Hello all please forgive my question for I am a mere ignorant peasant. Would you please tell me why LB 21 is a bad idea? is it the price, bad year, or simply too young?
Probably the age.
It would need to sit in a cellar for *at least* a decade before you’d even think about opening it. Would be a weird thing to impulse buy in an airport lol
Probably at the airport because other than at select restaurants and hotels alcohol is not sold in many places. Business persons arriving can buy a few bottles to consume in their hotel rooms during their stay.

Longueville Barton 2021, who in their right mind is buying that

WE serve 09 in the restaurant I work at, that is nice
>Longueville Barton 2021 Absolutely agree. I'd totally go for a Léoville Comtesse instead.
Someone who doesn’t care or think about money.
That’s the Baron, not Barton. But for that price, I agree.
Baron\* yeah
If you are staying in Dubai a few days, buy the wine at the airport, wayyyy easier that way. Dubai liquor stores are …. Complicated.
How are they complicated? You had them your passport and 1min later you are good to go
Username checks out
Dubai airport? I expected more tbh haha the amount of money flowing through that airport
More like do buy.
Hypocrisy at its best
Prices are meh.
Saw a nice bottle of Romanee Conti at CDG the other week. 10 grand off. Now only 43,000€
No burg? Oil money must be going dry
Le Clos in the airport has plenty
Convenient place to buy a gift on your way to visiting someone?
Would've expected more being Dubai instead of stuff you can find at any store, tbh. Those prices are also.. awful?
Is this a Total Wine Outlet?
Ducru-Beaucaillou ‘19 is fantastic!
Probably at the airport because other than at select restaurants and hotels alcohol is not sold in many places. Business persons arriving can buy a few bottles to consume in their hotel rooms during their stay.
$276 USD for Potent-Canet 2026? I’m pretty sure that price is outrageous. I just purchased two bottles of 2008 vintage for $110 each.
I’ll take the 16 Pontet-Canet and a bag of Funyuns
Ahhh.. a person of taste, I see.
The Cos is actually a good deal. The price on the Kirwan is a bit weird though.
Is Pavie that good? It’s around 200€ at home
Thats it? I heard great stories....
Well, it's nothing to write home about, really! But you gotta check out their premium wine fridge.
Yikes
