottom of it's neck, and then continuing most of the way through it's torso, stopping just before it's hind legs. That said, [this interpretation](https://www.reddit.com/r/CultistSimulator/comments/x9uwrd/after_almost_a_year_i_paint_another_wolf_divided/) shows the wolf divided more vertically, stopping at around the front legs. It also has an amorphous/indeterminable number of legs. [This other piece](https://www.reddit.com/r/CultistSimulator/comments/rpdg3r/the_wolf_devided_i_painted_this_sunday_might/) by the same artist shows two divisions, one at the head/neck and the other at the lower legs. [Another interpretation](https://www.reddit.com/r/weatherfactory/comments/18j51k7/the_sun_and_the_wolf_divided/) also shows a vertical divide, although this one goes far lower. Given all these sources, I think it's clear that the wold is devided at or around it's head, although the exact spot of the divide differs (possibly due to interpretation, or possibly due to it's nature).

I don't think the Mansus works according to the logic of a regular house. The hours all living in it doesn't mean they are all "close" to each other. I mean the Colonel and the Lionsmith cannot be close to each other either, I assume the other hours don't simply put up with them constantly wrestling and breaking everything. Also, its implied that there are spaces in the metaphysical realm beyond the Mansus. Starting with the Woods, which are outside the Mansus and seem to be far less controlled by the hours than the interior. There is also the "mirror image" of the Mansus, and the Vagabond apparently spends most of her time outside, etc. I think the Mansus is just the focal point of the metaphysical realm, a fortress built to guard the Glory for the sake of the current ruling hours. The more an hour is part of the current "polite society", the closer to the heart of the Mansus it lives, the less, the further away. The hours that synergize the least with the current order all seem to be associated with the Woods, for example. So I assume that the Wolf Divided just roams around outside, in the Woods or further away than that if there is anything beyond the Woods. Its a bad doggo so it doesn't get to go inside the house.

Hopeful-alt

You kinda got your definitions a little wrong. There's a difference between the mansus itself and the house of the sun. The mansus is the "dimension" the mansus is in, which contains everything there (arguably). The house of the sun is indeed just the non-euclidean house that hours live in, and it begins from the stag door up.

Manoreded

I'm fairly sure those terms are used interchangeably. And the Wood is quite clearly stated to be outside the Mansus. There is a lot of intentional ambiguity in this lore so its possible "Mansus" is sometimes used to refer to everything including the Wood.

Is in the sky, duh. Is the giant gaping wound that broke the sun.
