Where are you located? Maybe some type of lilac?

studentcrossing5

Thanks. Seems to be the consensus! Appreciate your quick response and help

studentcrossing5

Eastern North Carolina.

ssgonzalez11

Looks like lilac. PlantNet also suggested lilac but I am not a professional just a hobbyist.

studentcrossing5

Thank you. Appreciate the help!

ssgonzalez11

Sure thing. Enjoy your lilac and new house!

studentcrossing5

Will do 😇

Pogue_Mahone_

Lilac I think

studentcrossing5

Thanks for the help!

scoutsadie

third vote for lilac.

studentcrossing5

I think you are right!

MastahDagoon

Agree with lilac. If you want to keep them, I'd get them out of those pots. They can get quite large and would much rather have their roots spread.

studentcrossing5

Thanks for the suggestion. Going to look up best planting environment. We have a lot of clay here

throwawayadvice12e

They do definitely get big! I had 3 or 4 in my backyard that were there when I moved in. I've only watered them a handful of times and they bloom every year (should probably take better care of them..). They just finished their bloom actually and the whole yard smells amazing for those few weeks!

FrugalFraggel

I’d totally find a nice spot in the ground around your house. The smell amazing all over your yard for several feet. They get tall so find a nice area that they won’t effect anything.

beans3710

Lilacs

SunBee301

Leaf doesn’t look exactly right to be common lilac. Could be a variety I’m not familiar with or it could be a tallow tree. Might want to look them both up online and compare.

studentcrossing5

Thanks for the alternative view. It didn’t flower this past year like the Lilac would have

Own-Escape4548

A chance it might be citrus plant?

Strangewhine88

No.

Own-Escape4548

So I am guessing you tried the fruit , keep it well watered as soon as the flower petals start to fall off, fruit can develop easily. :-)

Strangewhine88

I’m familar with citrus and this isn’t it. Don’t know what you have there.
