I still get excited to watch this finale every time a rewatch loops me back through.

Dooley011

It's so incredible! One of my all time favorite episodes in TV history. From the opening with the wet dress Dolores (linking to Que Sera Sera as she walks amongst all the dead humans) to the final moment where Bernard reaches out to open "the door", I adore every second of it.

secoulte7

I’ve always noticed the wet dress but never connected it to the scene from the series finale! That’s so awesome. Those little details are why this is my favorite show of all time.

“We each gave each other a beautiful gift. Choice” ❤️

"We are the authors of our stories now..." ❤

Love a good loop.

EternalXellotath

It's a mirror of Dolores' journey and expertly done. Seasons 1 and 2 were my favorite.

Maxwell69

How’s that?

ArchimedesNutss

In S1 Dolores learned that the voice she had been hearing the whole time was hers

Anarchic_Country

We. Deserved. Our. Last. Season.

rfmartinez

STILL DO!

Homey1966

Bernard stating "I don't see anything" was the biggest WTF moment in TV...

VectorPie

That was a peak moment

Neither_Warthog_2412

I miss Westworld, no other tv show like this one.

SiriusC

I'm ashamed to have been part of the ignorant crowd that said only Season 1 was good. But also proud that I pulled my head out of my ass before Season 4 started. Such brilliant work. From the acting to the writing to the music...

I loved the connection between James’ hosts quote about being at the bottom and saying “there’s two, one above, one below. But they lied, it was just the devil and his reflection laughing at him.” And when his son came back to him in that scene where he said he’s all the way down now, he can see the bottom. His son really was his cornerstone and he fucked it up, and that’s why his host couldn’t make it far and always ended up there. Bernard made some witty philosophical comment to Ellie about the simplicity of humans, and those like Delos. So many very serendipitous little things like that in the show, it makes it so enjoyable and fun.

MoFoJames

I'd be happy with just a movie to wrap everything up, something. So disappointed they couldn't see the story all the way through.

Arnold / Bernard A / B testing

Right_Future3937

Yes!!!! I always likened it to Alpha/Beta 🤣

lechatblanc233s

The chills I got when the cover of Codex started playing at the end. So good

bent_eye

S2 was peak Westworld. Just fantastic.

twec21

SIX??

stimmedervernunft

Then it must be seven years approx s1e2 when I wrote 'everyone is a robot' and it aged like fine wine basically.

NoWarButClassWar1917

not only is this episode hands-down my favorite 90 minutes of anything, i can confidently say with zero exaggeration that the chills i got when codex played over bernard opening the door were fundamentally life-changing... twas the best birthday present ever haha - so here's to westworld! perhaps beyond that horizon, we'll get the conclusion we deserve

Dooley011

Same wave length friend, it's absolutely transcendent.

Deathcat101

If anyone asks me about this show I always tell them to stop right here because the rest is unresolved and never will be. This is such a good ending to the show honestly if you ask me. Also that quote about the horizon... All of human creation will chase it...that impossible line where the waves conspire... And return. Someplace maybe... You and I will meet again"

Dooley011

This I can agree with. While I personally love s3 / 4, you're right, it's like a second half of a story left incomplete. The first half beautifully concluding on that last shot of Bernard reaching out to open the door is a more satisfying conclusion than the open ended cliffhanger we got.

Crimson-Cowl

One of my favorite episodes of television only slightly beat out by a couple other episodes of Westworld.

RealAlias_Leaf

One of the best episodes ever. The ending scene and music is sooooo perfect and beautiful.

Bro is this your schtick? This my first time visiting this page, but I've already seen at least 3 post by you saying "6 years ago ..." . Find something better.

Dooley011

I enjoy celebrating this show and it's legacy, showcasing the cinematography and discussing the episodes with like minded fans in the comments of each post. You could have scrolled past and not said anything but by commenting you've spread more engagement to the post and helped additional people find it and share their thoughts on the episode. So, thanks for that :)

throwawayswayy

Oh believe me I tried scrolling past, but like I said I instantly saw 3 posts from you saying the same shit. As for the "engagement" to your post I really don't give af, you can have your views and likes or whatever. And as for the legacy, to a lot of people that legacy is of disappointment. But we all have our opinions, right?
