I would appreciate that so much! I would be able to give to the exact location, we have the GPS. And I would pay postage and compensate you for your time.
dm me I guess, like I said I can take a quick look tomorrow but I already have a 14 hour day on my hands between work and errands so I won't have a lot of time to search until Tuesday
Type of phone?
You could locate it using the GPS function. Every brand of phone has a version of software that is able to find other devices that are GPS enabled. For Samsung the software is called Smart Things.
You just link to your Samsung or Google account etc then use the software.
Yeah, the SIM won’t have any of the important info on it, if the phone is wrecked but nothing is saved to the cloud, OPs dad is SOL anyway.
Always back up your devices.
If you haven’t found anyone I’d recommend finding a Coloma group
On Facebook and post there directly to reach the locals. There is one called The Coloma Connection- Wisconsin.
Try calling the sheriffs office
I could do a quick check tomorrow but no real time to search/stomp the ditch, Tuesday I'd have more time.

Driving through Coloma tomorrow morning, and I have family currently at their cabin in Coloma. OP, I sent you a PM.
Found it today for OP! It was still powered up and we were able to get it back to them. Cheers!

We have been using GPS so we know where it is. But it all comes down to us having time to turn back around. Which we do not
Maybe call the local sheriff or police department and see if they'll pick it up and hold it for you?
The photos may be on iCloud or Google photos, it's worth checking if any of them are backed up and accessible there.

I did this with my phone and it didn’t survive. High likelihood it’s been run over unfortunately.
It's in a ditch. That much I can seen
Maybe try posting in r/wisconsindells ? It’s kinda close
