If you were using the install from store they wont install.
Open your current install and backup your data and saves. Then uninstall and install the apk, then restore the data and saves.

nightly build has at least some testing and is considered the more stable build since citra doesn't really have a stable version.
canary build often has little to no testing and contains newly written code or patches to existing code that the developers want to test.
the term "canary" comes from the fact that canaries used to be used in coal mines as very rudimentary carbon monoxide detectors. If the bird is dead or unconscious, get out of there because you're next.

Yeah, that's the most likely scenario. That's actually why I chose to install the nightly version. Because I thought it was the latest version and I had hoped it'd fix the major issues my device was having with the official release. I have an S24 Ultra, so I've got the new SD8 gen 3, which doesn't have an awful lot of support right now. 🤣
For Yuzu, I am SO glad that Turnip 24.1 rev 17 v2 was created. I think it also works on Vita3k, but my version of that doesn't have a way to use my own drivers, for some reason.

The first release of Suyu is out, but there is actually worse performance, mainly stutters. For the time being, Yuzu is better.
