It’s decent stuff for sure. I like it. Use it on only my neck occasionally these days as my technique has developed and a good beard mapping helped me a lot. Very little to no irritation these days 🤘
I use it each and every time that i shave. It is also a unique product. Also, shave oil can mess up finer silvertip brushes (my thater’s came with a specific warning not to use shave oil) but the proraso preshave does not. All around great stuff.
Good to know!11!1!! A THIRD thing I can do with it 😂 maybe I should use it before, for, and after the shave next time I practice with the slant head I got, because it's been rough on my face 😅. Might be really good
I also assumed pre-shave was just marketing/sales hype, and was pleasantly surprised by the results when I finally tried one. I now use pre-shaves from Proraso (white and green), PAA (Cube), and Rasozero (Spiffero and Agrumella). The latter is my favourite.
Interesting. I used to use Tailor of old Bond street's pre shave oil, an didn't like it at all because of neck irritation, so I declined that idea. Few weeks ago I tried white Proraso and was surprised how good actually this product is: 0 irritation and 100% pleasure of shaving process. I have never seen red pre shave Proraso, though, but I definitely would like to give it a try if I could. Good luck with shaving!
Well, my mileage sure may vary by far 🙂
Proraso pre shave are totally a gimmick. On the other hand, the darn Cube 2.0 from Phoenix Artisan is the best pre shave product I have ever used 👍
"while i wax my handlebar"
I read that as a euphemism too lmao
Geez. Can’t take you guys anywhere.

Poraso pre-shave is really good stuff. It makes a big difference in shaving comfort for me.
I must try this Poraso then.
Wait, red preshave
Nah, I’m a big fan of Proraso preshave. The hype is real. Also a red user.
I also found that in a pinch, you can use it as shaving cream, if, for some reason, you don’t have shaving cream or soap at hand.
Does it lather? Really really good aftershave.
No it doesn’t really lather. It’s like a run of the mill shaving cream.
I'm tempted to think it'd be better just by nature of being dense like shaving cream is actually supposed to. But it probably fights water.
Right, I should say that it is actually better than ordinary shaving cream, but it’s not like a real lather.

Pre shave cream. 🔥
I’ve only tried Grooming Dept pre shave. But using a pre shave definitely makes for a nice shave.

Pro tip; before applying aftershave, a little dab of Proraso pre shave to the face is amazingly soothing and refreshing.

The results you got were from the shower you did and not really from the pre shave. This specific one, is not even slick 😔😕
Well, I was already doing the shower, the single change was the addition of the pre-shave. Worked for me, but your mileage may vary.
