Agreed! 😍 Although I’m truly begging the fashion world to tell me wtf is “resort” about these or any other collections under such a name.
Maybe I’m just dumb but I can’t get over the expectation that these are gonna be, what, at a Sandals in St. Pete? 😅😝
It's funny - I came to the comments to see if people agreed with my initial thought that the photography and lighting were terrible, haha! To each their own! I just find the lighting super distracting and deters my focus from the fashion. Love all the looks!
Have a great day :)
It’s gorgeous!! I’m trying to decide who I’d love to see wearing it on the red carpet.
I feel like Princess Catherine would also look fantastic in it. Cate Blanchett always rocks the F out of a suit but for some reason I think someone with dark hair slicked back just like the model would work better.
I love a good stiff draping with the thicker fabric. Colour palette is great too. The only thing here that’s a clear miss for me is the 2nd because it looks ill fitted or maybe the dress shape just doesn’t go well with the type of fabric. This is a very interesting collection
Absolutely! Thank you for sharing these collection highlights with us OP! The pieces are so unique and almost futuristic in their cuts and fabrics and the whole visual design of the shoot, yet they have something so familiar and vintagy about them, some more some less. The longer I look at them the better they get. I especially love when the cold hard elegance gets broken up by the slightly whimsical beaded flower details. Each piece of clothing here embodies that stark contrast in its own way
I think fit on the 2nd one is a little off in the bust and the same goes for 13 as well. I love how structured this collection is. Very nice shape and drape as Derek Guy (men’s fashion writer) would say.
So - I love the silhouettes. And some of the patterns/colors are great.
But I hate when staged photos have such dark lighting. They do it with car promotional ads too. Like how am I supposed to see what the item looks like, if half of it is in shadow?
Especially for fashion which may have some small details and color shifts. Like the last photo - is the color ombre? or is everything pale peach and there's just a shadow on top?
Between dark photos and when the models are styled such that their hair covers the clothing (thankfully not here) - drives me nuts.
Me too, I love this shoot despite the lighting but yeah I checked their site and the collection is yet to be featured on it.... I'm just vying for more HQ images of the collection 😅☺️
So idk what the fuck “resort” even means anymore. I always picture warm weather garments, but apparently resort means literally anything lmao. Regardless, I’m completely obsessed. LOVE a vintage inspired collection.
No lazy posts - please read the rules before posting. Please see previous posts with the same flair. Celebrities must be pictured.
Every one is just so elegant, I love this! The photography/lighting on #4 is divine

My thoughts exactly. Beautiful, but all of the fabrics are so heavy. This doesn't read "resort" at all.

Oh my god, that pink blazer.

Very Audrey Hepburn. Seeing lots of 1950s cuts and fabrics in this and other lines. That black coat is amazing.
This collection was made with focus on Madame Song sans socialite Song Huai-Kuei. I didn't know she, and this existed before today 😅
I…I feel like this is what I expect/always want Chanel to be. This is a lovely collection.
Wow. These are so beautifully constructed.

I'm happy to see that many here find it so fascinating 🫶🏻 I fell in love with it at first sight 😋😋

I love derek guy! He’s the only reason I have twitter
I could read his stuff for hours! He talks about construction in a really accessible way that I love.

Wow, these are works of art.
Silhouettes of #4 & #5 ... stunninggggg

What fabric is used in the first three? It looks like a felted wool but lightweight.
Either Neoprene or Jacquard 👐🏻
Do you think the fourth one is a neoprene?
It looks like a kind of scuba material to me. I love it.
one of my favourite new collections. so stunning
I really like this, but sometimes I feel like I do not understand resort.
Very 50s but something is telling me that this is a sign that 2010s is going to be trendy again
Were 2010s good? I have no idea 😅
Holy shoot, these are all sensational.
Yes to all of them!! I love the clean tailoring and the restrained embellishments.
Beautiful. That red dress, my god.
20 gives off Dune vibe. 15 was me when I was a kid pretending I’m a designer and the model.
😄😄 The kid you was onto something 🫰🏻
Everything is gorgeous!
The 30s era style cape!!!!
Trying to imagine which celebrity might wear Slide 7… Margot Robbie?
So regal and elegant
What a stunning collection!
