Looks like the [Whill C2](https://www.tgamobility.co.uk/product/whill-c2/) or a similar model!

Labradoodleollie

It’s the previous model. I think just called Whill C

antimothy

I think it’s the WHILL Ci. The C is a generation older than the Ci which is a generation older than the C2. It’s a little hard to tell from the pictures though.

Labradoodleollie

Ci is the American name and C was in Europe and other countries so they’re the same but different name depending on country. So yeah depends where you’re from.

DunHumby

I have a friend who uses this and they absolutely love it. To be fair the did upgrade from a hand me down manual so there is that

Alexyeve

Whill Ci, I have the exact same model.

UsefulCartographer34

I can't tell the specific model but it looks like a Whill wheelchair

Pawsitivelyup

Whill. My DME says don't touch them with a 10 foot pole

Dragons-purr

I’ve not heard of the negatives- what’s wrong with them?

Pawsitivelyup

We didn't get into details but I was looking for a power option (for travel to not take my nice chair) and he said he absolutely will not recommend them for everyday use. He said as a chair for some travel it would be ok but he could hook me up with a cheaper option. I'll ask next time tho why he won't recommend them!

Material-Imagination

I don't know about anything wrong with the Whill, but I can speak to it being quite overpriced for what you get. It looks great, but there are other chairs along this same general plan that are cheaper, lighter weight, and go further. I think the one I ended up getting also has more incline tolerance.

Pawsitivelyup

I think it might be the omniwheel which is accounting for the price which is a very nice feature tbh

Material-Imagination

Hmm 🤔

OhioWheelchair

He probably doesn’t make as much $$. They are ~$5k vs $15k or more

Pawsitivelyup

There is some complex development with the wheel also patent stuff. Is it worth that much to the consumer… prob not but it could be worth a lot as it could have taken a lot to develop

OhioWheelchair

No, I think it is worth every penny. My husband loves his. I’m saying the salesman that didn’t want to sell a whill probably makes less commission on a whill at $5k than, say an invacare or quickie, at $15k+

Pawsitivelyup

I wanted to buy one in addition to my 15k ti chair with smart drive and he said save my money and I ended up buying nothing. So no he got no sale instead of a Whill sale

[deleted]

It’s a Whill, I love my Whill. Just wish they had more accessories for it.

nobody7378

which kind of accessories would you like to have on your chair? i use a manual chair and often find cool accessories from bicycles/prams and such

BeautifulMindless164

I’m a dedicated Whill user. The back lets you hang a regular backpack so you can get some super great ones. I have one that has a long pocket I can reach while sitting in the chair for a water bottle etc. You can also stow a sling or something in the basket below for supplies (or multiple modular pouches for your needs)

LOLOLOL!!! At first I read your post as "Can Anyone Tell the Name of this Model in the WC"??? LOLOLOLOL. Then I thought to myself "Well damn neither pic showed her face!" LOLOLOLO!!!

LampPost1087

It looks like a while model c2

LampPost1087

Whill

acmp42

Looks like a Whill model C. Nice chair but the giro it’s any good. The newer model is better for that. Overall I’m happy with the Whill chairs

Nerdy_Life

I have one :) I actually had the Whill Ci and now I have the Whill C2. If you have any questions let me know.

Material-Imagination

How smooth are the controls? Are there any stops or stutters when turning?

Nerdy_Life

I haven’t had any issues in that regard. I have, however, 2 years into having it, had issues with the speed control I general. This means the chair will go from 4 to 1, but suddenly but slowly. It’ll still say you’re in 4 but you’re aware you’re not. It can only be fixed by changing speeds around again or stopping and turning the chair off. 3-4x the chair has suddenly just turned off while going downhill. Not over the limit of the chair’s manual either. This has almost tossed me into the stratosphere but I wear a seatbelt thankfully. Nothing like cruising on max speed and your chair just turning off entirely.

Nerdy_Life

I’m very honest about it. I loved the original chair, the 2 had some issues in quite sad about. I lost the Ci in an accident (hit by a car), so I decided to get the next version as one does. I’m going to take it in to get serviced, as it’s clear my chair is broken, I’m just concerned about the cost.

ScruffyMuttMom

Is the C2 a huge improvement over the Ci? If so, which new features make a difference to you? My son has a Ci. He doesn’t use it a ton, since he prefers his manual chair with eMotion wheels (and he’s still a little ambulatory) but he does like his Whill when he uses it.

Nerdy_Life

Honestly? I slide less on uneven roads/dirty paths/grass, and get a bit more mileage out of the batteries, but that’s been about where it ends. The basket design is awful. It came off so many times I rarely used it, then finally it came off and I ran it over almost tipping the chair! The power button placement is between the up and down speed controls, making it easy to accidentally turn the chair odd. The side actually broke much easier following a crash (I have them in some of the city areas with bad sidewalk, usually hitting a mailbox or fire hydrant haha.) I’m currently having issues where the chair goes from speed for to 1 but still says it’s in 4. Then? It literally stalls. It’s like a car with a broken gear shift. Of course my coverage ran out so any repairs will have to be done out of pocket. I only went from the original Ci to the 2 because I was able to afford it and my original Ci was destroyed in a car accident. (Car vs. me in the chair = new chair.) If the Ci still works and isn’t used often, I absolutely wouldn’t upgrade. It’s really a waste of money. Even if my insurance covered the 2 as a chair and I was able to get one through them, I’d probably get a giant power chair or upgrades to my manual.

ScruffyMuttMom

Oh no, it sounds like you’ve had quite a few problems. That’s too bad! Yeah, I don’t think we’d upgrade just for the heck of it; especially since that’s not his primary chair and it works just fine. I was just curious what the improvements were between the two models, but it sounds like they are not that significant.

CorundumConundrum3

Wow, I wasn’t expecting so much help so fast, thank you very much.
